Chapter 45: Friday

The party concluded two hours before midnight. Many of the guests have already left, but the Wright siblings were still enjoying their chat. While sitting in front of the same round table with Kaleb, Scarlett finally had the chance to check her mobile.

Her eyes widened seeing how many calls she had missed, all of them, coming from Cindy Barnes. She turned to Kaleb, and he was quick to pick up based on her worried expression. She tilted her head in the direction of the huge double doors and Kaleb nodded, silently agreeing.

Soon, she made her way outside. Scarlett found a good private spot where three sofa seats were set up in one corner. She sucked in a breath before making the call.

“Scarlett, I need your help,” Cindy quickly answered.

Composing herself, Scarlett thought back. ‘How would I normally answer this?’
