You shouldn't have

Hazel.

I could still feel the heat around my veins when I shot my eyes open. I tried to seat up but I couldn't do it on my own. I feel weak and tired.

I look around the room and it is unrecognizable. There is no one else asides from me. I struggle to seat up again when the door bursts open and Lucian and a dark-haired woman walk in, followed by Henry.

Lucian's gaze on me is piercing and I could tell that he is upset with me.

"Examine her." he tells the dark-haired woman, his voice thick and firm.

The woman comes to places her hand in strategic places.

She looks at me and asks, "Do you feel pain anywhere?"

I hesitate.

"Answer her, Hazel." Lucian said to me, his voice far from calm and gentle.

"My..my veins.." I reply, wondering how I could describe the pain, "It feels hot."

She turns back to Lucian and says, "Perhaps a cold bath would help."

Lucian nods and the woman bows before leaving. I look away, avoiding Lucian's gaze.
