Lucian.

How do I explain to Hazel that I am protecting her? Revealing her as my wife to Cassie would put her in danger. I was on my way to the room when Cassie stopped in front of me.

"We need to talk." she said

"No," I snapped, "Get to bed and make sure you get out of my house before dawn."

I begin to move however she wraps her hands around me.

"What the fuck, Cassie?! Get your hands off me." I pulled her hands away while trying not to hurt her.

"Stop behaving this way! I told you I have a girlfriend now." I yell at her.

"Cut the crap, Lucian. The real reason you have her is to raise your mother from the-"

I quickly rush at her while stopping her from finishing the rest of her words. This woman would be the death of me.

I grab her arm and pull her away from the passage, into the room I had assigned to her. I locked the door behind us.

"What?" she rolls her eyes, "You're hiding it from her?"

"It's complicated," I snort, "But that doesn't mean you should go around running your mouth!"
