Lucian.
I'm back. Back to the pack I was thrown out of. Even though it is obvious that my brothers and father hates me, I'm willing to do everything in my power to win back my father's affection. My mom, the only person who ever really loved me, died years ago. I was banished from the pack because, according to my father, I'm a threat to my brother who is the next Alpha of the pack. I had more powers than him and I would usually beat him hands down when we trained on the field as kids. The only thing wrong with it is the fact that he is my elder brother and I am the youngest. Both my parents are werewolves, so I have no idea how my wolf turned out to be a Lycan. Due to this, my dad saw me entirely different from him yet I still wanted to win his trust and love. The only way I could is by finding my mate. I'm twenty-five and yet to find my mate. Since I'm desperate to get admitted into the pack again, I had to get a wife immediately and by any means. I was shocked when I saw that it was the same woman from an hour ago. "You could have killed my sister," she said with gritted teeth, "If I'd known it was you I never would have signed the certificate!" 'Show her who you are!' Rio, my wolf urged as I could feel anger welling up inside of me, 'No one has ever slapped you before, Lucian!' "Madam, it isn't his fault!" my driver chipped in "Your sister had run into the car herself. I wasn't even speeding." She turned to him sharply, "You could have helped but he ordered you to drive and leave her to die! How dare him!" "Hazel." I called and she turned to me abruptly. I read her mind like an open book. She was wondering how I knew her name. "I have paid for your sister's medical bills," I spoke under the rage of Rio, "That should make up for the mistake I made." She chuckled and said, "That is not the only mistake you've made. Why did you choose to marry me?" I slipped my hands into my pocket and stared at the woman before me. Her hazel orbs blazed brighter with every word she spoke in anger. "Mistake?" I repeated with a confused expression. "Of course not." "Why did you marry me then? It is clear we do not belong together. I am unattractive and-" "You look perfectly okay to me," I cut her off and spun around, "Get in the car." "I can't-" "Your sister already placed your belongings inside the car." I answered, having read her mind and said, "I won't drink your blood either. I'm not a vampire." She stood there, rooted to the spot with her mouth agape in surprise. Time was running and I didn't want to waste anymore time. So I walked over to her and picked her up. Her punch did nothing and I marvelled at how weak humans are. I placed her into the car and shut the door with a thud. Shortly after, we left the hospital. I tried to ignore her words but I couldn't. 'Get her to shut her mouth!' Rio raged inside of me, 'She should be proud that someone as powerful as you married her!' "You're spending the rest of your life with me," I mumbled under my breath, "Start getting used to that instead of complaining." I saw her grit her teeth and then turn the other way. Are humans this feisty and talkative? I didn't even want to read her mind for fear of what she might be thinking. The last thing I wanted was to lose my temper. I have a very bad one and my wife seated beside me seems to know where my buttons are. I rested my head and shut my eyes. The next day, I would take her to my father and finally have my dream come true. There's no way they'd sense that she isn't truly my mate, is there? I doubt and hope not, because that would not only keep me away from my pack but it would also attract more punishment. Suddenly, I heard a distinct noise from miles away. I shut my eyes open abruptly and tried to pick up the scent but it was difficult. I instantly became alert and my body naturally exuded a deadly chill making my driver and my wife glance at me. "Axel," "Yes, Lycan." the driver answered. "There's something coming towards us, can you feel it?" "No, sir." Yeah, right. Axel is just an ordinary werewolf, there's no way he'd get what I'm getting. I shut my eyes and tried to work around the energy. I could feel Hazel's stare on me. Suddenly, the noise stopped. I shut my eyes open and turned sharply to Hazel, scaring her with my red eyes however that was not the reason I turned. Immediately I grabbed Hazel's wrist and pulled her into my arms, switching our positions just in time when the accident occured. We were smashed by a more bigger car. The Maybach spurred uncontrollably and turned over twice before coming to a sudden stop, brutally damaged. Luckily, I'd acted quick and shielded Hazel and so no one was hurt except I. When we stepped out of the damaged car, Hazel stared at me like she had seen a ghost. I was bleeding profusely but I knew it would heal soon. 'What you trying to do?' asked Rio sarcastically, 'Tryna show off your strength?' I ignored him and walked over to the car that had smashed ours but there was no one in it. It seemed that the person had enough time to get away. It was an obvious attempt on my life and if I hadn't acted on time, Hazel would be dead by now and her crazy words would hunt me for the rest of my life. Axel had contacted the rest of our trope who arrived at the scene a while later. Hazel's eyes were still attached on me, and she was wondering how I managed to save her life. Her eyes- hazel in color- ran through the tropes that arrived. "Take her home," I ordered two of my men who wrapped a thick cloth over her and began to take her away. She looked back at me, her hazel eyes filled with concern and wonder. I felt something within me. A place that has been dead for a long time now. Ever since my mother died, no one showed care or concern towards me. It's been so many years and here was the woman I married whom I had no complete idea about, caring about me. 'She's just human.' said Rio, 'Get the f*cker who tried to kill you! I want to rip out his heart!'Hazel.I couldn't help but turn back as I walked away with the guards. With Lucian badly injured, and without a scratch on me, I felt guilty. I was safe and unwounded because he had switched our seats and protected me in his arms.I was too shaken up to pay attention to the road. All that was on my mind was the accident. The moment he turned to me with those blazing red eyes, grabbing my wrist and switching our positions. I thought he was going to drink my blood when he stared at me with those eerie eyes and pulled me from my wrist."Luna, we're here." I heard Axel say and I stepped out of the car, guarded by three other guards. I felt secure and cared for- something I haven't felt in years. As they led me into the stately mansion I couldn't help but gaze at the interior decorations. It was out of this world, amazing and breathtaking. One thing I didn't understand is people bowing down to me and referring to me as Luna. What's a Luna? Is it a name for a human? Or could it be a name f
Hazel.I watched as Lucian shut the door gently behind him. His piercing gaze immediately turned towards me and although I felt the instinct to draw back, I did not move an inch.He wouldn't hurt me. Besides, he had placed his life at stake and saved me from that accident. I owe him everything. Speaking about the accident, I now noticed that he was no longer in his previous outfit which was soaked with blood. His injuries also seemed to have healed up. Is that some kind of a power? My thoughts was cut short at his shameless gaze. I must admit, for a moment I loved the intense look he was casting on my body.Is this the reason Ylva and Ash had made me up this way? Even I felt that sexy feeling that I had not felt in years.I watched him cross over and dump his jacket, then he turned back to me.I was the first to speak for I could not hold my questions in any longer."What's Luna? What's this place and why is everyone calling me Luna?"He replied calmly, gently pulling out a cigarette
Hazel. It hurt but it was over before I knew it. He tattooed his initial on my neck. I thought the werewolf bond to be a beautiful thing. Imagine being bonded mind and soul to a person for the rest of your life?At that moment, there was a knock on the door and I stepped out to have my dinner. Ylva and Ash showed me around the mansion and introduced me to the other maids. We bumped into the men drinking in a cellar that was big enough to hold a party. Just how rich is Lucian, I wondered? "Oh, it's the Luna!" one of the men announced and I saw Lucian turn back, our eyes locked for a moment. The man who spoke beckoned to me and I walked over to them."I'm Henry, the Lycan's beta." he introduced and I smiled and shook his hand. The rest of the men introduced themselves but I took recognition of the beta, Henry and the gamma, Louis.I refused to drink and excused myself to the room, leaving the men staring at me like they wanted to eat me up.Henry turned to Lucian and said, "She's beau
Hazel.I stepped back in a bid to avoid his hug, however he stretched his arm and pulled me forcefully into his embrace. His nose nuzzled my neck as he growled again, "Mate."I struggled to get out of his grip but he is way too strong, my frail arm would crack if I continue to push against his hard chest. So I looked around for Lucian. What was happening? Did they already find out that I and Lucian were putting up a show? Why is this man calling me his mate? That can't be! I screamed in my head.Alpha Lucas came out of the crowd just then, his gaze menacing."Michael!" he called angrily and the man holding me turned back, his hand wrapped tightly around my wrist."What are you doing?"Michael chuckled, "She's my mate, dad."Alpha Lucas and the rest of the guest opened their lips in awe. Everyone knows the reason for this party, it is therefore surprising that another man has come to claim me as his mate."Are you sure of what you're saying?" Alpha Lucas gritted his teeth, "That's your
Hazel, He banged the door shut immediately and I turned to look at the three women behind me. I managed to stand on my wobbly legs. "Get the concoction, Alyson." the oldest of the women spoke and two of them left the room, leaving I and the woman who spoke. "Are you the Alpha's fated mate?" she asked me and I did not reply. She smiled gently, "It's a surprise. The goddess has not blessed a werewolf with a human mate in many years." "Can I meet this goddess?" I snapped, anger welling up inside of me, or maybe it was fear. She smiled again as she walked to me and took my hand, "You cannot meet her, dear. No one can." I stiffened, "But there has to be a way," my voice cracked, "A way to destroy this bond." "There is a way," she nodded as she unzipped my gown and watched it crumble to the ground, "However it is very difficult." I watched her grab a short dress. She handed it to me. "Please tell me! I'm sure it is not too difficult." I replied stubbornly as I got into the short d
Hazel.Clank! The plate I was holding slipped from my fingers and shattered on the tiles. A piece had pierced into my thigh as it broke into a thousand pieces but I didn't feel any pain. What was coming was worse."Hazel!" came the dreaded voice of my stepmother, "What have you done this time?!" I stood frozen to the spot as my body trembled. My lips parted and the words came out, "It..it was an accident, mother.""Accident?!" Anastasia appeared with her jet black hair dolled up all over her head. She rolled her blue orbs at me and said, "Sounds like you're taking out your frustration on the poor plates."I shook my head, "N-"Before the words could come out, a tight slap tore across my cheek. I held my face in pain and stared at my stepmother with tears in my eyes.It isn't the first time I'd be receiving a hit across my face, however each time I did the pain was intense and filled with hatred."You have no idea how much these wares cost, you ungrateful brat!" Mrs Byers, my stepmot
Hazel. The house was unusually quiet and so it gave the courage I needed to make quick soup for Kelly. Since I was made to do all of the work in the house, Mrs Byers had long dismissed our maids and housekeepers. The major reason was because she was running out of funds. She couldn't keep paying for the upkeep of the house and of course, she had me- their jackal and slave. I added the ingredients into the boiling water and increased the fire to get it done immediately. I did not want to think of what my fate would be should I be caught or even what would happen when the broken door is discovered. My hands trembled as I picked up the pot and poured out the hot soup into a bowl. I felt the pot slipping away from my fingers however when I remembered the consequence, I gripped it tight and set it into the sink, burning my fingers in the process. I stood for a while trying to get a grip of myself. I felt empty and faint since I have had nothing to eat for two days now. I stared at my
Hazel. An expression like shock appeared on their faces. It was the first time I refused and snapped at them. Anastasia was going red with anger and would have gotten up to hit me if her mother did not stop her.Instead, Mrs Byers turned to me and calmly said, "Mrs Parker few houses away needs a maid," she added, "I will withdraw my sponsorship of your sister and end her schooling at once! She will be better off as a maid at Mrs Parker's while you continue to keep this house."I pursed my lips, "Kelly is too young to do such a job, Mrs Byers."She shrugged, "If she wants to go to school she has to earn the money! She's aware her parents are dead and she should be grateful I took it upon myself to see her through college.""..." I stared blankly with tears streaming down my face. Ana smiled satisfactory seeing me in pain. She said, "There's no need to cry, your husband to be is stinkingly rich! You won't believe it if I told you he wired the forty million dollars as quick as lightening
