At the End

Lucian.

I'd gathered Louis and the rest of my pack. We were ready to leave in search of Hazel. As we were about to leave, Cassie stopped me.

"Our marriage is tomorrow, Lucian. How could you leave just like that?!"

I shook her grip off of me, "Hazel is more important to me than any damn marriage, Cassie."

"But you need this marriage in order to form an alliance with my father. Do you really think you could defeat Logan and his troupes with your little army?"

"Don't worry about me," I replied, "Forget about any dreams of being married to me, Cassie."

With that I turned and left with my army following behind me. We shifted and made it quickly through the woods, when I picked up a familiar scent.

"Blood," Rio mumbled, "Human blood."

I hoped to God it wasn't Hazel's. We had just crossed the borders and were heading deeper into where I thought Logan would be when we were suddenly attacked.

I was less surprise when I found the attackers led by my very own brother, Michael.
