Chapter 50

Elaine

My hands clenched into fists, and I could feel the heat rising in my face. My breath came in short, sharp bursts as I struggled to composure as I continued talking to Tristan.

"Are you kidding? I hate them! So, call someone to pick up your garbage, or else..."

"Else what?" he challenged

"Else I’ll kill you, got that?!" I yelled, my voice shaking with fury. I slammed down the phone, the loud bang echoing in my ears. My body trembled with anger, my hands shaking as I massaged my temples, trying to calm down. My head throbbed in pain. How did I tolerate being married to this jerk for three years?

The thought of all those wasted years made my stomach churn, and I felt a wave of nausea. This wolf was the worst. Tristan was the worst thing that ever happened to me.

I leaned back in my chair, realizing my anger had drained some of my energy. That was when I noticed a single stem of deep pink rose sitting quietly on my desk. Attached to it was a small white card that read:

There's definitely more about Elaine but I wonder what. Elaine shouldn't refer to Megan as ex best friend. She was never a friend to begin with.
