I was startled for a second by her sudden touch. It seemed like she had read my mind. I hated to admit it, but I felt jealous of his wife for having such a devoted husband. My forgotten memories led me to ask if Tristan had treated me in a similar way before.

Nah, I guess not. Tristan was a jerk, and Liz’s testimony and his current actions proved that. Perhaps if he had, this divorce would never have happened or even been considered in the first place.

I mean, who in the right mind would divorce a husband who his wife well?
