I sat quietly in the boardroom, struggling to keep my composure. The silence was heavy, but my thoughts were louder, racing nonstop. I’d been here for what felt like an eternity, just waiting. Today, I finally realized that if I wanted to win Elaine back, I needed to make a real effort, the right way. As much as I hated to admit it, I hadn’t done enough to understand Elaine’s feelings. I was completely clueless about the kind of she-wolf she was and it was time to change that.

I called an unexpected meeting with every household helper in the Alpha Mansion. I gathered everyone who had served Elaine, anyone who knew her or spent time with her while she lived in the pack.

A knock on the door startled me, pulling me out of my thoughts. I cleared my throat, trying to hide my nervousness.

“Come in,” I said, keeping my voice steady.

The door opened slowly, and the head omega stepped inside, bowing respectfully.

“Good day, Alpha. They are all here now,” she said.
