Damien's voice boomed with Alpha authority as he grabbed Sarah's arm mid-swing. The command vibrated through the air, heavy with power.

"You're at a gravesite," he hissed at her. "Show some respect."

Sarah flinched at his tone but didn't lower her gaze in submission.

Damien turned to Ethan, his voice softening slightly. "Ethan, I didn't come here to fight with you. I must take Emily's ashes." His expression held a hint of pleading. "We were mates for years. I want to find a proper temple to honor her as compensation for all the good she did for me over the years."

His words rang hollow to me. Too little, too late.

"That won't be necessary," Ethan said coldly, crossing his arms over his chest. His stance was protective, positioning himself between my grave and Damien.

"Damien, for the sake of our brotherhood, take Sarah and leave immediately, or I'll notify the Pack Council." His voice hardened further. "This is desecration of a sacred site. You know the laws."
