Dawn got up to begin her morning toilette. She disentangled her body from Davids' and walked into the bathroom, rolling her hair into a lazy updo as she stripped down, chancing a quick glance at herself before stepping into the shower and turning the water on high so it poured over her head in steamy streamlets.
As the water cascaded down her hair and soaked into her skin, she closed her eyes, leaning against the cool tiles as she felt the dull pain between her thighs ease itself.
After twenty-four years of waiting, she'd finally lost it.
She had given her innocence to the man she loved without regret and he took it, making her feel like a woman — desired, wanted, and loved — she should've been happy, she should've been feeling giddy and gibberish like a newborn baby but she wasn't.
David had been with so many women that at some point, he lost count of it. He was well sort after and the thought of him doing the same things he did to her to other women made her heart retch with jealousy.
Was he even satisfied?
She had asked herself that question over and over again, yet there was no certain answer to it and she supposed that she should have devoted a bit more of her mental energy into pleasuring him than the former being the latter but the truth was, she couldn't keep her mind straight, not with the things he was doing to her, not with the things his tongue was doing to her.
She shook her head softly, aware of how silly and spoilt she sounded.
For the past hours, her paranoia had gotten the best of her and maybe it was because she had always been insecure about herself but then again, David loved her, he said it, he showed it. She needed to have more faith in him. She needed to stop worrying and just—
The shower curtain suddenly ripped back, causing her to turn around with a silent yelp of surprise.
"Jesus David, do you want to give me a heart attack?" She snapped, instinctively raising her hand to cover her chest.
"It's been almost fifteen minutes since you stepped into the shower" David noted, his concerned eyes flashing down her body. "I was starting to worry"
"Well," he started to undo his clothes and she blinked at him with surprise.
"What are you doing?"
"I want to shower too" he slipped off his boxer briefs and tossed it on the floor. "Mind if I join you?"
"Yes I do mind, as a matter of fact, I mind a lot" she closed the shower curtains, knowing if he stepped in, they were going to be doing more than just showering.
David sighed and pulled the curtain back open. "If you don't let me shower with you, we're going to be late for our flight back home"
She looked up at him. His lips curved into a teasing smile. She rolled her eyes. "Fine," she said "but we're just going shower. Nothing more"
He stepped in. "Only if you want otherwise"
"Don't flatter yourself " she narrowed her eyes, stepping back to allow the shower spray him with droplets that did nothing but give prominence to his well-organized and worked-out body.
She rested herself on the wall and watched the water drip down his hair. It glistened off his arms and trickled down his chest, tracing slow beads to his abdomen and his striking v line and she had tried not to follow the droplets that traveled down but she found her eyes soaring lower and lower and —
David splashed light drops of water on her face. "Eyes up where I can see them" he teased.
"I wasn't looking" she defended, wiping her face and glaring at him.
David moved closer, his lean frame standing in front of her and as their naked wet bodies touched, it tickled her nipples, hardening them in an instant. David smirked.
"For someone who just wants to shower, your hormones are all over the place"
She moved back, covering her breasts with her palms and fighting back the urge to bite her lip. "They are not"
He tilted his head to the side, studied her for a few seconds, and then laughed softly. "I beg to differ"
"I said I'm not David, stop being such a cocky bastard"
"Cocky, you say?"
He closed the distance between them, resting one hand against the wall beside her head. "Then you don't mind if I—" his eyes motioned to her thighs and she automatically felt hot all over.
"No!" She bellowed, her voice more breath than sound.
David pulled her hands away from her chest and pressed his body on hers. "You're so beautiful when you try to resist me" his voice was low and hoarse, already clothing with heat. If she didn't stop him now, she was going to be done for, but rather than pushing him away, she found herself swaying forward.
Dawn swallowed hard and shook her head, desperate for his answer.
"I thought I could drown in your eyes" his hands glided over her water slick body, effectively anchoring her to him. "I thought I could drown in you" his hands moved. "And what better way to drown in you than taking you right here in the shower" he parted her legs.
"If you want me to stop, tell me now" he whispered, brushing his mouth against her cheeks. "Or now..." He traced the line of her cheekbone. "Or now..." His lips were against hers, bringing his body closer so she felt his erection press against the apex of her thighs.
She gave in.
"God! I hate you David" she grabbed the back of his head, yanked him forward, and kissed him.
David chuckled against her lips. "I love you too my little morning mist"
After a delayed flight, they finally arrived in the city of New York.
Dawn sagged against the car seat, moving to rest her head on David's shoulders.
"We've been driving for hours" she dragged, snuggling closer to his warmth.
"We'll be there soon okay" he assured, softly running his hand through her neatly wrapped hair.
"Where are you taking me?" She asked tiredly.
"You'll see" he smiled simply, looking out the tinted glass window as the car pulled into a newly refurbished house.
Dawn poked her head up at the sound of tires screeching. She stared at the building "David...?" She called, unable to take her eyes off the beautifully sculptured landscape.
"We're here" he announced, stepping out before her.
When Dawn walked out, she was left stupefied "David...what's this?" She asked again, her eyes rotating 360 degrees.
"It's our home"
"Yes baby, I figured you wouldn't want to live in my self condo so I made things happen and here you have it"
It was just like she'd imagined; two stories high with Radiant cream colors crossing over the dappled brown ones.
She moved around, trying not to trip on her toes as her eyes focused on the amazing features. It was like a dream house, she couldn't believe it.
David ushered her into the house.
It was welcoming from the open door to the wide hallway. The interiors were classy and a bit old-fashioned. Italian marble floors ran across the concrete ground and the walls were the greens of summer gardens meeting a bold white baseboard.
David led her up the ornate mahogany stairs with rails carved and polished so that it shined. It had six rooms including the kitchen and storage room. The walls had white paintings crossed over horizontal lines of embroiled red petal drawings. The couches were pure leather and not to mention the kitchen.
Dawn placed her hand over her mouth. Crying would've been an inappropriate thing to do but she didn't mind letting a few teardrops fall. This was her fairytale dream come true.
"Hope you like it, had to make lots of phone calls to get it done," David said, chuckling nervously.
"Are you kidding me? I love it, David I love every bit of it. How did you know?"
"I read your diary once"
They were definitely going to address that later.
"C'mon I wanna show you something"
He pulled her hands along and led her to the garage and what she saw made her take a few hasty steps backward.
"Remember that time on our first date, you couldn't take your eyes off the car we saw at the driveway and you ranted about how you'd love to own one? well, let's just say this is a little wedding present" he flaunted the keys to a new Mercedes Benz GLE coupe full option.
It was hers, she couldn't believe it. It was overwhelming, so overwhelming that she hadn't realized she was crying until her tears touched her dress.
"Oh, no baby don't cry" he pulled her into his warmth and softly wiped off her tears with his thumb.
"This is all too much i... I can't-" she choked, bowing her head and breaking into more sobs.
"Hey, look at me" he raised her chin, looking into those soggy blue eyes, "I promised to give you the world Dawn, this is me keeping my promise to you"
"I love you so much, David" she pulled him into a hug.
He chuckled. "More than the universe l'amour. More than the universe..."
Six months later... The neon reflecting bar Thumped with hundreds of conversations told in loud voices, all of them competing with the rock music that dominated the smoky atmosphere. It was a Friday night and like every other Friday in the city of New York, the clubs were packed with people dancing and shimmying to infectious bass music. Circling his perfectly shaped fingertip around the rim of his glass, David stifled his sigh, thinking of better ways to have spent a work-free night rather than inhaling the nauseating blend of sweat and alcohol whilst watching sweaty bodies gyrate and contort on stage like birds high on crack. He should be home. He wanted to go home, to his safe place inside Dawn. He missed her te
Chapter six After taking a train to the other side of town and stopping at her regular street vendor, Dawn sipped her cup of latte as she walked the two blocks to work. When she arrived at her desk, she took out her phone, connected it to her computer, and dove straight into answering a few emails. Dawn worked at the consultation department in one of the rookie companies in Newburg and her position as a canvasser was certainly not her dream job but it was worth the while. You'd think that marrying a millionaire would make her a sturdy housewife but she loved to work and sitting home all day made her feel mo
Dawn pressed her lips together and shut her eyes, taking a deep breath before shaking her head and strolling over to the quencher counter where she picked up a glass and looked around.Although it was not customary for invitations to request special attire, people dressed ostentatiously; women in evening gowns and men in dinner jackets. She certainly didn't belong in a place like this and though she would've much rather preferred spending the night laying on her bed and reading a book, David was very persistent and knew just how to get what he wanted. As she poured herself a glass of freshly squeezed juice, the stage lights flicked on, revealing an elegantly dressed man who walked up to the microphone and flashed a smile with jacket was thrown roguishly over his shoulder, as if he were posing for one of his television ads.It didn't take up to a few minutes for the crowd to coo amusedly and turn all attention to him."Hello everyone" he greete

Dawn had stayed locked up inside the guest room, pretending to be asleep while David scurried around, trying to get ready for work. When she was certain that he'd finally left the house, she got out of bed and tidied herself before heading to work.It was probably for the best, If she didn't see him then she wouldn't be reminded of the things he'd said but now at work, all she could think about was him.She picked up her phone and stared at his caller ID, eager to press the call button but at the same time, not wanting to seem easy.Sighing, she locked her phone and set it aside, leaning to rest her head on her desk and letting out a dry sob."If you miss him that much you could just call, you know" Becky suggested, watching her friend in amusement."It's not that easy" she mumbled, sighing into her arm. "I can't just call him, he'll think I'm an easy fix""And this is why I don't do commitments" she sighed dramatically."I just
A FEW WEEKS LATER...Dawn stared at herself in the mirror, a light blush on her face as she analyzed the bright red burns evident on her neckline.Last night was amazing...Her hand instinctively brushed against her slightly swollen lip, allowing the image of their heated foreplay replay itself in her head — his kisses, whispers of sweet nothings, his teeth melting into her skin, tongue over her nipple, finger inside her deep sex.It was tremendous, she thought, utterly fantastic and beyond wonderful to have a husband who was so mad for her. They didn't usually see one another during the day for he had his work and she had hers, but at night, he pounced on her like a horny lion possessed with the need to release its pent-up desires. His energy seemed endless — always trying new things, positioning her in new ways, teasing and tormenting until she was screaming and begging, never sure whether it was for him to stop or keep go
Dawn sat on her chair, one hand propping up her chin and the other absentmindedly tapping a pencil on the dusty board desk. You'd think with how much revenue they charge they'd afford more janitors or perhaps, a working air conditioner. She sighed, turning to glance at Mike, the leader of the editors' team who sat on her right, leaning back into his seat whilst seemingly trying to count the number of tiles on the ceiling. The last fifteen minutes ride had been a silent nightmare. They'd both stayed mute, unwilling to talk as they wrestled with their inner thoughts of what-ifs.When they reached home, Dawn got out of the car as soon as it stopped and quickly walked into the house without waiting or checking to see if he'd followed behind but he did and before she could climb the stairs, he grabbed her hand to stop her. "Dawn, honey, I'm sorry okay. I shouldn't have let her get that close" he stated, trying to pull her close but Dawn freed herself and walked ahead of him to their bedroom. His words might have been sincere and genuine but she didn't care, at least not now. DAVID COUGHED, reaching for the napkin and slapping it over his mouth as his eyes gaped unbelievably at the photo that had taken about three more blinks to fully register. He zoomed him and felt his mouth water. It wasn't her large breasts or spicy red nipples that had excited him per se (he had seen them so many times that he memorized every hit and hatter ) it was the look on her face — a look he had never seen before. It thrilled him, more so that his throat tightened and he coughed again, earning a confused look from his parents."Are you alright David?" Amanda asked, and he nodded quickly, reaching to drink from his glass of water."What's the meaning of this?" He typed back a quick response but in return, received another photo, and the mere thought of what her fingers might have been doing between her thighs made his member twitch excitedly. He released an unholy grunt and typed quickly. Hell, she needed to be taught a lesson.
A MONTH LATER..."You son of a Gun!" Tanner's voice reverberated through the Bluetooth earpiece, forcing a flinch out of David as he drove in through the iron gates."Can you fucking stop yelling, my ears still hurt" he groaned, pulling into the garage and turning off the ignition. "Why does it matter to you who your assistant dates, you clearly said you weren't into her""But we had sex!""You have sex all the time," he said rather pointedly, narrowly rolling his eyes as he opened his trunk to retrieve his suitcase. "Look, if it bothers you so much that she went out with another guy, stop being a big pussy and do something about it.""It doesn't bother me," Tanner snapped half-heartedly."So why the fuck are we having this conversation then?" David drawled back, locking his car and making his way to the entrance of the house."Nothing. I don't know. Fuck man. I think I just need to eat her out again. Yes, that
Dawn awoke suddenly, her brain flat in battery as the exertions of last night took a heavy toll on her.Being caught in a marathon of erratic problem-solving, she had gotten little to no sleep and her phone wasn't any help either as it went on with ringing relentlessly. She groaned in distress, turning away from the egg yolk sun and shooting her hands out on the table to grab her phone. Had it been a call from work or Becky, she would've ignored it, however, it was Tanner's name that flashed on the screen and he seldom called her except on rare important cases."Hello?" She spoke drowsily into the phone but there was no reply and after a passing second, she pulled the phone away from her ears to double-check the ID."Tanner, are you there?" She asked again, picking up rapid breaths from the environment."Turn on the news Dawn" he finally spoke, his voice heavy and grim. It made her crease her brows in worry."Did anything happen?
Dawn disentangled herself fromJacob as quickly as she could. "David-d I can-n explain." she stuttered, her words already failing her as she caught sight of the burning fury in his eyes."What the fuck is going on Dawn?!" he lashed, the vein in his forehead pulsating as his anger grew beyond measure."Please let's go." she begged as a few people nearby stood and began to stare, none daring to intervene."What's going on here?" Jacob jumped in, his masculine impulse making him straighten his shoulders. "Dawn, do you know this guy?""This guy?" David repeated, curling his hand into a ball as he finally looked up the idiot who had his filthy hands all over his wife."Look, I don't know who the hell you are but you have no right to waltz in here and harass her like you own the place.""Fucking stay out of this." he gruffed and turned his attention back to Dawn. "We're leaving" he reached for her but Jacob stepped partially in fr
David was troubled. The time clocked 8:25 yet, there was no sign of Dawn and that bothered him.His fingers drummed the gold-clothed table, agitation in his every move as he bit on his bottom lip occasionally. The last time this had happened it didn't end so well and frankly, he didn't know what he'd do if she didn't come home or at least take his damn calls."You need to relax man" Tanner, who'd been watching him for quite some time advised, clamping a hand over his shoulders to reel him out of his thoughts."How can I?" He sighed."You worry too much, she's probably out with her best friend"He blew out a frustrated whoosh of air. "I doubt""Come on David, I brought you out here to have a good time with me and not think about your wife like she's some lost princess""You don't understand Tanner" he just couldn't help it. He just couldn't think straight. He needed to see her and at least know she
The bright sun seeping throughthe window had woken Dawn up the next morning. Her eyes fluttered lightly, trying to adjust her momentarily blurred vision as she attempted to move away from the bed only to realize that she had fallen asleep on David's naked chest.Looking down, she groaned, mentally cursing at herself for letting him have his way with her. She made a motion to roll off him, but his warm arm snaked around her back and kept her in place. "Are you trying to leave me again?" He asked, his hands rounding her tighter.Dawn ignored his question and made another attempt to get off him but he held her firm, enjoying her struggle as it only added to the friction in which her breast rubbed against his chest."David let go" she murmured, scrambling on his chest.David stifled his chuckle. "Thought you'd never talk to me""Wish I didn't have to" she muttered, narrowing her eyes to the side as she conti
