Chapter 4

Caden gently opened the results and he glanced at them and he looked at me with a sad look on his face.

“What is it? What does it say?” I asked as I began to panic. My body began to shiver and I had goosebumps all over my hands. “Cad…Caden, What's going on with you?” I stammered looking at Caden's sad face.

“Ruby I know you're not gonna like this but, you're gonna want to sit down for this one” Caden said in a deep gentle calm voice and he put his hands on my shoulders and pressed me to sit down on the chair nearby.

“How are you so calm? What do the results say?” Before I could ask any more questions Caden put his hand over my mouth.

“You're carrying my child Ruby” Caden said in a calm tone, his hands sweaty as he moved closer to me.

I sat there in shock and short of words, what was going to happen now how would Jasper react if he found out I was pregnant for his stepbrother?

I looked up at Caden still in shock as shivers went down my spine “So what are we gonna do now?”

“Come on let's go” Caden gently took my hand and we went outside the hospital.

All of a sudden I got a weird feeling that we were being watched and I heard the sound of cameras clicking.

“Caden I think someone is watching us, I have a bad gut feeling,” I said anxiously Caden held my hand even tighter.

“It's okay little dove, I'm here to protect you and no harm will come to you or my child” Caden's voice is deep but very gentle.

I felt my heart melt when she said that to me I felt more safe with him. We got to the car and then he drove us back to the mansion.

Caden gently helped me to go upstairs to my room. I sat down on my bed and looked up to Caden

“Little dove I want us to keep the baby, but at the same time if Jasper finds out that you're not pregnant for him he's going to kill the both of us” Caden said in a focused and calm tone, his voice very deep.

I softly laid my hand on his cheek “Caden I will try my best to keep this just between us, but I'm not sure if I can do this for a long time”

“Little dove, just give me enough time to get my finances done and I promise I will come and take you away from this prison cell,” Caden said as he looked at me with a gentle smile on his face.

He leaned forward and gently pressed a kiss on my forehead then he went down and kissed my stomach.

“Don't worry my baby boy or girl Daddy will protect you too,” Caden said in a soft tone and he pulled away and then he left my room.

I knew this was wrong but something about that man makes me go crazy. The only thing I could think about was how I was going to hide my pregnancy away from Jasper now.

Some minutes later I got a knock on my door “Mrs Ruby! Mr Jasper wishes to see you in his room.” The maid at the door said before leaving.

I felt shivers run down my spine “What does he want now?” I asked myself as I got up from the bed and gently and went to Jasper's room. I gently knocked on the door.

“Come in!” A light feminine voice said from inside the room I slowly opened the door and went in not prepared for what I was going to see next.

Jasper and Tiffany sitting on the bed “Come closer, Ruby!” Jasper said in a deep voice.

I saw Tiffany staring at me with a smirk on her face, I tried to avoid eye contact with her then she put her hand over Jasper's shoulder.

“Ruby the first time you disrespected Tiffany I pardoned you now sending her death threats is where you're crossing the line you even sent her bad text messages about me Ruby how could you?” Jasper asked in a deep gentle voice. I saw the anger in his eyes.

“Bu.. but.. What do you mean? I never sent any text messages to Tiffany before.” I said my body began to tremble in fear as I tried to defend myself.

“Oh Jasper I told you she was going to lie to you, I have been nothing but nice to this girl and this is how she repays me” Tiffany said as she began to shed fake tears in front. of Jasper.

That lying bitch she always wants to make me look bad in front of Jasper and Jasper keeps falling for her silly tricks.

Jasper angrily shoved a phone in my front showing the text messages between Tiffany and me.

I took the phone and went through the messages and it really looked so real and it was from my real phone number.

“But how? Where? I never sent any of these Jasper, all these chats are all fake I never sent any of this” my voice began to tremble as I saw Jasper stand to his feet

“Look Ruby I don't want to get angry, just tell me the truth and I might even make your punishment less difficult for you” Jasper said his voice filled with anger as he spoke to me.

Fear filled me when he stood up and spoke to me that way I forgot that I have a restaurant to save and I can't leave my mother to handle it on her own I began to think my decision and I wanted to take the blame.

Tiffany also got up and began to hug Jasper's hand “Calm down Jasper let me talk to her woman to woman.” She said in an innocent voice while rubbing Jasper's arm.

Jasper sat back down on the bed and I was left to face this witch in disguise.

“So are you trying to say I'm a lair Ruby? What did I ever do to you for me to get treated this way all the evidence shows that you actually hate me and for what?” she acted so innocently I just wish I could expose her for the real devil she is.

“I'm not calling you a lair Tiffany I just don't remember when I sent you those text messages” I replied to her as I started to feel dizzy and nauseous.

Tiffany came closer and closer to my face as my vision began to blur and then all of a sudden I vomited all over her face I didn't really feel bad because I could not control how I felt and she got what she deserved.

“Ahhh you disgusting little bitch after i was trying to be nice to you” she screamed as she then slapped he across the face.

Jasper got up and held me my my hand very aggressively while Tiffany ran into the bathroom to get cleaned up.

“WHY? JUST WHY?” Jasper yelled at me his voice very deep while aggressively swinging my hand

I began to tremble with fear I didn't know what to say tears started rolling down from my eyes as Jasper continued to yell at me.

“WHY? TELL ME WHY YOU DID THAT TO TIFFANY, RUBY? Jasper yelled even more that I could feel the ground shake below me

I couldn't take it any more and the words just came out of nowhere “BECAUSE I'M PREGNANT!"
