I hold my head high and march out of the secluded corner with a renewed sense of confidence.
No one, not even my parents, will make me cower in a corner.
If they want a fight, I’ll give them a fight. I hope they are ready for it, though.
I tighten my hand around David’s muscular arm and pull him along with me. My other friends chuckle and follow right behind me.
As we get to the center of the room, my parents, along with another middle-aged couple and a girl about my age, stop right in front of us. A smirk dances across my face as I hardened myself and pull out my infamous snarky personality out, which I like to call my shield.
With a bubble to my voice, I chime, “Hello, everyone. I hope you are having a good time at the event.”
Years of lectures and training run through my head. I’m going to use everything that I know against them.
My moth
Alex’s soft, luscious lips mold with mine as his cologne fills the air and overpowers my senses. Everything around us slowly drifts away. It is only the two of us in our little world. I snake my hands around his back as hunger ignites within me. I eagerly capture his moan with my mouth and devour it, just like I’m going to devour him. I also seize the opportunity to thrust my tongue into his dark cavern, trying to find every little nook and cranny. However, before I can feist on his alluring taste, he is yanked away from me, and the reality of the situation comes slamming back against me. We are in a monumental event with his parents standing and watching us. These are the same parents who think they can force my baby to do something he doesn’t want to do. They don’t seem to know him too well. His father’s hand is still holding the collar of Alex’s expensive suit as he hisses, “Alex! Wh
“OMG! Alex, that was epic!” Chance laughs beside me as we walk into my apartment. “The look on their faces was priceless. I wish I could see what they were like when they got home or out of the venue. I’m sure your parents nearly popped their top.” I chuckle and walk towards the kitchen. “I’m sure I’ll find out soon. I don’t think my parents are going to give up that easy. I guess I’m just going to sit back and wait for the impeding explosion.” As I walk into the kitchen, I call out over my shoulder, “Who wants some beer?” A round of cheers follows behind me. From the living room, Paul asks, “Since when have you started to have beer in your refrigerator? You usually only have water or tea.” I open the fridge and look inside. “Since I’m having to deal with this bet and haven’t been able to go have fun. I have to relax myself somehow. Plus, I need something to help me make m
I snuggle into the warmth, and I don’t want to wake up yet. A pair of muscular arms wrap around me as David’s husky voice asks, “Are you awake, love?” I refuse to open my eyes as I nod my head. “Yeah, but I was hoping to enjoy this a bit longer.” A soft chuckle rumbles around in his chest and slips from his mouth. “I will not say anything but only remind you that your friends are coming over and studying here today. I’m not sure exactly what time you had agreed upon, but it is getting a little late.” Wait. What? I don’t look at the clock as I nearly catapult out of the bed and run towards the bathroom completely naked. However, it is more of a slight hobble as my body still aches from our passionate session last night. I stop momentarily in front of the sink and take a second to admire David’s artwork all over my body, except for my neck and any other place that is easily visible.
I meet his questioning look with a smirk. If he is trying to keep our relationship a secret from his friends, he is doing a very poor job at it. Luckily, for him, his friends seem to be rather dense. On the other hand, my friends are rather smart and have already figured it out. However, I made them promise not to let Alex know. These secrets are really driving me crazy, but it is all worth it when I look at Alex’s cute face. How can someone be so cute?Flustered, Alex quickly turns his focus back to his books, but it is already too late. Both Kai and Brandon have seen him and are silently laughing next to me.As we turn back toward the TV and the paused video game, I whisper, “Guys, don’t do that. Can’t you see Alex is on the verge of running. If you push him too much, he will run away from me. I don’t want that.”Brandon, while still silen
I glance across the pond at the couples along the other side of the shore. The guys are snuggling up close to their girl, while the girls smile and nestle into their boyfriend’s side. Can I ever have something like that?David’s smirk and wink from last night comes rushing back to me as my heartbeat quickens and my stomach flutters. The playfulness in his eyes had me moaning and begging for more after everyone left.I lick my lips as my body remembers the feel of him pressed against me and his hungry lips devouring every part of me.I need to stop thinking about him. I shift on the ground as I scan along the shore. However, my mind keeps coming back to the same question. Can I ever have something like that? The scorching sun beats down upon me as I mull over the question and the other aspect of it which I’m avoiding. Does the answer mean I would have a girl by my
I finish putting all my things back into my bag and check my watch. Shit. It is late.I fish my phone out of my pocket to call Alex and grumble under my breath. It is dead.Shit. This is bad.Unfortunately, I’m the only one here because I was trying to get ahead in my labs so I could spend the next few days with Alex alone in his apartment before the bet is over. I want to make sure he is addicted to me before those nasty girls throw themselves at him again.I shove my phone back into my pocket and rush out the door.My heart pounds as I run through the hallways and out of the building. The only thing running through my mind now is whether Alex even knows I’m not there yet. However, my heart sinks when I reach the parking lot and spot a flat tire on my motorcycle.Shit. This isn’t my night. No phone and no way to get anyo
I pace back and forth beside my bed.I had tried to go to sleep earlier, but I couldn’t stop worrying about David. He always calls and tells me when he is going to be late.I run my hand through my hair and sigh.Did Kai tell him about the girl earlier? Is David mad at me? What am I going to do to make him come back to me?I grab the clock off the nightstand.Shit. It is late. Where is he?I suddenly stop when I hear a faint noise. Is he home?I slam the clock back down on the nightstand and swirl around. I dash towards the door, but in my haste, I slam my toe against the corner of the bed.“OWWWWW!!!!!”I fall onto the bed as tears well up in my eyes. I cradle my foot in my hands as I rock back and forth.Damn it. I think I broke my toe.As I look at my red toe, which is already ch
I glance beside me at Alex as he hobbles his way across the parking lot to the medical building.A faint smile dances along my face as I tighten my grip around both book bags slung over my shoulder. He takes a few more steps before he grunts and whips his head around towards me. His eyes narrow while he shoots daggers at me. “I told you I can manage crutches and my bag. I’m not completely helpless, you know.”I flash him a cheesy smile. “I know what you said, but I want to make sure you do nothing else to hurt yourself. You are lucky you didn’t break more bones. You…”He stops suddenly and, while teetering on one foot, he glares at me. “I broke my toe and cracked a few other bones. It freaking hurts like hell even with the pain medicine. This stupid boot is itchy and uncomfortable, but it isn’t stopping me from getting to my classes.&nb
