Leslie still maintained her impeccably gracious signature smile, "I'll go inside and see if there are any red carnations left, please wait a moment." As she finished, she turned and headed for a small door behind her, a room dedicated to stock. The job that should have been Maleah's responsibility was now Leslie's, and I was starting to regret having too much fun that day again. The man stood still and didn't move, he watched Leslie walk through the small door and then turned his head again, seemingly observing how many types of flowers there were in the shop. A short while later Leslie walked out the door and she said to the Svengali man, "I'm sorry, but the red carnations are out of stock and I'll have to call for them to be delivered, but if you need them urgently, I might have to trouble you with another florist..."
