I am tired

Emma's POV

That night, after we returned home, Draven decided to stay and I did not stop him. To be honest, I just couldn't make myself ask him to leave. I was strangely craving his presence, I don't know why.

I was on the balcony, looking at the vast night sky and pondering to myself. Draven joined me and stood next to me, “Hi.”

“Hey.” I smiled.

He passed me the robe and said, “It is cold.”

He was right, it was indeed freezing and my frail pyjama fabrics weren't helping me much either. I accepted the robe from him and put it on.

Draven noticed that I was deeply in thought about something. He asked, “What are you thinking about?”

At first, I wanted to dismiss it as nothing significant but I ended up telling him the truth, “It's the kids. I feel like they are growing up too fast.”

“Too fast? How?”

“I don't know.” I said honestly, “It was just yesterday I feel like they were born and tomorrow they are starting school.”

Draven was really empathetic, he said, “It happens but they are not
