Ethel

What a sight to see.

Before me sat five different souls with five different emotions. One sat with a jolly look, one with a grumpy face, one with her head loaded with questions, one with pain and the last one, her emotions were hard to express.

What has happened to my sister's in the past few days? Living with mortals has changed them entirely. I've never seen them like this before. Pity to the birds we roasted today, they weren't even touched!

"Ok that's it! You girls better open up about what happened! I'm pissed seeing that look on your faces!" More than pissed actually.

They glanced at each other with a sigh.

"Well, you want me to start?" Catty pulled on a big grin. Only yesterday we had an argument about- . Leave it. I don't want to even start it again.

"Stay out Catty! I want the rest of them to speak first."

Erica looked calm as well. I guess I'll skip her too.

CattyDay 26Ever since the moment we got back to the institute, all I could think was of my last conversation I had with Ethel. He was furious. But luckily, I calmed him down.Whatever Ethel said made sense to me. But for a slight moment, I started picturing my previous day with Henry. We were together; I happily volunteered to help him with his punishment which I don't regret at all. The whole time we smiled looking at each other's mess, and at the end he even got me blood to drink. How sweet is that?I thought the topic would rise when we gathered at the forest. But luckily, Erica almost forgot to mention it. And so did I. No one asked me or Erica about how our day passed by. If only they did, I could've told them about everything. My chest aches. Since the sun started to rise, there was this awful pain in my chest. It's like someone was knocking from the inside. I drank a glass full of water and the pain sort o

Around twenty people sat on the giant round table and spoke. The three principals were called today just like every other year. They host the council meeting every year.Principal Weathers outfit distracted the room as her Pink blouse shined before anything else. None of them were dressed in such fancy colours. It was either black, or grey."Ms Weathers, as the head of the Journey institute, what are the recent changes that you've seen in your school?"The old man next to Dorothea fixed his glass as he questioned Weathers."Nothing sir. There have been no changes at all. In fact, we have gained much more benefits from the rest of the two institutes due

EricaAt the forest. Now there was another trouble ahead called the weekend party. Why was everyone excited about the party? What's so fun about that? A few people gather together and have dinner. That's it!Or is it different in the mortal world? We would host parties at our academy at times. Believe me, I hated those days the most. Seeing the workers waste their whole day on cleaning and preparing a massive meal for the guests made me furious."Why should they work for so long only to feed a few vampires?" I would question my mom about it the whole day. Frustration would ring in her head and she would reply,"One day, you're going to miss such parties!" Well that one day never came. I still hate parties. My sister's were different. They would love it every time the word 'party' was said."Freedom!” Catty would say. All of us would laugh listenin

HectorThe dark palace.Thirst was killing me. My tongue was all dry and sticky. All I could taste was my own breath. I know, it sounds weird. But that's exactly the only thing I could taste right now. This cell was all isolated with sand. There was not even a single window or door here. Underground cells are always congested. The place was tiny enough for only one person. But I wasn't alone. Next to me were the remains of my people. Piled up like a mountain. Why did Krulisa have to put them here? I am not surprised seeing her cruelty, but this was insane. I can't hold my tears every time I look at their remains. Some were missing their limbs, while some were missing their eyes, head, and their chest was ripped. Some only had a hand left.I was in tears again. My people, my students, my brothers. They are all dead. Because of me. Because I asked them to come with me."I am sorry. I am sorry for ev

Victoria Day 27 I am tired from all the travelling. My back feels like it will break in two at any moment now. Sigh! Old age sucks. Finally we were able to pass the riverside again. This was the second time we were back in the forest. I feel bad for turning back. But at the same time, I really want to hear from Benjamin. I want to know what was so urgent. Back to the Academy. I ran past the students and rushed to my room. I'm scared. My hands were trembling, my body shivering. Raphael joined my pace. "Slow down Victoria! You'll slip in a hurry!" That was embarrassing coming from him. But it wasn't me! I was trying to slow down, but the eagerness in me wanted to keep running. Once I reach my room, my legs pause at the door steps. I gasp facing the door. What's stopping me? Open the door, Victoria! I can't seem to do it. I don't have the courage. I'm scared. Raphael turned to me, placing his hands gently on my shoulder. "You

Jonathan. I'm scared. Every time I come across Melissa, I tend to either hide or run away. It's not just Melissa who I should be dealing with. But Amy as well! "Why did I create this whole mess!" The same sentence kept repeating in my head on and on. I don't even have a plan. It sounded like an easy task when my brothers asked me to clear things out with both the girls. But every time I took a step forward, I felt embarrassed and turned around. While we all sat for breakfast, I didn't find Melissa at any table. She wasn't around. Amy, on the other hand, sat with the most popular girls of our institute. She found me looking at her and flashed a smile. She was cute. No! No! Don't do that, Jonathan! Focus! What was I doing? I can't fall for anyone else! I love Melissa. But where is she? The morning speech was cancelled as principal Weathers was busy preparing for the weekend party, which was about to take place in two day. I haven't solve

Henry. The Heatherhalls Institute "Henry, wait for me!" Catty called after me as we walked inside the forest. We set out to go hunting today, just like I promised her I would. Our training took place outside the institute and Professor Armstrong trained us today. He let me and Catty go to the forest, as a task to fulfil the fifth rule of training. Hunting. The sun was scorching when we got here. But as we spent much of our time in search of a deer, the sun had already started to set. It was fun to be with Catty. For some reason, I felt safe being with her. "She is a vampire. Nothing can harm me till she is here!" I whispered to myself. Everyone saw what she was capable of during the fight with those monsters or beasts. You must be wondering how principal Rose and Dorothea were aware of us knowing about the beasts. Well, here's what happened. When we were young and still growing. The institute decided to host an Academic Archery championship. M

Boys and girls, busy asking each other to be their date for the big day, discussions about the dress, the food, everything was to be fixed within today. Principal Rose and Dorothea watched as their students happily enjoyed decorating the institutes. Little did they know the reason this party had to take place for. Would they be this excited if they knew about Principal Weathers true intentions? She was jealous over a mere funeral. Her anger and jealousy got her so bad, that she plotted a distraction to punish them. This whole truck of principal Weathers makes no sense. Anyone listening to such nonsense would think she was crazy. She actually is. Thirty three years later. 1st January 2023 "Catty, please open your eyes! Catty you're not dead! Please, I'm sorry. I'm sorry! Catttyyyyyy!" My eyes shot open. Once again I'm having those terrible nightmares. "What's wrong with these dreams?" I say to myself, rubbing my eyes. Why are my cheeks wet? I wipe the tears from my eyes. "I've been crying?" Weird. It's not just today. Almost every week, such nightmares come haunting me. And then there's this specific name that I keep hearing. "Reno." Stupid head! Stupid nightmares! I hated telling my dad about my nightmares. He would only ask me to go see a therapist, which I hated the most. I am not crazy! At times I would tell my little brother, Tyler all about it. He was only fifteen and thought I had some fantasy movie playing inside my head all night. "Hey! Are you awake?" There he is! The guy I was just talking about. "The door's open, Tyler. Get in!" He got inside, holding a pen and a book. "So, what have you seen today?

Henry. One day later. I've been practicing non-stop with my brothers. There was no rest, for the first time it felt weird to not sleep. Victoria let me and my brothers get our belongings from the institutes. Though Jonathan couldn't go, the rest of us sneaked in during the night and got everything. I found Krulisa's letters, rolled into balls and hid under my bed. "Someone must've been here!" I picked them up and tossed them in a box. And lastly, I found a new letter, folded neatly under my pillow. What surprised me were the words written on top of it. "My words......may they come true. From, Catherine Cross." Catherine wrote a letter? For whom? If she was in my room that means she might've seen Krulisa's letters. "She threw them under my bed…" the words sank in me. It hurt me to even think that she knew about Krulisa. Yet she embraced me with love when I met her outside. My tears dropped on top of the letter. I cry everytime Catty's thoughts flash in my head."I will foreve

Victoria My daughters did it. They saved the world from the wrath of Krulisa. Although the damage in the institute caught mortal attention, Dorothea and Rose helped me use the spell balls and wipe their memories. No students or anyone knows that The Journey Institute once existed. Nothing went according to the prophecy. Though we feared that Borham was the obstacle, little did we know that five mortals were involved too. Because of the Hudson brothers, Borham had his chance at getting Catty. And because of that, everything changed. My daughters had to make a sacrifice. I was surprised thinking how Melissa was so clever to come up with the plan of using their blood. When Ethel told me everything, I knew it. My daughters were the bravest and the cleverest children in the world. Melissa was always one step ahead at thinking. I didn't have to tell her about my father's sacrifice, she guessed it herself. About him using his blood to create the prophecy. You never get to enjoy what they

Author "Krulisa STOP!" Melissa shouted. Krulisa stood before them holding Principal Weathers by her neck. She laughed seeing the sisters before her. The institute looked like a war zone. Nothing in the interior looked the same it used to look. Only ruins remained. "Finally! The four of you together! You know how long I've waited here!" Krulisa laughed. She looked completely different. Her face looked better than before. It looked like she was reborn again. The immortal heart must've helped her. "Let her go!" Melissa felt nauseous seeing principal Weathers in pain. Her nose was bleeding as Krulisa tightened her grip, squeezing her neck to death. She dropped the body on the ground with a thud and grinned. "What makes you think you can order me? I have the immortal heart in me, I'm only an inch close to taking over the world. You really think you can STOP ME!" Her shouts echoed. Melissa's eyes were in pain seeing principal Weathers lifeless body. "We came this far, we can't just st

Author. The war was about to begin. Everyone prepared themselves. Catty's body was placed in a coffin. Principal Dorothea and Rose had finally met Victoria. The trio embraced each other. Shoulder to shoulder, bosom to bosom, their chins resting on each other's shoulders. Reno sat gazing at Catty's coffin. "I miss you." He whispered. All the happy memories of hers flashed in his head. Sad tears trailed down his cheeks as he thought about her. "There will never be another girl who will love me like you did, Catty." He whispered to himself.Victoria found him and sat next to him. "I wanted to tell you something. It's about your father." She took a deep breath. Reno could sense her next words. "Is he dead?" Tears dropped from his eyes. Victoria nodded, fighting her emotions. Author Henry fell on his knees. He didn't want to believe everything he witnessed. Tears dripped on his knees, his eyes were fixed at Catty's corpse. With Catty gone, the spell she casted died too. Krulisa walked next to Benjamin and picked the immortal heart along with the scroll of prophecy. "What is this?" Her eyes were scanning the scroll curiously. She smiled seeing the immortal heart. Henry was finally free. He slowly walked next to Catty's body. Hands trembling with sadness, as he touched her face. His tears dropped on her cheeks. "Hey…… You are not dead right? You- you're just pre- pretending isn't it? Catty? CATTYY?" He hugged her tightly and began weeping. Her body was cold as always. Her face, back to how she used to look, her hairs were all white now, with a little red stain of her blood. He wouldn't let go of her body. Pouring his heart out, he embraced her. "No no noooooo! But the pain kept getting worse now that Borham was trying to hold her back from attacking. Benjamin and Simon tried pulling Catty back, only to get rejected simultaneously. "I can't let you get hurt because of me!" She whispered to Simon. Krulisa glared at Catty. "You look just like your mother. Which makes me more angry!" "Well, I feel proud to hear that. You won't ever understand that feeling. Seeing how you've grown up, I believe you had a terrible past!" Said Catty. Borham pulled Krulisa aside and used a curse spell on Catty. "Bleed!" He said. And just then, blood started dripping from Catty's eyes, nose, and ears. Krulisa laughed, seeing her in pain. "Pathetic. Are you really the one that created this shield!? You look like someone who just woke up from the dead!" Catty screamed in pain. While Henry tried helping Catty, Simon an

Author Back at the Heatherhalls Institute, Simon's eyes shot open as he finally gained his consciousness back. Gasping hard for air, he looked around him. "Where am I?" He whispered. Principal Dorothea, who was sitting next to his bed, ran and threw her arms around him. "You are alive! You came back to me!" She cried. Principal Rose walked inside the room and found the duo hugging each other. She was just as surprised as Dorothea. Simon silently glared at nowhere. Looks like he was busy thinking about something else. "The Cross sisters, We have to warn them!" He said. Principal Dorothea looked at her friend and then back at her son. "Calm down, Simon. Tell us what happened to you? Who did this to you?" He shook his head in frustration. A part of him was still thinking about the event that took place in the mountains. His fight with Krulisa and Borham. "The Hudson brothers!" He said, gritting his teeth in anger. Principal Rose walked next to him. "What are you saying Simon? T
