The commercial shooting went smoothly and really caught the attention of everyone who saw it. Of course, Caspian's athletic body covered only in underwear, a briefcase, and a pair of work shoes was a sight that no one could resist, even for the men.
"So you're taking a time off?" asked Havier. Elora had returned to her room shortly after filming was over. And as usual, Havier never knocked on the door when he entered Elora's room. Elora, who was tidying up her desk at work, complained in the form of a sigh, then she muttered 'yes'.
“I just found out that time off can be accumulated like that. How much leave do you get? One month, two months?"
Since working at Dreamcatcher, Elora never took a time off or sick leave. Except at that time … even then Elora got in faster than she should have.
Elora's stamina and dedication to her job are truly extraordinary. Maybe that, and also her ability to always make their clients satisfied, makes Elora's boss immediately agreed when Elora applied for a leave.
"Actually, I can take up to a year off. But this company might close if I take too long leave."
"Arrogant," snapped Havier.
"Of course. Must doing it."
Havier handed her a report on the implementation of the project they were working on earlier.
"I'll read tomorrow," said Elora. She slung her bag and glanced at the clock in the room. It's eight o'clock in the evening.
"Yes, I'm not asking now either. You're not the only one who wants to go home right away.”
*
Elora walked down the underground parking lot. She can never be calm when in a quiet place with dim lighting like now. Yes, all of this was due to past trauma which, no matter how long Elora tried to deal with it, the scars still lingered like scars. Elora winced when she heard voices, and she breathed a sigh of relief when she saw that the source of the sound came from some of her office mates who were chatting with … Caspian.
What is he doing here? The project is already finished this afternoon. He had more than enough time to go home.
The underwear project team leader greets Elora when she finds Elora walking past them pretending not to see. Now Elora remembered the name of the team leader. Madison. A woman who is known to always curious about other people's business.
"Hey, El! Do you want to come?" call Madison.
Elora gave a fake smile. "No, thank you. I want to go home."
"You don't even know where we're going," said another. It's a friend who always clings to Madison.
I don't want to know, Elora replied to herself. "Bye!" That was all Elora gave in return, and she walked back to her car.
Elora could feel Caspian's piercing gaze, following her every step. Elora tried desperately to ignore it but failed. She tripped on her own feet when she got to the front of her car.
"Shit," Elora cursed in a whisper. Elora pushes a button in her car key to unlock it, then she immediately opened the door, threw the bag into the passenger seat, and sat behind the wheel.
Elora took the time to catch her breath. Without being asked, her eyes darted to Caspian and his friends at work, who now looked annoying. Either, maybe because they were annoying … or because they seemed to be trying to tease Caspian.
Elora pushed aside her last thought by shaking her head vigorously. She put the car key into the hole and started turning it. There is no reaction.
"Huh?" Elora started to sweat when her attempt failed three times. Not the right time to go on strike.
"Need help?"
Elora jumped up from the car seat and shouted when suddenly Caspian stood beside her. His hands rested on the edge of Elora's car, his body bent so that he could align his gaze with Elora's face. Elora lowered the windshield at the driver's door.
"No, thank you."
"Can you say any other words?" asked Caspian again, tilting his head.
"Like what?" Elora almost rolled her eyes. The last thing she wanted now was to have an insignificant argument with a strange man. The first thing she really wants to do is take a shower.
"Like 'yes, I need your help. My car suddenly broke down and I couldn't fix it myself '. Like that,” said Caspian who then shrugged.
Elora's attention was momentarily diverted to Caspian's muscles, which made his shirt appear cramped in a seductive way. Damn the men with their testosterone.
“This is an old car. A strike is usual."
"Then what do you want? Calling a crane?" Caspian glanced at the watch wrapped around his left wrist.
"Yes. They are available twenty-four hours."
"Trust me, when they come you will be home because I will fix your car quickly."
"No, thank you. I don't want to owe you anything,” Elora said, sounding stern this time.
"Okay, whatever."
Caspian turned around, as Elora contacted the crane service.
First call. Second call. And until the fifth call, there was no answer. Is everything conspiring for Elora to deal with Caspian?
It seemed Caspian was deliberately slowing down his path because when Elora got out of the car and called him, Caspian wasn't that far away.
"Change mind?" Caspian mock.
"Just make it quick. You should go in no time, right? " Elora glanced behind Caspian, but there was no one there anymore.
"Where?" Caspian followed Elora's line of sight. "With them earlier? No, I refused."
"Why?"
Caspian opened the hood of Elora's car and put on support. "Because you didn't come."
"Stop saying nonsense."
"It's up to you if you don't believe it."
Caspian started checking Elora's car engine and did something Elora didn't understand.
"Turn on the engine," Caspian ordered a few moments later.
Elora got back into the car, turned the key, and the engine roared on the first try.
"Wow ...," muttered Elora, softly. Caspian closed the hood of the car and walked over to Elora. He is standing by the driver's door again, exuding an aura of 'I'm amazingly seductive without much effort'.
"You forgot something," said Caspian.
"What?"
"Thank-you note."
"Thank you."
Caspian chuckled, which made Elora's heartbeat several times faster.
"Nothing like that."
Elora gasped. "Are you asking for something in return?" Elora's hand searched for her bag, while her gaze was still fixed on Caspian. "How much?"
Caspian shook his head. "No, not money." He was silent for a moment. “Not right now. Later when we meet again, I'll ask for it."
*
Caspian's last words annoyed Elora all the way home. she does not like having a debt of gratitude to others. Elora must respond immediately. Or maybe it would be great if they didn't have to see each other again. Looks like the possibility is also thin.
Elora traced the road next to Lake Wakatipu, which is now dark as night. Elora occasionally glances at the scenery that accompanies her to her one-bedroom apartment, which is located on the outskirts of Queenstown.
Living in Queenstown, New Zealand, is a gift that Elora is most grateful for in her life. At least whenever she feels stressed about work or life's problems, Elora can simply get out of the car, enjoy the views of Queenstown or take a hiking trail to the forests around Lake Wakatipu, and the fatigue in her brain immediately disappears.
Like tonight. The view of Lake Wakatipu blends with the expanse of stars in the sky, never fails to amaze Elora, even though Elora has seen it thousands of times. Elora imagines how nice it is to soak in warm water, and after that sips wine while sitting enjoying the evening from the apartment veranda.
Earlier, Elora took the time to stop by a restaurant to buy dinner. As a result, she came home later than she should have, even though the road leading to her apartment was notoriously lonely and winding.
Sure enough, the road is pretty quiet, even tonight no vehicle passed except Elora's car. This made her anxious again. And Elora was getting more and more worried when she saw a group of people huddled in the middle of the road, blocking Elora from passing.
Elora immediately stepped on the brake pedal. she's keeping a safe distance while making sure what's ahead. Was it an accident? Or a drunken tourist?
Elora squinted, saw a figure standing with his back to Elora, which Elora seemed to have seen somewhere. The figure turned, and how shocked Elora was when she found out that it was Caspian.
*
At first, Elora thought Caspian was committing an act of vandalism with his friends. Because the others looked as fierce as he was, some even carried iron clubs and sharp weapons that sparkled silver when caught in the headlights of Elora's car.But then that guess was broken when one of them started attacking Caspian. Caspian fended off the attacks that came crashing down on him. Elora, who watched it all from behind the wheel, could only tremble with fear. She put the gear back and began to push the gas as deep as she could. But damn, nothing happened. The car broke down again at the wrong time.Damn old car. Now, what should she do? Just running out of the car for help? Not a chance. Only this vehicle that Elora has and without the car Elora will be overwhelmed.Elora's legs shook even more when she realized that one of the Caspian thugs was walking over to her. Elora made sure the car was locked, and as the person got closer, Elora could hear the soun
Every full moon night, Elora always has the same dream. She walked on an endless meadow, surrounded by spiky-tipped mountains. A familiar sight, one that Elora used to see in Queenstown. But no matter how far Elora went, the meadow was never-ending … as if it had no edge. There was no one Elora could meet. No life, no sound. Only herself with a huge moon whose silver light was blinding. But … tonight's dream was different.Elora is not alone. She was still the same, standing in the middle of the meadow, wearing a white dress, which swept the rocks under her feet. Her hair was loose, all black. The moonlight was still just as dazzling, but there was a figure that caught Elora's attention.Someone was standing not far in front of her. Bathed in light. Her hair was silver and shimmering, her eyes were the same color. her whole body was covered in a dress made of something clear, wavy, like a gem made of water. The woman smi
Caspian returned with Elora's bag, a large white shirt, and jeans."Don't come any near," Elora ordered. "Throw them all on the couch." Elora pointed at the sofa in front of her with her chin.Caspian chuckled as he cocked his head to one side. "What now? I won't attack you. I promised. ""I don't believe you." Even to any man in the world, Elora added to herself.Caspian made a face that said 'I'm tired of this drama, but I'd better go along with it', then threw everything on the sofa near Elora.“Now get out of here. I want to get dressed."“I've seen you without clothes before. Why do I have to leave now?”"JUST GET OUT OF HERE!" Elora snapped, and brutally grabbed her bag, looking for pepper spray. Caspian raised both hands in a sign that he was giving up. "Okay, okay. I will go."He turned around, but then came back again. “The shirt must be big because it's mine. But the pants are your size…
Elora asked Caspian to take her to the apartment because Elora had just remembered that she had to prepare herself. She will meet potential clients, and this will be her last job before Elora takes a leave. So Elora must be able to make it a success.Actually, this was a bad idea because Caspian will know where Elora lived. But Elora had no other choice."Thank you. You can go home." Elora said it while opening the car door. Of course, Caspian didn't let her go that easily. He caught Elora's wrist, making Elora stop.Elora turned to look at Caspian's fingers wrapped around her wrists.“Let go,” Elora hissed through gritted teeth."I have something important to tell you.""What?" Elora jerked her hand away from Caspian's grip."If anything happens, call me immediately."Elora took a moment to answer the question. “Thanks, but I have friends to rely on.”“Your friend won't be able to handle it
"Sorry, but I'm not a model," said Elora quickly. It didn't take her much deliberation to outright reject Caspian's idea.Caspian crossed his arms, casually giving Elora an appraising look. Elora didn't like the faint sneer in Caspian's eyes when he did that."As clients, we have the right to ask for whatever we want, right?" said Caspian."Yes, you have the right. But we can't fulfill everything, especially if it's deemed impossible." Elora corrected.Caspian now directed the conversation to Charlie. "Tell me, Charlie. Was my request just now not possible?” Caspian let out a thin, barely perceptible grin after asking that.Charlie gulped, then the corner of his eye caught Elora's figure for a moment. Elora knew Charlie couldn't make a decision right away. If they refuse, they might lose clients. If Charlie agreed, he had to be prepared for Elora's wrath. Elora did not hesitate to protest at her boss when she found herself placed in an unreas
No touch. The scenario is determined entirely by Dreamcatcher. If the female model feels uncomfortable with the scene being performed, she has the full right to request a scene change. The last point is just in case Caspian improvises the script that has been prepared by Elora.Without much debate, Caspian's side immediately agreed to the terms. Shortly after the two sides signed the agreement, Caspian and Zed leave the building.Elora didn't know if she should breathe a sigh of relief or if this will be the beginning of the heavy stress she would face for the next few days. Elora immediately returned to the room and sat slumped in her chair."One week, El," Javier corrected when Elora explained that she was too lazy to imagine the days she would have to spend as a model with Caspian."No. At most, we will only visit three places right?” Elora flinched and quickly denied Javier's statement.“Do you realize that the
"Calm down," Caspian coaxed, as Elora took a step away. There was a shattering sound coming from the shards of the mirror scattered on the floor."El, I'll help you. Don't be afraid."Elora asked the question of why she was like this, but of course, all that came out of her mouth were moans and a sad howl.“El, come with me. I'll explain it to you. If you stay here, you might attract the attention of the neighbors. The sound you made earlier was quite loud.”Caspian carefully walked over to Elora, who was already pushed into a corner. Elora could feel her body shaking. She was afraid of her own figure. Elora yelped as Caspian placed a hand on Elora's wet, hairy muzzle."Listen to me. Your form is not permanent. You just have to learn to control it. Now, I will help you to return to your original form.”After saying that, Caspian touched the top of Elora's head, and Elora felt a warm stream of energy run through her body, se
Caspian kissed Elora's lips, lustfully, mercilessly. Caspian's hands held Elora's hand on the sofa, preventing Elora from moving. As Caspian pulled away, just so he could look into Elora's frightened eyes, Elora took a deep breath.Caspian's face, which had been dark with passion, turned to surprise when he found Elora shedding tears."You..." Caspian was unable to continue. Elora bit her lips hard, her jaw tightened so that her jawline was printed clearly at the corner of her face."Let me go …." Elora's voice was just a desperate hoarse.Caspian loosened his grip, and Elora made the most of the opportunity. She pushed Caspian's body away with the last of her strength."I hate you," Elora growled with hate in her eyes. The door to the room opened just after Caspian was pushed away by Elora."Am I bothering you guys?" asked the person who had just entered. A small woman with shoulder-length red hair. Thick-rimmed glasses in bri
Ten years later….Caspian looked at himself in the long mirror in his room. Today is a very important day in his life. The day he had been waiting for for the last ten years.Caspian deliberately opened the bedroom door, because he was waiting for someone to arrive. As Caspian was adjusting the position of the suit attached to his body, the bedroom door snapped open and someone ran in, screaming.“Uncle!!”“I told you, call him Alpha!”A loud bang was heard, and the sound of a child screaming in pain followed. Caspian frowned, sharing the pain in the boy’s head. “It’s okay, Kate. He’s my nephew, anyway.”“If I let him, he’ll go easy on you, Cas!”“Mommy sucks!” Cooper shouted, then he ran away, leaving Caspian and Kate.Caspian smiled widely and hugged Kate. Kate hugged him back. She gave Caspian a few pats on the back before they let go.
“Elora!”Caspian shouted for her, but Elora kept running. They thrashed the snow under their feet, breaking through dry branches and braving the skin-biting air. Elora was in werewolf form, and she ran faster than Caspian.Caspian continued to chase after her, but all he could see was Elora’s back getting further and further away. Until they came to a dark and almost frozen riverbank. Elora suddenly stopped, then turned around. “Stop! Stay away from me!” she screamed. Caspian stopped a few yards from Elora. His lungs ached, and the wound throbbed like a second heart.“Elora,” Caspian spoke Elora’s name carefully, as if her name was sacred and contained magic. That one word can describe how longed and desperate Caspian is. He walked over, turning himself into a human again. Instantly, a chill shot through Caspian, worsening his condition and making his wound feel like it was being stabbed by a thousand tiny needles.
“Don’t move,” said Brittany. She hitting Caspian in the chest with her rock-hard fist.“Ouch!” Caspian groaned. “Brit, you know I’m sick, right?”“No. Your wound should be healed by now.”“I’m still recovering.”“Bullshit.”“Have you ever been shot with a silver bullet?”Brittany stopped arguing. She shrugged and glanced at the nightstand beside Caspian’s bed. “I still can’t find her,” Brittany muttered. “It was as if she had disappeared from this world.”“She’s still alive. I can feel it.”“How about you stop looking for her? It’s been a month, Cas.”“Only a month, Brit.”Brittany took a deep breath, then when she looked back at Caspian, a smile tugged at her pink lips. “I can’t keep mobilizing my members to look for h
“Hëna.”Arapeta’s voice was at the threshold of Elora’s hearing. She felt dead to the world, but she was still awake. Elora could see everything around her, but at the same time, she could not feel her body. Elora seemed to float in another dimension, which looked the same as the world she knew.“No,” someone denied. Zed’s breath was close to Elora’s ear, whispering a doubtful refusal. “Hëna wouldn’t want to meet lowly werewolves like you! She is too sacred to be seen by the ignorant eye!”“Look who’s talking,” said Javier. “You mean the moon goddess doesn’t want to see you?”The sound of bullets cut through the night, and a moan of pain escaped Javier’s lips. “Bastard.” Zed gritted his teeth as he realized his shot had only hit the edge of Javier’s arm.Zed pulled the trigger again, but the gun fell from his hand,
“You can guess the rest,” Zed said. “He confronted me, and since we were both anxious about each other’s secrets, we started arguing. I purposely took him to the edge of the forest, far from the city. I felt that our conversation would not go well, so I prepared for the worst.”“You—you killed Cooper?” Caspian gasped.Elora couldn’t see Caspian right now, but she could imagine how devastated Caspian would be to know one by one the harsh realities that were happening around him.Elora thought Zed would laugh and admit it proudly. However, there was only a cold reaction to Caspian’s question. “Didn’t you hear my explanation? Your best friend sells drugs!! And you’re angry because I killed him?? You should thank me!! I have removed the trouble from your pack!!”“You killed him! You killed Cooper and you’ve been acting like you know nothing?! Have you gone mad?!&rd
“Are you sure?” Cooper asked. He still didn’t believe in Zed’s theory. The pack of The Moon Protectors was long extinct, and there is not enough evidence that they inherited Hëna’s powers. But Zed had done a lot of research, relating events, until he concluded; there was still one werewolf from that pack. And she is a woman.“Damn sure,” Zed replied. They were sitting on the balcony of the Sacred Storm restaurant. It’s a full moon tonight, and because it’s the holiday season, many tourists come here, including single women. Soft prey to satisfy Zed’s passion. Cooper was happy to see Zed in action because he said every woman looked so hilarious when they had fallen for Zed’s seduction. Although Cooper often says that Zed’s behavior is immoral, Zed knows Cooper enjoys it too. Seeing how helpless the women were in front of them.“Then what’s your plan?” Cooper asked again
Caspian didn’t know if the plan he had put together with Javier, Arapeta, Aiden, and Hanupo could go smoothly. Caspian wasn’t even sure what they were talking about together was a rescue plan. After learning that Zed betrayed him, Caspian could no longer expect the members of the Sacred Storm pack to submit to him. Caspian knew some of them had sympathy for Zed.Caspian drove to the abandoned wine cellar in the west. It used to be the territory of the Sacred Storm, but through tough negotiations with the Alphas at that time, they decided that the area would become a neutral area and a barrier between the territory of one pack from another.Caspian left his car on the side of the road. He made sure no one was around before turning himself into a werewolf. The sky was getting darker as Caspian made his way through the woods. The longer Caspian could feel the energy radiate from the other werewolves. There were many werewolves up ahead, and none of them Caspia
Cold. Dark. A faint sweet and bitter aroma.Elora opened her eyes, but she couldn’t see anything. The intoxicating smell of medicine still lingered in her nostrils. After a while, she realized that someone had covered her eyes with a black cloth.“Judging by the way you’re moving, it looks like you’ve come to your senses.” A familiar voice greeted her. That’s Zed. Elora could feel Zed beside her. His breath brushed against Elora’s cheek.“Let me go,” said Elora.Zed chuckled. “Why are you saying such useless things? You think I’ll let you go when you ask me to?”Elora struggled. They tied Elora’s body with ropes to a chair. As Zed ran a finger up Elora’s cheek, Elora rebelled and shivered in disgust. “Get your hands off me,” Elora hissed.“Don’t piss me off, El. Soon we will be husband and wife.”Elora gasped. “What
Caspian drives like a madman after Elora doesn’t answer his calls, and when Caspian calls Javier, that man says he left Elora alone. When Caspian got angry at this, Javier said, “Hey! I didn’t mean to leave her! She insists on being alone!”Caspian parked his car carelessly in the parking area of Elora’s apartment. He rushed to the second floor and knocked on Elora’s apartment door in a hurry. “Elora! Open the door! It’s me!”No answer. Even Caspian didn’t hear any movement in there. Caspian tried to knock again, this time louder. Instead of Elora coming out, it was the residents of the apartment opposite Elora’s apartment who opened the door. An old woman walking with a cane.“She went out with a black-haired man,” she said, half grumbling. “For God’s sake, what happened to her recently? She hadn’t been home in a long time, and last time she made a big fuss. I almo
