If there was ever a time to be amazed by a person’s skill and grit, it was now.“Incredible”The eyes of the commentator watched the scene of Mane’s flickering form with surprise and fascination, with the young Supreme proving to the world that he was indeed a child of prophecy. Mane was slower than Professor Jackson. There was no denying that; however, his reaction time was faster than the professor’s! By accurately judging where the professor’s attacks would come from and overcoming the massive suppression from the professor’s aura, he was able to avoid each blow by a hair’s breadth. His judgement was impressive as well. For Mane was mostly on the defensive and struck only when it seemed to be the most opportune time to. In fact, his patience and keen observation had paid off a few times, for the young Supreme had been able to accurately land a few attacks within the past five minutes. In fact, if the young Supreme had attacked five times, four of them had drawn blood! It was incred
“He’s strong,” Mane concluded as he struggled to deflect another one of Professor Jackson’s massive punches.*BOOM*The man’s fist was akin to the hammer of a dwarven blacksmith. It threatened to crush him apart and shatter his soul. All Mane could do – even with his powerful physical abilities and his very pure energy – was to dodge or deflect the attacks. Taking them head-on was suicidal.“What is impressive is not that his punches are powerful, but that head-on confrontation is clearly not his strongest suite,” Cronos’ voice reached Mane’s ears, causing the Supreme to falter for just a moment. That turned out to be costly, for the young Supreme was struck squarely on the shoulder, sending him flying into the barrier that he had made himself!*Boom*“Devour!” Mane breathed in hungrily, his broken shoulder swiftly healing in mere seconds as he swallowed large amounts of Edict to replenish what was lost.“He is coming again,” 1st warned, but Mane already knew that.He could sense the
“This is unbelievable,” the commentator muttered, his emotions one with the spectating crowd. It was a common rule that when one became a Noble, they began to trim down their skills and keep only what they regarded as relevant to both their survival and advancement to godhood. Some Breaths were entirely abandoned while others were merged to produce even more powerful skills. Soon, those Breaths became Glows and those Glows became the very foundation for that Noble’s rise to ascension. After all, one’s domain was dependent upon the glows that one had mastery over.“Never attempt to ascend in more than one path if you are but a mortal.”This was a popular saying that limited the imagination of mortals and made it such that they would never catch up to the gods. You see, Asgardians were Body Wielders, but their gods were also Scholars. Olympians were Energy Wielders and their gods were Spiritualists as well. The other pantheons had similar stories. If there was to be an exception, it wou
Professor Jackson dashed forward furiously. His eyes flashed dangerously as Edict covered his arms and legs. Even if the masters were saying that he was not a combat type, Mane didn’t think so. Surely, he could tell that the professor was rusty, given that he was not moving as fluidly as he should have been. After all, if that wasn’t the case, he would have lost already; however, he had to admit that the professor was strong. His charge was as overwhelming as the word itself.*Boom*Mane took a deep breath and pushed forward as well. His eyes flashed with torrents of lightning as the deadly element coated his frame. Brimstone and lightning came together to create what was his most potent attack right now. Instead of avoiding the professor, Mane accepted his attack head on!*BOOOM*It was no surprise – the outcome. Mane, the one the world was learning to call Supreme, was sent flying into the barrier. So thunderous was his contact – his back – with the barrier that the entire stadium s
“Do you think he has noticed?” 1st asked Blade Lord. There was silence in the mindscape for a short while, before the answer which every one of the masters here was expecting was given.“He wouldn’t be Brahman if he didn’t,” Blade Lord replied simply before going silent again.“Worry about their family drama later. Right now, our little boy’s battle is more important.” 2nd chimed in.“Alright then. You are right. We will worry about that later.” 1st nodded; and then they cast their attention to the battle happening outside.…Bloodied Blade: Crazed Cut of the Blade King!*Boom*Professor Jackson was forced to take a step back once again, abandoning his plan of destroying Mane’s staff in the process. The young Supreme’s eyes were filled with desire and intent for murder. While this desire was suppressed, it was still visible at a palpable level. With a massive leap forward the young Supreme closed the gap between him and the professor in an instant. The daggers in his hands resonated w
No matter how many masters one has or how talented one is at absorbing the teachings of others, if one is unable to inaugurate the teachings of one’s masters into their own, one would be unworthy of all the attention and grooming. Bloodied Blade arts was a powerful blade technique. It was so powerful that unlike Prideful Sword, it had taken Mane years to fully understand the four techniques that encompassed this blade art. You see, the Blade Lord was different from the Sword God.The Sword God took pride in learning many techniques and incorporating them into each other to create a variety of sword skills that were useful for every situation. There was the Swallowtail Sword, Gentleman’s Sword, Warrior’s Wrath, and Mountainous Sword. Each of these three sword arts had their own techniques, and each was meant for a different group of people. The Mountainous Sword was meant for heavy sword users, while the Swallowtail Sword was perfect for those who prioritized speed over brute strength.
“To think there would come a time when I would see this again,” Brahman watched on silently. His words were spoken to himself and the surprise he felt when he saw the blades floating next to Mane was concealed much better than even a spy would. He had given himself away once; he was not going to do it again.Weapon Masters – a group of people despised by the gods for their unwillingness to allow themselves to be subjugated and confined to a lifetime of servitude. It sounded hilarious – the pretext – but that was exactly the reason why they had been subjugated. Their planet and sacred artefact was too precious an object to allow outside of the hands of the Heavenly God Clans, and it was because of this that they had been wiped out. At the time, it felt like the best option. It felt like their death was the only way to go about things. However, just like children grew into maturity and became adults, Origin Gods also experienced growth.Unlike godlings who were born as children and grew
Every blade or sword master started by learning skills that belonged to others; however, that was not the path to the peak. By mastering the skills of others, one would eventually reach the top, but one would never be recognized as the greatest in the field. To be acknowledged as a great, one must develop their own technique. It was for this reason that Nobles had to forge Breaths and convert them into Glows before being allowed to ascend. It was for this reason the Sword God and Blade Lord received their names. They would have been considered mediocre if they hadn’t come up with their own techniques. The Blade Lord developed the Bloodied Blade Series while the Sword God developed many sword tomes of which he allowed Mane to borrow the Prideful Sword Series. They had always encouraged their pupil to develop his own sword or blade art. Or better still, a technique that could be used with any weapon at all, given that his weapon of choice – the choice fate had made for him of course – w
