That morning seemed to be more revealing than expected because Selene wanted to find the answer to what had happened in a place where she wouldn't expect to find a coherent answer. Yes, she knew she was once again resorting to the dark stories of the town to solve the case, but it made sense to her.

"Where are you taking me, Selene?" Blake asks Selene. They are both inside a car that the sheriff kindly loaned them.

"It's time to discover what kind of beast is responsible for this!" Selene says as she drives the car.

"Do you think an animal did this?" Blake asks.

"I'm not sure, but it's definitely the beast that has haunted the town for decades. So we must find a way to counteract it and stop it from continuing," Selene says determinedly.

"Oh, I can't believe you're still on that. We shouldn't waste time with superstitions. There's a killer in town, and if we don't find them as soon as possible, they'll claim more lives," Blake says somewhat aggressively.
