The following morning at Nightshade Pack, Alpha Cade woke up and prepared for the day. Today was the day they would confront the Skyclaw Clan. Cade left his room, his mind focused and determined, and made his way to join his pack members who were waiting for him. As he entered the main hall, Gaia approached him.

"Alpha, everything is ready… we just need your permission," Gaia said, her voice steady yet filled with a sense of urgency.

Cade gave her a nod. "Let's move out."

Gathering his top warriors, Cade led the way. Kevin, Gaia, Elara, Alex, Lukas, and Ragnar fell into step behind him. The atmosphere was tense but resolute. Each member of the pack knew the gravity of the confrontation ahead and the threat that Skyclaw posed to their safety and territory.

They left the mansion, marching through the dense woods that separated Nightshade from Skyclaw. The early morning light filtered through the trees, casting long shadows on the forest floor. Cade's senses were heightened, every rustl

At Marcus's pack mansion, Alpha Marcus and his pack members returned, everyone dragging their feet in exhaustion. The festivities had clearly taken a toll. Asher, visibly inebriated, was leaning heavily on Lily, who was doing her best to guide him toward his room.Kieran, meanwhile, had hoisted Seraphina over his shoulders, carrying her effortlessly since she was too tired to walk on her own. Seraphina giggled weakly, enjoying the ride but clearly drained from the day’s activities.“Looks like you all had quite the time,” Zyra remarked with a low laugh as she strolled alongside Marcus, her hand brushing against his.Marcus chuckled in response. “Yes, it seems we might have overdone it a bit. Asher never could hold his liquor. He starts spouting nonsense the moment he gets tipsy!”Lily laughed, supporting Asher’s weight as he groaned loudly, his head lolling to one side. “You should have heard him earlier, Zyra. He was going on about how he could see double of everything.”Asher let o

At Marcus' mansion, he took a deep breath and nodded his head at Zyra. “You want this, don’t you?” she asked him softly. At Nightshade Pack, dawn's pale fingers crept through the cracks in Alpha Cade's curtains, painting sickly stripes across his sleep-ravaged face. He hadn't slept. Not a wink. Every dream, every closed-eye moment had been a torment, the feeling of Zyra making love with the Lycan bugged him. Zyra his rejected mate is now bounded to another, happy with him and all he feels is pain. The knowledge sat in his gut like a lead weight, a dull ache that pulsed with a rhythm that mirrored the absence of her heartbeat next to him.Even though he knew he caused her pain alone. The kind of pain he was feeling wasn't physical pain, not in the way a broken bone or a ripped muscle screamed. This was a soul-deep ache, a hollowness that resonated through every fiber of his being. He pushed himself upright, the sheets clinging to his damp skin. The room, once a haven, felt suffocating. The scent of her lavender sleep oil, once a comfort, now mocked him with its fading presence. He threw the covers back

In the heart of the Nightshade mansion, the tension was palpable. The once vibrant halls now felt suffocating, echoing with the uncertainty and fear gripping the pack. The weight of recent events had carved deeper lines into his face, and the ruthless determination in his eyes mirrored the growing desperation within him.Cade's frustration was evident as he barked orders to the gathered advisors and enforcers. "We need to tighten our grip. Anyone caught questioning our actions or showing signs of disloyalty will face severe consequences." His voice was cold, devoid of any warmth or compassion. The room fell silent, the pack members exchanging uneasy glances.Gaia, standing at Cade's right, frowned. She countered with a quick jab, which Marcus deftly blocked, their hands meeting with a soft thud."Not bad,"
