The final battle

The sun had barely risen when the Shadowheart pack was alerted to the impending attack. The air was thick with tension as warriors prepared for what would be the most significant battle they had ever faced. Inside the mansion, Zyra sat by the window, her hands resting on her growing belly. Marcus had insisted she stay indoors, away from the danger, to protect their unborn child.

“Promise me you’ll stay here, Zyra,” Marcus had pleaded earlier that morning. “I can’t risk losing you or our baby.”

Zyra had reluctantly agreed, knowing the wisdom in his words, but a part of her felt restless. She hated being confined while her pack faced the enemy.

Outside, the Shadowheart pack was a flurry of activity. Marcus stood at the forefront, his eyes scanning the horizon. Elara, Thalia, Kieran, and the other key members were by his side, their expressions grim and determined. They knew this battle would decide their fate.
