While the two fighters were chatting Manticat had broken in a fight with the squirrel. That hideous rodent had scratched him on his beautiful face and Manticat can't help but be thirsty for his blood. He chased that blasted acorn-loving pest into the forest and swung his scythe at him in a desperate attempt to kill him. The pest ran into the forest like the coward that he is but Manticat wouldn't let his prey get away unscathed. He will make his mother proud and offer her the heart of his enemy. Ruby will be pleased with his achievement.
He flew after him with his scythe but the pest was nowhere to be found. Manticat looked around, this part of the forest is very dark due to the thick foliage blocking out the sunlight but it does not matter for a great predator such as himself that descended from the great line of the kings of the jungle and rulers of Savannah. He heard rustling from a bush and figured that the stupid rodent had foolishly hidden there. He raised his scythe and started chopping through the leaves until he had found the tail of the damned pest. He released his scythe and pulled the furry tail of the rodent.
"Meoooow meoww meow!!" he exclaimed. (Translation: Your blood is mine!!) His body was thrown back due to the force of his pull, bringing along with him the prey he had caught. He suddenly heard the barking of a young puppy and he looked at the thing in his hand and found a wolf cub instead of the damned squirrel. His eyes widened due to his mistake so he released the cub from his hold. The pup cried as it hit the ground. Manticat suddenly heard snarling. He lifted his gaze from the cub and saw its parents and clan. Panic instantly gripped his heart and he flew away from the pack with all the might his wings could muster. He took twists and turns but the wolves were fast on their feet; they were only seconds away from baring their fangs at him.
He suddenly heard a familiar voice calling out to him and he did his best to outrun the wolves and get back to safety. He took a sharp turn and outmaneuvered them to follow the voice as best as he can.
"Manticat! Manticat! Where are you? Come back to me, okay. Stop playing around in the forest, it's dangerous for you, mein liebe." Ruby called out, which she knew was dangerous because it might attract the attention of monsters.
The familiar cried as he found his master and buried himself upon her bosom to seek the safety and comfort of her benevolence. She wrapped her arms around him as he wept.
"There, there darling. You're safe now. Where have you been? You shouldn't have wandered off far from us." she reprimanded, gently caressing his head.
Ruby suddenly heard snarling and saw a pack of wolves about to pounce on them. She summoned her scythe but it was too late, the wolf was already too close. The first wolf had pounced on her bringing her down to the ground. She used the handle of her scythe to block off its maw from ravaging her, baring its sharp teeth against the hard metal. It took her a few seconds to register what was happening and react to defend herself and her familiar.
Ruby kicked it on its stomach, sending it flying to a nearby tree and pulled herself up. She was surrounded by wolves and there is no way out unless she kills them all. She moved her hand to raise her scythe but found her hand paralyzed. The wolf had somehow made a cut on her right wrist which she didn't notice mostly due to shock, rendering her incapable to wield her weapon with her dominant hand. She kicked a wolf that pounced on her.
The branches of the trees are too low and the space they are in is too tight to merit the use of a weapon as large as hers. If she raised her scythe it will hit a tree branch and destroy the momentum of her attack and she can't release a shockwave as well. Her scythe could leave her open if she tries to wield it in offense so she can only use it for defense. Her spirit however is unbroken, she had faced situations far worse than this and surpassed them all in one piece. These are just beasts she is a huntress, they can't bring her down even if she is underhanded.
"Show me what you rodents got. I won't back down!!" she yelled.
Five wolves instantly jumped at her and with shaking hands Ruby raised her scythe to block them. A sudden force had collided against her body pushing her out of dangers' way making her leg go off her weapon. She felt strong arms wrapping around her shoulders protectively.
Ruby opened her eyes and lifted her gaze to her savior. She saw the demon staring at her with a blank look. His wings were out and wrapped around them protectively like a shield. She heard the wolves clawing at his back but he doesn't seem to mind nor care.
"You're hurt." he mumbled.
"You're getting hurt!" Ruby fired back, alarmed as the wolves bite and scratch his muscles.
"You're a troublesome cat, putting your master in danger like that." Aleister reprimanded making the familiar look down with guilt. The demon flapped his wings, throwing the wolves back. He lifted himself from the ground and brought her up with him, keeping a protective arm around her waist. He looked at the snarling wolves and back down at his injured mistress who winched when she moved her hand.
"Stay here." He whispered before vanishing.
It only took a blink of an eye for everything to change. The next thing Ruby knew, all the wolves before them had been all killed. Dark crimson now colored the dull brown of the trees as he murdered every single wolf in one quick breath. The beasts tried fighting back but their efforts were all in vain due to the immense prowess of the demon. Their pitiful crying ceased after the last of them fell dead on the ground.
Ruby stared at her familiar with fear. He had the power and brutality to do all the things he just did on those wolves upon her if he so desires and the possibility terrifies her. She knew what he was capable of and the thought of him going haywire made her tremble. Aleister walked back in front of her and paused a few feet from her position.
"Did I scare you? I'm sorry but I just want to protect you. You understand that, don't you?"
Why the hell do those words sound familiar? And the way he said it brought a knife to her heart, opening long-forgotten wounds that time did little to heal.
"I'm fine." she was able to reply.
"Clearly you are not. That is a very dangerous cut. If he had gone any deeper he might've popped an artery. Come on let's get back to the house." the demon went near her and touched her shoulder but she instantly pulled away from his hold as if his touch burned her skin.
"What's the matter?"
"Nothing. It just feels familiar, in a bad way. Like painful memories. But you're right let's get going. I don't want to meet any goblins just yet. What the-?!" Ruby suddenly colored bright red when Aleister had suddenly swept her off her feet and lifted her off the ground.
"Hey! I can walk you know. My wrist might be injured but not my feet so let me down now. I'm not that weak and pitiful." Ruby yelled.
"I'm faster than you and we need to keep going before monsters show up. You said it yourself." Aleister carried Ruby away back to the house and ignored her protesting and insults. He seemed to have toned down his remarks and antics, but why? His face looked neutral enough but his eyes told more tales. They look angry. Why is he angry?
True to his words, Aleister did arrive faster back to the house. He carefully placed Ruby down on the sofa and told her to wait as he retrieved the first aid kit. He immediately returned and asked her to lift her sleeves so he can treat her wounds but Ruby refused his treatment saying that she can do it herself."Stop being stubborn. This is your dominant hand, you can't possibly treat it with ease. Let me do it for you so it will be faster and better if you do it yourself." Aleister reasoned looking at her authoritatively wit
Six days had passed since the incident with the wolves and the two were able to finish up most of the preparations for the night of the blood moon. They've set up the traps perfectly and finished raising up the fences. No further hitches had happened ever since that day but even though the two acted normally around each other, it is undeniable that a tension had built up between them. It certainly was not a hostile one but it was the type that makes both of them prevent themselves from pouncing on the other and making love in any given location and condition.
The Nevermore fell on the ground, its wings are broken, its body was riddled by bullets and slashes, crimson blood dripped from its wounds painting the dull grey stone with its vibrant huge. The avian tried lifting its head but a hard boot slammed its face on the ground. Phoebus pointed his gun at the beast and shot it with all six of his bullets. The bird spasmed before going limp and dying. The marksman turned away and looked back at his companions. Adrian and Clermont are doing okay but Firrer lay injured and passed out on
Run...Just keep your head straight and run...Don't look back!
The sky was dark and merciless as it whipped the land with its powerful lighting and roared with the mighty thunder. The rain poured like a barrage of arrows piercing the sinful land as if smiting its corrupted residents while the winds howled brutally making the trees bow and the buildings crumble to their very foundations. The terrible storm spared nothing, not the ants that hide under the earth, nor the bears that slumber in their caves, and certainly not the men who merrily exploited the land. One castle standing remotely
Ruby sat up in her hospital bed looking at the bouquet of roses Rosita, the angelic healer placed on the vase while the said woman listed down something on her clipboard. Geneva was peeling an apple sitting on a chair beside her bed talking to her about something Gallen gave her for their anniversary. The witch pretended to pay attention making a few remarks here and there but is currently too consumed in her own thought to really understand her friend."And so he did this thing we saw from a movie and it was really cute but also annoying cuz he doesn't have originality but it still melted my heart because of all the effort he placed in doing it for me." Geneva babbled while the apple she was peeling nearly lost all the flesh because of the thick peeling she did."Getting inspiration is not a bad thing since you are pretty inspiring." Ruby commented smiling at her weakly. Even though she's been resting for two days, she still feels lethargic and listening to Geneva tal
Geneva returned to the Tower of Merlin, the revered housing compound of exemplary mages. The Tower of Merlin is not really a singular tall tower but is actually a castle with big rooms filled with subspaces folded by magic so you can have a very big space in a single room since mages tend to use large spaces for their spells and stuff. She and her boyfriend, Gallen live there but he was formerly living in Sellsword's Keep, the residential home of assassins, but he left it because Leanna still stays there. The hallways are empty as usually because mages are solitary and usually lock themselves indoors doing magical experiments and whatnot. Geneva walked along the quiet halls, being extremely careful to not set off any magical pranks or traps which some of her housemates leave behind for fun. There was one time when she stepped on a magic symbol that exploded into melted chocolate before puffing out chicken
I am a shadow...A darkness that slays darkness...My bullets shall pierce the hearts of those wretched evil vixens and purge their existence into damnation...I loathe them...I hate them...They deserve to burn in the flames of the 13 circles of Inferno and be slain by my handsI will protect this world by ridding it of their vile existence...So that no one can suffer the same fate that I suffered...No longer will anyone be victimized by their evil magic... No one will become a slave to their deceitful contracts and be robbed of their freedom and everything they own because of these vermin...He will burn them all in stakes and chain their souls down to the path of the damned where Cerberus will gobble them whole...He will purge the world of witches and destroy the evil of their ma
"I didn't expect that you would be this weak, Neherra. Where's that spunk you've been boasting off for centuries? It's no wonder that even my young daughter could kill you. It's her fate after all and your destiny is to be killed by her hands that's why you've been trying so hard to kill her. But you know what, witch queen? I'll never let you lay a single hand on my daughter." Cadmus declared in a menacing and authoritative voice as he stood in front of the bowed demon queen. The fierce battle that raged between them ended with Cadmus as the obvious winner while Neherra gasped for her breath below his feet. "Then why don't you just kill me and get things over with! Or do you not have the balls to kill me, you spineless dragon!" Neherra screamed as she glared at him fiercely.
It was a dreadful night. The blood moon that bathed the world with a crimson light seemed like it was mimicking the carnage of the land down below. Even the light of the billions of stars in the sky couldn't dispel the malevolent aura that seemed to emanate from the corrupt moon that appears to be watching the world like a condescending eye. Fear and panic reverberated across the atmosphere as death and destruction devoured the light of hope. If an outsider would take a look at the world they would say that it was hell and not the world of mortals. The chaos was especially prevalent in the Splendor Palace where the rich and powerful were supposed to be safe and enjoying a party of their own. Now their careless merriment has turned into despair with no way of escape but a small force of brave fighters are doing their best to fight back against the forces of darkness that ascended from hell. Injured and broken, bleeding and battered, the brave her
"What the hell are you doing? You've been drawing there since we finished making love. Aren't you going to get some rest?" Althreya mumbled groggily as she sat up in his extravagant golden bed wrapped only in the exquisite fur and linens from unknown exotic lands. Her fine bare body dented the soft mattress of the bed while streaks of sunlight haloed her cascading locks. To the man who sat drawing over his varnished table, Althreya looked like a goddess of beauty regardless of her disheveled appearance."I am merely indulging my fancy. If you've missed me that much even though we've spent five days and nights fucking our hearts out, then I would say that you are already in love with me. Well, no one can blame you for that. None can resist my charms anyways." joked Cadmus, making Althreya roll her eyes in annoyance."You fuck harder than you fight." retorted Althreya as she gathered the clothing her gracious host had provided only
A new dawn has arrived and in its wake, a new king is crowned. The proud Kingdom of Camelot had collapsed, the Knights of the Round Table had perished with it, and a new empire rose from its soils born from its people. The new empire is named Neo-Macedonia, ruled by Aurelius Parabellum II, grandson of Augustus Parabellum. Althreya Pendragon, the last queen of Camelot, and her most loyal knights fled from the ruins of Camelot and chose to live a simpler life in the northern region. She returned to the ancestral home of her mother in a small region called Colchester. Albeit being smaller and less grand than their former residence, Althreya and her knights led a life of hunting beasts and slaying down monsters and demons to protect their new home. With the blessing of the Holy Sword Excalibur, the former queen and her chosen knights were able to maintain their youthful prime years never
"My father?!!" Ruby exclaimed in bewilderment. She can't believe the words this man just uttered. Surely he must be bluffing. It's impossible! How can he be her father? Her mother never mentioned anything about him regardless of how many times she begged for the truth. Althreya would always refuse and say that she has work to do that's why she gave up on the topic. Now this man, this stranger from nowhere, comes up to her and tells her he's her father. How the hell is she supposed to feel about it? Anyway, there's also the possibility of an ulterior motive behind his introduction. He might actually be evil or something, so he drew her away from her friends before kidnapping her or murdering her. The only way to find out if he's telling the truth is to see if he really knew her mother so might as well play a little game. "What's mommy's favorite color?" "Blue." Well, that's correct but it was prett
Ruby stepped out of her carriage and gazed upon the proud edifice that housed the most powerful family in the length and breadth of the realm. The brightest lights illuminated the walls of the silver towers highlighting their magnificent architecture and beauty. The gardens are curated to perfection where the hedges are all trimmed and decorated with ribbons and fairy lights. Pixies frolic around while the fairies presented their elegant waltz in the air. The beautiful jewel-covered nymphs used their powers to make the water dance in the little canals and fountains, enchanting everyone as they entered. There are myriads of curiosities and experiences waiting to be discovered and it was just the entrance, what more could the insides hold. The sheer diversity and individuality of everything and everyone contributed to the radiance and majesty of the party making everything become more magical as you go deeper into the castle.
Aurelius sat her on his lap before wrapping his arms around her waist while their lips caress each other with passion and sorrow. Ruby removed his coat and unbuttoned his shirt to expose his strong muscles where sweat dripped down his skin that glistened like ivory. The maiden allowed her hand to explore the tenderness of his beautifully built figure and appreciated the well-defined lines that traced the broadness of his chest and the lengths of his arms.Aurelius pulled down her strap to expose her ample bosom and began caressing her soft delicate mounds that perfectly fit his palms. He teased, squeezed, and twisted her buds to allow her core to lubricate faster as his tongue traced the line on her jaw up to her ears making Ruby moan with pleasure and arousal. The maiden retrieved his slumbering python from the comforts of his pants and roused it with the gentle kisses of her fingertips. Aurelius also inserted his fingers inside her panties to tease her c
The chilling cold hugged her body in its comforting embrace as the water wiped away her tear into non-existence. Silence reigned and darkness engulfed her body as the water muted the world yet it did little to console her heart and wipe away the sorrow which lingers in her chest after finding out about Caspian's demise. Ruby didn't last long in the water as she finally decided to rise to the surface and cleanse her body. She sat herself on top of a boulder and took out a potion which she used to massage her hair with. She allowed it to settle on her locks before focusing on scrubbing the dirt and grime on her body as well as the blood of the demon who pretended to be her friend. She decided to redirect her mind into a different topic than Caspian's death. Sadness and sorrow will do a leader no good. A paragon abandons
Caspian and Ezekiel stood there and remained silent waiting for her to speak. Ruby slumped on the chair never minding her posture and manners as the two joined her on the seats around the table. "You should really leash your cousin, Cassy. He's gone too ballsy speaking to our Ruby like that." Ezekiel spoke spitefully. "That fool is naturally like that. I'm sorry that he treated you that way, dear Ruby." Caspian apologized to the maiden who poured herself a glass of water before drinking tiredly from her golden cup. "It's okay. I'm numb to it. Let the dogs bark because they are mindless beasts. Caspian, I heard that you and your soldiers were ambushed on your way here. Are you well?" "Oh, yes. It was a tough battle and some were even able to drag me deep into the woods to separate me from my squad however no demon will amount to the might of a northern soldier. I sent them scrambling with one roar and a swing of a blade. No one can stop me
