I know, I know. I should just jump into the story where the main character wakes up, like all the other W*****d stories. Unfortunately, this is not your typical W*****d story.
I am well aware that you attention whores like to read a werewolf or vampire story through the main character's point of view, imagining yourself in their shoes where you are the "chosen one", destined to be with the love interest. I know you like to read these types of stories because it makes you feel wanted and loved at times when you feel like you cannot be loved. Been there, done that, and got the t-shirt twice.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news and this will be a bitter pill to swallow, but I have to tell you. None of you would be the one the "Alpha" or the "Mafia boss" would settle for. You are the most likely the boring side character from all the W*****d stories. Hell, some of you are not even the main characters in your own lives.
So, if you came here to read this story hoping to escape from your reality, you came to the wrong place. This story is not here to fulfill any fantasies or to make you feel better about yourself. This story is about the side character that gets forgotten and thrown away as the story progress. The so-called best friend that the main character abandons when they meet "the one".
I was thrown into this story as that character, and let me tell you, it was the worst experience of my life. The original story is your typical blueprint werewolf story. It is the alpha being mean (and low-key) toxic to his mate, but they still end up together because all that abuse can be forgiven by a simple kiss and doing the devil's tango.
The story you'll be hearing is from the perspective of the side-character/best friend who has to cope with the absolute bullshit of the main character and try to survive all the dangers of this W*****d world.
If you wish to continue this exciting journey with me, prepare yourself. You will probably not finish this story, as it will not satisfy your needs. You will not get the satisfaction of being with the "Alpha" or the most powerful person in the room like in the other stories.
This was my punishment to live through, and you will experience everything through my eyes. You might get so angry that you want to throw your phone or curse. On the other hand, you might be someone (like me) who hates these typical W*****d tropes.
If you wanted common sense and real-life problems in these types of stories, you have come to the right place. This, as I said before, will not be your typical love at first sight, the boy is so obsessed with the girl that he forgets about his own life nor will the girl revolve her whole personality around the love interest. Things are going to get real for a moment.
Warning: If you critique this, you might also end up in a horribly written W*****d story. I am just joking, but be careful. It is going to be rough if you are a fan of typical W*****d stories, so I would recommend not going through with this. Unless you are a masochist, which by all means, continue.
Welcome, and let's begin.
A sharp sound rings through my ears. I groan in protest and my arm shoots to the nightstand. My eyes remain closed as my hand roams over the surface, trying to find my phone. The ringing pierces through my ears and I finally open my eyes. I scan the surface of the nightstand and grab my phone, turning the alarm off. When did I set an alarm? I glance at my lock screen and see the time. Why would I set an alarm for 06:00? A text appears on the screen, but I ignore it since it is from an unknown number. I throw the phone on the bed before I let out a heavy sigh. I roll out of bed and hit the wood-tiled floors with a loud thud. What the? I get up and my eyes dart from the floor back to the bed. Where am I? This is not my bed. And this is definitely not my room. The phone vibrates with another message from the same unknown number. I look around the room and blink a few times, just to make sure that I wasn't still dreaming.Whose room is this? The last thing I remember is falling asleep on
"And I binged "Lucifer" while I ate a whole pizza by myself," Allison says with a proud smile. I nod my head as I try my best not to make a face. "Wow, crazy. You crazy girl" plays in my head and I chuckle. She smiles brighter because she thought I was laughing at how crazy her holiday sounded."Hey, Allison-""Why do you keep calling me Allison? It's Ally. You're freaking me out." She pouts at me and frowns. She continues to walk on and I raise my brow at her. I have no idea how I am going to put up with her for a whole story. I inhale slowly and walk faster to catch up. I can remember the conversation that Kate and Ally had on their way to school, so I'm just going to stick with that."Ally," I pause to stress her nickname, "did you hear about all the new kids that are starting today?" She stops walking, turning to me while she shakes her head."Yes, apparently like 14 kids. I think six of them are seniors and will be in our homeroom," I say and wink when I reach her. Ally shakes he
When I got home from school, I went for a jog. I had to do something to clear my head and piece everything together. Plus, Kate is in good shape and I want to keep it that way. I managed to figure out a few things during the jog. I am impressed with my brain for recalling as much information as it did while I was zoned out for most of the book.I know Kate’s boyfriend’s name is Max and that Kate has an older brother, Oliver. He is one year older than Kate, but he failed his senior year. Now he has to repeat it in the same year as Kate. I overheard his mother giving him a lecture of a lifetime. He seems to be quite on the social side of life from what I heard. After I took a shower, I sit on the bed and scroll through all the photos on Kate’s phone. She has many selfies and pictures with friends and family. My own phone has almost no selfies. I am not one for selfies, but I like to take photos with my friends. I notice Kate has no photos with Ally which is strange. They have been frien
"No, I still can't believe you got almost all the new kids in your homeroom. I only have two in my homeroom," I complain while I follow Ally to her locker. Now that is what I call "plot armor". At least, she has the alpha and his friend, so I don't have to face them yet. I remembered that the name of the alpha is Tyler, but I don't know his friend's name."I don't care about that. To be honest, I don't even notice that they are there." She opens her locker and puts some books in the locker. I glare at her, but she can't see me. This girl is on some other type of drug. I honestly don't know why we are friends. And why does she even have books? We only start on Monday.I sigh as I wait for her to finish. I want to get to the cafeteria as soon as possible.I have to say that the day is a lot less eventful than I thought it would be. I did not even get the chance to see what the alpha and his friend look like. I am also extremely grateful that I did not witness the meet-cute between Ally
The seat that was once open next to me, is now occupied. And you'll never guess who it is. At least it is not Tyler, otherwise, I would have flung myself from this building. It is his buddy whose name I can't remember."Great. Now I have to share my table. Why couldn't I have just this one thing?" I ask under my breath. I sigh loudly on my way to the table and pull out my chair next to him. I sit on the chair with a groan. The teacher enters the class, greeting us as she walks to her desk."Okay, guys. I have loads of work to do, so keep yourselves busy." She sits behind the desk and starts to work through the pile of papers on the desk. The few students in the class burst into conversation and I pull my phone out of my pocket.I have been wondering if I can send messages to the author. I unlock my phone and open my messages. From the corner of my eye, I see three students wandering toward my table. They place the chairs that they brought with them around my table on the guy's side (I
I open the front door, out of breath and covered in sweat. I went for my afternoon jog in hopes that by the time I return, Tyler and Jake would have gone home. Why are they at my house? They should be at Ally's house, bothering her. This usually happens to the main character which I am not. Maybe the author forgot that I am, after all, just a side character. I silently close the door behind me and notice Oliver, Tyler, Jake, and my mother sitting around the island in the kitchen. It is getting late. It would be best if they leave. I just want to be left in peace. It has been uncomfortable between me and Tyler after the whole locker thing, so I have been trying to avoid them. Tyler and Jake are sitting with their backs to me, so I can sneak past without being noticed. I walk past them to the stairs and smile to myself as I reach the stairs. "Catherine!" My mother calls as I head up the stairs to my room. Shit, I thought I could get away. I walk with a sigh back to the kitchen and r
"And it felt like electricity when we touched," Ally says with a spark in her eyes. I try not to let out an exasperated sigh as I nod my head again. I have been listening to her blabbering about her meet-cute with Tyler all the way to school. I open my locker and she continues with her blabbering."I felt like- like this warm feeling in my stomach and my fingers tingled. I can't describe it." I roll my eyes and throw my sports bag in the locker."You just did." I chuckle at my joke and Ally crosses her arms."You know what I mean." I hum in agreement. Yes, I know all too well. I had to read a whole chapter about her wondering what it meant and how she convinced herself that he wasn't mean, he was just in a hurry.I slam the locker close while she continues talking about Tyler. I can't take it anymore. Please, make it stop."You ready?" I interrupt her and she nods. We exit the school building and head to the football field behind the building.Today, Green Valley High School is having
The doorbell rings and I hurry down the stair while pulling my hair back into a pony. That must be Ally. I called her and managed to persuade her into coming to the party. I am relieved to know that we can tackle this party together. It is the first high school party for both of us and I think it is fitting to attend it together. The DJ approaches me with an enormous speaker and I step to the side. The house is filled with these enormous speakers. I will not be surprised if the neighbors call the cops. If the cops show up tonight, I will not hesitate to throw Oliver under the bus. It is his party after all. When I reach the door, I swing it open. My face falls when I see that it is not Ally. Bloody Tyler, so full of himself. Why is he always everywhere?"Where is Oliver?" Tyler asks without any form of greeting. I roll my eyes and they land on Jake, standing behind Tyler. I have to admit that Jake looks quite . . . He looks hot. That black leather jacket is doing Jake's figure justice
