Princess Ara couldn't see Yuna's face, but she could picture a brave girl standing before her. She admired Yuna ever since she saved her from almost getting married off early. All because of Yuna, she was able to avoid getting married for this long. She smiled, "I admire you. I wouldn't be able to do the same things as you."Yuna asked, "What do you mean?" Princess Ara explained, "The way you answered Father's test questions were remarkable. I couldn't believe such efficient methods could be used to solve those problems. I believe that you're the only one that can help me. I haven't married yet, but it doesn't mean I'll remain unmarried. It's only a matter of time before I get married to the Dark Lord."Yuna had never heard anyone call themselves the Dark Lord. Why did it sound similar to a demon lord in a fantasy rpg game? She wondered if maybe she was going crazy. Is this world similar to a game? She asked, "Who's the Dark Lord?" Ara sighed, "He's my fiancee. I was arranged to marry
Princess Ara panicked, "You can't. He'll hurt you." Yuna knew what Ara was worried about, but she needed to find out more about the Dark Lord. She explained, "I'll dress up as a maid. He doesn't know who I am. Everything will be okay. Just trust me." Princess Ara suddenly began crying, "It's not what you think. He's a lot more scarier than you think. He sacrifices people for a god that no one has ever heard of. Miyon citizens have this religion that worships the King as the vessel to the Dark Lord (god). This is the reason he is called the Dark Lord. The sacrifices make him grow stronger. I witnessed him grow stronger once someone is sacrificed. It was the most horrible thing anyone could witness." Ara began shivering and she seemed lost in her thoughts. She seemed terrified by the things in her memories. Yuna shook her out of her nightmarish thoughts, "Princess, don't be scared. No normal human can grow stronger from murdering someone. He probably just fooled you." Ara looked at Yu
Yuna's petite figure knelt down on the wooden platform as the executioner forced down on her weak shoulder. The hordes of civilians surrounded the platform with a look of disdain on their faces. None of them understood her. She could feel the hatred emanating from the crowd below. She frantically searched for the man she devoted her life to, her husband. She discovered a man in the distance. His familiar figure slowly approached her. On closer inspection, there was a petite woman clutching unto his muscular arm. The woman’s long lashes fluttered like a butterfly as her tender voice could be heard. Her long white gown portrayed a young maiden of her innocence and purity. On first impression, she resembled a white flower that was fragile yet dazzling. She had a certain charm about her that brought the men to their knees. Both men and women in the crowd, gazed at the picturesque scene of the couple emerging before them. The man was none other than the emperor of their kingdom. He stood
Yuna’s eyes fluttered open to a piercing light that caused her eyes to water. She slowly began walking towards the light. The light flowed out through the elegant doors that led to somewhere mysterious. Are these the doors to heaven? Where was this? She pondered for a moment, before trusting her instincts. Her instincts told her that the light usually meant good things. So, she followed her instincts and went through the door. While walking for a while she noticed clouds under her feet that were so thick that they were no where close to transparent as she thought it would be. She was so focused on the clouds that she didn’t notice an enormous pedestal in front of her. She stumbled into the pedestal that was attached to giant marble white stairs. The stairs were enormous to the point that Yuna looked like a tiny ant. Before she could figure out how to get up those stairs, a tiny bit of cloud detached from the floor and flew towards her. The cloud lifted her up into the air and began
When Yuna regained consciousness, she could hear a woman cheering, "it's a girl!" The woman had a surgical mask covering the bottom half of her face. She resembled a ninja, but her clothes were too bright to be considered a ninja. She assumed that maybe it was normal to dress this way in this world. Yuna looked around and noticed a random metal box that kept making odd sounds. She had never heard anything like it. The ninja lady gently passed Yuna over to her mother. Yuna’s mother cradled her in her arms while gently stroking her hair. She didn’t have much hair, but it felt nice. Yuna gazed into her mother's eyes and felt the warm sensation of a protective mother. She never had a mother figure in her previous life and so this feeling squeezed at her heart. Tears began to fill her bitter eyes. She was thankful to god for letting her experience a new life. Her father came rushing through the doors with the same outfit as the ninja. As soon as he saw the child in his beloved's arms, he
"Welcome back!" God exclaimed with joy. "I'm so proud of you! You've accomplished so much in that world." Yuna sighed, “I didn’t think my 2nd lifetime was that great.” He frowned at my negative response, “Why not? You helped so many people with your amazing inventions and you inspired so many kids during your stay.” Yuna didn’t remember interacting with any kids, “I did?” God flashed his omnipotent smile at her, “Of course. You didn’t speak to them personally, but your work has inspired many. Not just kids, but also adults.” Yuna wasn’t used to flattery, “I didn’t do much.” God poked her arm playfully, “Come on, stop being so humble. I was shocked to find out that you were capable of so much more than what I expected.” Yuna questioned, “And what did you expect?” He grinned, “I thought you would be like most. I thought you would use your ability for your own gain.” She glowered at him, “You thought I would fail? Also, why do I feel like you gave this ability to oth
Yuna felt someone gently pat her back while softly humming a lullaby. She could smell a light jasmine scent that was coming from the person that held her. She turned her head to get a good look at who it could be. She was shocked to find out that it was her mother. Yuna never had the chance to meet her mother. Her mother passed away when she was only 3 years old. She barely remembered anything about her. All the maids in the room cooed with awe as they witnessed the mother and daughter. The baby was so adorable and obedient. The baby stared at the mother lovingly and she wasn't crying obnoxiously like other children. They were in awe of how affectionate the mother and daughter were. If only her father could make it back to see how lovely his daughter was. He was out at war while his wife was busy giving birth to their child. Her mother's slender hand caressed her cheek softly. "My child, I see that you are beautiful and wise. The way you obediently stay in my arms
Sena would never forget her sister’s sacrifice. She knew that the palace was a terrible place with sinister people that schemed to survive. Majority of the royal family and their concubines had their days filled with plans on how to eliminate one another. Sena wasn’t stupid enough to think Yuna would be happy. She knew that Yuna was willing to live that kind of life in order for her to gain happiness. Sena felt inadequate and small. She wasn’t capable of achieving anything. She didn’t have enough power or strength to fight for her love. She forced her own sister into a horrible life because of her selfishness. Her guilt overwhelmed her when she knew of Yuna’s sacrifice. Sena was hoping that both Yuna and her could get married to nice husbands be happy together for the rest of their lives. None of that seemed possible at this point. Living in the palace was a constant war between the royals and concubines. Sena couldn’t fathom what Yuna was going through in that sort of pla
