Yuna grew happy when she heard his reply, “I’ll take you there. It shouldn’t be that far from here.” She followed him through the forest. She wasn’t suspicious of him because she didn’t see any signs of deception in his behavior. Otherwise, she’d probably have to find her way back alone. Although she had a good sense of direction, she let herself get carried away enjoying the beautiful garden.
Yuna had a tough time catching up to him. He had so much more endurance and stamina compared to her and his legs were extremely long. She was so short compared to him; the top of her head reached his shoulders. After a while, he noticed that she was far behind him. He then slowed down his pace a great deal.
He could see that she was heaving from the
Yuna muttered, “Do I know you from somewhere?” The boy began to break out in a cold sweat. He looked away while answering, “I just know about you. We don’t actually know each other.” She could tell that he wasn’t lying, but there was something he was hiding from her. She continued to ask him questions, “How do you know me?” He scratched the back of his head and said, “I just hear a lot about you from people.” Yuna questioned, “And who are these people? I’m starting to think that there’s something that you’re hiding. Who are you? Did someone ask you to kill me?” He frowned, “Why do you have so many questions? Is it that important? Do I look like someone that would hurt you? If I were going to hurt you, you wouldn’t be standing here right now. Plus, why would I bandage
The ninjas were elated when the outcome of their battle was leaning towards their favor. The queen had hired a group of ninja assassins to eliminate Prince Jimin and Yuna. She thought it would be good to get rid of both at this party. It would be like killing two birds with one stone. She pretended to be a victim while watching the ninjas fight off the royal guards. This whole incident started with Prince Jimin getting shot by an arrow. Luckily, the arrow did not hit a vital spot in his organs. It had shot him on his right arm. The nobles that were having a great time became terrified. They were frightened by the hordes of ninjas that leaped over the walls in great numbers. The palace became a mayhem. There were people running for their lives while ninjas were killing people left and right. During th
Sun had a point. It was unusual for teachers to live outside of the palace. Yuna grew worried about this. She would be in constant danger if she had to live in the palace. It would be a matter of time before the Empress would find a way to get rid of her. On the other hand, being inside the palace would be helpful in preventing any future plots that could lead to Minho’s uprising. She still had to think about Minho murdering his brother and father. If she weren’t in the palace, she wouldn’t be able to stop anything from happening. She still had another 7 years till the assassination of the Emperor and 5 years till Prince Jimin’s assassination. She still had doubts about their deaths because it seemed that all the events were moving a bit too quickly. It could be because she altered certain things in the timeline. She felt the need to m
After Yuna finished crying her eyes out, she told her father, “The reason why I chose to become Princess Ara’s teacher is for that reason only. The Empress plans on marrying off Princess Ara to a prince of the Miyon Kingdom. In the future, The Empress and the Nation of Miyon will be allies, until Miyon decides to betray our country. They will start a war and our country will be at a disadvantage.” Yuna began explaining her plans in detail, “The reason for becoming a teacher is so that Princess Ara will have to spend the next few years studying than getting married. This will prevent the Empress from becoming allies with the nation of Miyon. I’m sure that she’ll probably try to get rid of us with any chance she’s got. If possible, I would like your help in avoiding living in the palace.”
The next day, Yuna woke up in her bedroom. The last thing she remembered was talking to her father about the truth. She felt a huge weight was lifted off her shoulders. She assumed that she fell asleep in her father’s office and he must’ve taken her to her bedroom. Yuna dug through her wardrobe and found a cool outfit for a leisurely summer day. While preparing her outfit, some maids barged into her room. She found it odd that they came into her bedroom because she never liked that the maids would help her dress up. She was used to dressing herself up and getting ready for the day on her own. Although she had the luxury to do so, she didn’t like it. Yuna asked, “Why are you in my bedroom? I didn’t call for you.” One of the maids lowered her hea
Yuna felt herself being lifted up. The maid grunted in frustration when they realized how heavy Yuna was. They were trained to be much stronger than normal maids, but they never had to carry someone over the wall. One of the maids complained, “She’s way too heavy! How are we supposed to climb over when she’s not doing anything at all? Let’s get her to climb the wall willingly.” When the maids looked at Yuna, they noticed that she had her eyes closed. The maid glared at the little girl. She dared to sleep through all of this. They were angry with her for being so uncooperative. The maid smacked Yuna’s back harshly and shouted, “WAKE UP! We know you aren’t sleeping. Climb over that wall. If you don’t, you know what will happen.”
Yuna never had the chance to meet him in her past life so she had no clue of the relationship between her father and him. She wondered how they met and how they became so close. Maybe it was fate like he’d mentioned, but she didn’t believe in it. She’d rather believe that all the choices that were made were her own free will. It would be depressing to think that everything in life resorted to a fate instead of free will. Yuna blurted out the question, “So how did you meet my father?” Eunho seemed to be pondering about the question she mentioned. It looked like he didn’t want to answer. She found it odd that he wouldn’t answer a simple question. She then continued asking questions, “Did you meet my father on the battlefield?” He nodded without saying a single word. She felt
Just as he lost all hope of surviving, a girl shouted at the shopkeeper. The girl was dressed lavishly, and most could tell that she came from a prominent family. The guards that surrounded her were enough to be considered a princess. He had no clue who this girl was, but she was willing to help him. She shouted, “STOP! Look what you’ve done to him? Can’t you see that he’s hurt badly?” She hurriedly rushed to him and covered him from the shopkeeper. He could not beat Eunho any longer because a noble lady chose to protect him. She had a higher status than him and he knew the consequences of angering a noble. He had a family to take care of and could not cause trouble with a noble. She reprimanded the shopkeeper, “Even if he’s done something wrong, you shouldn’t be beating him like this. He&rsqu
