Beth

We have six perfect hours. We slept little and filled the time with touch and promises. Around two in the morning my breasts became a painful reminder that I need to feed our son. Rack takes enjoyment in relieving some of the pressure, but it’s not enough and we’re forced to leave this special place behind.

During the ride back more than my breasts ache. The rumble of the motorcycle between my thighs lets me know how truly fantastic last night was. It’s a naughty sensation that makes me smile against Rack’s neck. He has a filthy mind and he filled me in on all he plans to do to my body. Just thinking about it makes me wet again.

As we approach the clubhouse, milk leaks from my breasts and I’m thankful for the leather vest. I also ache to hold Carson. We pull up and I can hear Carson’s wails from outside. We hurry in and Dax is holding him while Carson screams his heart out. With a look of profound relief, Dax hands him to me. Tears stream down his tiny face and his little lips qu

RackI need a copy of Weddings for Dummies. Dax and I are sitting at the club’s bar drinking beer and trying to stay out of the way. Every woman connected with the Desert Crows has flooded the upstairs. That entire section of the house is off limits. When the children get in the way, they’re herded down here for the men to handle. The wedding ceremony will take place at two o’clock tomorrow afternoon and the plan is to slide straight into the reception from there. We men are to make ourselves scarce tomorrow until the ceremony and that includes down here. What the hell did I agree to? It sure as hell wasn’t sleeping on the old bed down the hallway. “I may not be up on outlaw motorcycle club rule shit but if everything I’ve heard is true, you need to take control of your old lady and teach her who’s boss,” I tell Dax.The guys, including Dax, burst out laughing. “Yeah, like that’s gonna happen. My woman has a mean left hook and I don’t want to be on the receiving end. She wrote new rul

RackMoon’s dark eyes drill into mine. He’s in one of his impeccable dark suits, unaffected by the hot temperature, and, like always, in complete control. He lifts his arms and then drops them back to his side. “My hands are tied, my friend,” he says without a single crack in his cold expression. One plus one equals two. Maddison or Celina, possibly both, are in danger. It’s the only way this scenario could happen. It’s the one thing that would tie Moon’s hands and make him give up Beth and Carson. It leaves me with no leverage. Two men step from the shadows. I’ve worked with them for years. Cal moves in close and takes my right arm. I trained him and the move is stupid on his part. I explode before Marcus grabs my other arm. If Angelo gets his hands on Beth and Carson, my life doesn’t matter.I slam my elbow into Cal’s head and my knee takes Marcus in the groin. Cal strikes back with a side kick, but I grab his leg, turn, and push him into Marcus. An explosion followed by a sudden jo

BethShortly after Rack left, Dr. Santos came to the Crows’ clubhouse and explained that Moon’s organization, along with the Laterza crime family, were making a play against the Gimonde organization. If all went as planned, I would never need to worry about Angelo again. My wedding day.The doctor said Moon was holding Rack and trading the three of us—me, the baby, and Rack—for two people Moon wanted. The doctor assured me the trade would never go down and once Laterza took out Gimonde senior, Moon would do the same to Angelo and his men. The doctor was talking about killing. That stopped me for a minute. As long as Angelo and his father were alive, Carson and I would never be safe. That was the cold hard truth.I said nothing about the wedding to Dr. Santos. He could make what he wanted out of the preparations. I left Carson with Sofia knowing she would protect him and never allow Angelo or his father to get their hands on him. Sofia wanted me to wait for Dax to return, but I refused

RackFor two days I’m as weak as a newborn. The first twenty-four hours are a fog. After that, the pain and my inability to do the most basic of tasks made me beyond grumpy. Beth brought Carson in to see me often. The ache in my heart is worse than the ache in my chest cavity where the doctor inserted the tube after removing the one that Gomez put in.I’m not sure how I feel about what Moon did. It ultimately makes little sense and I’ve lost my trust in him and his organization. I will never forgive Moon or Gomez for bringing Beth in to see what Gomez did to me. The fury running through my veins stays bottled inside. For now.I told Gomez to empty my offshore account and set the money up in Beth’s name. I want her and my son cared for. I don’t need the money even though I have no idea what I’m going to do with the rest of my life. I will no longer be part of Moon’s organization.“I can tell by the look on your face that I’m just in time,” Carlo says from the doorway. I can tell he has

Beth The wedding took place the next day. We’re headed back to the cabin we stayed in almost a week ago. The only thing missing is the motorcycle. Rack didn’t want me out of my wedding dress even when I told him I could put it back on in the room once we arrived. “No way. I’m taking this dress off.” He kissed my fingers over the ring that will never be absent again. The wedding took place earlier than our originally scheduled time and it’s still daylight. He picks me up and carries me over the threshold into the shadowed room. “Your ribs,” I laugh. “My ribs will survive, Mrs. Street.” He draws in a sharp breath and I know it hurts. Damn man. He puts me down and wraps his arms around me. My laughter disappears. His lips move over mine and he licks the inside of my mouth. For an unknown amount of time all he does is kiss me. I’ve never known a man who gets so much enjoyment out of kissing. Of course, I’ve never known a man like Rack. He’s better than my brother’s letters ever descri

I grip the side of the casket tight enough that my fingers turn blue while peering down at the man I thought of as father. There’s a twist in my gut, a feeling that many would call caring. It surprises even me. Victor chose me for my lack of emotion and turned me into his perfect killing machine. He cared in his own way but was never affectionate, which I didn’t want or need anyway. I was his problem-solver whenever the problem required a permanent solution. I was also his boogeyman to show off and put fear into his friends and enemies alike. If I had a conscience, our arrangement never would have worked.Victor rescued me from a juvenile facility when I was twelve. To this day I have no idea how he managed my release into his custody. It’s one of the great unsolved mysteries that died with him. When I first arrived at his home, I thought he was a dirty old man. My plan was to kill him when he touched me. At twelve, I was already aware of the dangers men presented. Victor picked me up

AustinHer lack of tears surprises me, but I have no problem adding it to the list of things she’ll pay for. She’s shaky as she stands; she uses the wall for support. Her breathing is harsh and her hesitation makes me think I’ll be removing her clothes after all. When I’m almost ready to assist her, she finally moves. Her hands tremble as she unzips her shorts and pushes them down her thighs. “Please,” she tries again.“Everything off.” I say it casually this time. I’ve won and we both know it.She picks up the scissors and cuts the material so she can remove her shorts. Her shirt follows and she’s left in her bra and panties. She hesitates and I almost backhand her for taking so long. She must read something in my expression. With a delightful whimper, she unclips her bra from the back and lets it fall. She slices the panties and they float to the floor. A deep breath escapes her lungs before she lifts her head and stands in front of me nude. The scissors fall from her fingers and sh

MelinaI’m freezing and too cold to sleep. About ten minutes ago, I heard a car drive away and I think he’s left the house. Or at least I think he has me in a house; it appears to be a basement from the short glimpses of cement block walls I’ve managed to see. He isn’t concerned with me yelling, so I’m guessing the house isn’t close to others. He’s so damn calm and unyielding. It’s seriously driving me insane. From what I could see in the dark with his small flashlight, he’s at least six feet tall, with just the right amount of muscle on a lean frame. His short-sleeved shirt hugged a sculpted chest and his jeans looked painted on. His short, light brown hair accentuated a prominent jaw with the perfect amount of scruff on his chin. He’s gorgeous in an underwear model sort of way. At least until you reach his eyes. When the light reflected off them, I almost stepped back. They’re pale green, almost startling if you don’t look into their cold, lifeless depths. Pools of darkness lurked i

I rolled over and yawned, my arms coming from beneath the soft white cotton of the bedding and bumped the hard body next to me. Moon’s hand went into my hair and he moved his leg between mine and something very hard hit my belly making me smile. The smile lasted a few seconds before I covered my hand and jumped from the bed trying to get to the toilet before I lost the contents of my stomach. Yep, that was sexy. This time the hand in my hair pulled it back away from my face while I heaved my guts. He didn’t say anything and just waited for me to finish. It was horrible and at the same time endearing because I loved him so much. I stood and leaned back against his body. “Crawl back into bed and I’ll grab tea and crackers,” Moon said gently. I wanted to bitch and moan about the morning sickness but held it in. When I had my shoulder injury that took me from my career as a cop, I had a small amount of control. I could do my physical therapy and ice as needed and it worked. There was

Duke The wedding night was at the cabin and our honeymoon at the property. We had a week to ourselves. Cori laughed when I carried her over the threshold and straight to my bed. “Do not touch that dress,” I typed into my phone before checking the house was secure and I could fuck my wife for the first time. Her laughter followed me. When I walked back into the room, she was waiting exactly where I left her, smart woman. She opened her legs wide, the stilettos going to either side of the bed. A bit of red showed. The dress was fucking perfect. I crawled between her legs and pushed the yards of black lace up higher in the bed and snagged the red G-string with a finger. The garter wasn’t in my way. Cori sat up suddenly and stopped my exploration. “You spoke your vows.” I smiled even though my dick throbbed. “Thank you,” she added and lay back. I planned to fuck her until she couldn’t walk or talk. I didn’t remove the red nothing lace. I lazily fingered her, then took a long, slo

CoriIf I weren’t lying down, I would have fallen. Of all the things she could say, it was the last I expected and I couldn’t hide my shock.“No, I’m not pregnant yet but we’ve decided to try. We’re leaving and starting a family. Alex and Celina are taking over Moon’s operation.” She turned to Celina. “I’ll call it Alex’s operation eventually.”“Are you sure?” I asked softly.I was having trouble processing.“I’m absolutely positive. I thought I never wanted children but when Moon brought it up, I knew I was wrong. I want Moon’s babies.”“As in multiple?” I asked in horror.Children wasn’t something I ever wanted. I was not a rug rat fan and could tolerate Sofia’s rug rats for a limited time only. I thought Mak and I were on the same page.“We’ll decide if we want another after the first.”“Congratulations,” I offered, my voice uncertain.Melina started laughing.“You’re taking it how I did. The last thing needed in this world is a mini Austin.”I could most definitely second that.“O

CoriLife slowly returned to normal, though my new normal was much different than the old one. Things changed more after the cast came off and Duke could ride again. That’s when I became a true biker bitch.I blinged the shit out of my newly purchased black wardrobe and made that shit look good. I had standing orders from the other old ladies too. The club whores and I had a talk and we seemed to be on good terms. My end of that conversation was short.“Keep your hands off my man and we won’t have a problem. Touch him, even when I’m not around, and you’ll lose a fucking nipple, we clear?”They were fine with it. I understood their world. Respect was key. I had no problem with their choices as long as they respected me and my man.Dax’s club was a community of misfits and I fit in like I never thought I could. They didn’t care that I arrived in five-inch stilettos, looking like I was heading to a ritzy club. They accepted me as Duke’s old lady.Duke spoke to Dax and arranged a week off

Cori“How is Mr. Grumpy today?” Mak asked. She had her overprotective Pitbull at her side. I hadn’t seen Two-dogs since I arrived with Duke. I contained myself to the kitchen and Duke’s room. Two-dogs stayed out of Gabriella’s domain because the two of them stayed at war over what was permissible and what was not. I secretly thought Gabriella slipped the dog treats when no one watched but I had no way to prove it. I guess her new kindness made me think she was something other than Attila the Hun. I needed to watch those stupid fantasies. With assistance, Duke had made it downstairs for this morning’s physical therapy. He refused pain meds afterward and fell asleep exhausted. It gave me time to do something normal. I’d quietly left the room and gone to the outside patio to escape. The heat, even with the water misters, would make it too hot to stay for long but it was nice to be outside.I blinked at Mak who carried a towel. She took the lounge chair beside mine.“He’s sleeping. DukeMy biggest problem was boredom. It almost went hand in hand with people poking and prodding constantly. I didn’t live at the clubhouse for a reason. If it weren’t for Cori, I would have found a way to escape Moon’s place the first day. Maybe. I was fooling myself. The ability to lift a spoon to my lips was pushing things.I remembered little about what happened at Wild Fur. Between blood loss and the damage to my stomach, I should have died in oblivion. Things were foggy since waking too. I remembered telling Cori I loved her. It just came out. I hadn’t practiced speaking in years. It was something I did when younger when no one was around. I never felt comfortable with the sound of my voice and eventually decided it wasn’t necessary. That was true until Cori. There were things she needed to hear. Cori hadn’t asked me to speak since it happened. I doubted she even understood what I’d said.My grandfather took me in when my dad went to prison for almost killing me. They were the b

CoriThe air in the room was soft if that were even a thing. There were four rows of chairs. There was a podium at the front. No crucified Jesus hung from the wall, only a large framed needlepoint with writing.“Enter in peace and leave your sorrow.”I sat in the front row and bowed my head. My prayer was to Jesus.“I’ve never asked for anything.”Tears gathered in my eyes and turned to sobs. I couldn’t go on and fell apart. So many thoughts tumbled through my head. I was the whore of Babylon. If there were a man who would hear me, it would be Jesus.“Please,” was all I managed the next time I tried. The quiet settled over me and I inhaled in and out slowly. Within a few minutes, I wiped my tears. The room, like Duke with his silence, gave me peace. It also gave me strength.I went back to ICU and held his hand again. He wouldn’t die because I wouldn’t let him. I spoke to him quietly and assured him all would be okay. I spoke of silly things. I had to keep the connection so he knew I

CoriIt took us more than three hours to get back to the city and another hour through rush-hour traffic to get to Wild Fur. Moon sent his men in first and stayed with me in the SUV. Alex and Austin were with the other women at his compound. Moon didn’t want them here. He’d also left a vehicle behind with four men on Duke’s property to dispose of the bodies. The men cleared inside the Wild Fur quickly. There were two female employees cleaning and handling inventory. The place didn’t open until eight at night. They weren’t harmed and they were assured they could leave after we found Duke. The men hadn’t located him when they cleared the building. Moon and I entered and were shown the entrance to the basement.A light had been turned on. It looked no better than the club upstairs. I saw a rat scurry along the wall. Moon found the hidden door within a few minutes. He pried it open and we entered the dark room. The smell of excrement and death hit us.Death.I couldn’t breathe. In the sha

CoriDuke never left my thoughts. If he was dead, so was I. My life changed that fast. We hadn’t known each other long and it didn’t matter. He was everything I wanted and most of all he was someone who loved me for who I was. I knew he loved me. He shared his silent world and refused to take advantage when he could have. From the time his arms wrapped around me in the car after my escape from Fernandez, we belonged together. My past didn’t matter to him because he lived in a world where endurance and hard work were part of life. Duke and the men like him respected survival.Moon brought more firepower than required and the guns we’d pulled from the cave weren’t exactly needed. I decided to stick with Duke’s weapons because he made sure I was familiar with them. A piece of him was with me.Our plan had been to ambush the vehicles a mile before the entrance to the property. Alex moved the attack to the house. I wasn’t worried about Cartwright’s men knowing the location. None would leav
