Chapter 422 An Eye for an Eye

After repeatedly comforting Ruth, Alex continued the interrogation.

"Why did you only harm the daughter of the Watson family then?" Alex asked.

Saul sneered, "I needed money, but I don't kill innocent people. I negotiated conditions with them."

"So you can kill an innocent child just for money?" Ruth couldn't hold back and rushed forward, punching and kicking Saul.

Worried she might end up ruining things for them, Alex signaled for his people to take Ruth away while he continued questioning Saul.

"And what happened in the end? What did you do after setting the fire?" Alex asked further.

Sighing, Saul said, "After the fire, I couldn't bring myself to do it, so I sent the child away."

Seizing the crucial information, Alex asked, "Where did you send the child?"

"To Gilsbury!"

Alex was elated to hear that. "Where in Gilsbury?"

"I forgot."

He remembered all the evil details clearly, but he claimed to have forgotten where he sent the child. No one would believe him.
