It was eleven o’clock at night and Yohan Dixon had already taken a refreshing bath. He got out of the bathroom in his black bathrobe in which he looked sensual. He lit a cigarette and went to the balcony. After vomiting, he had become sober. His eyes were red and dark though his face was admirable.
Sara Owen was walking in the garden while hugging her chest. The man's eyes darkened when he saw her. Her face was pale and her eyes were sparkling in the moonlight because they were teary and lost. Her thin figure was moving on the lawn as if she had lost her path and did not know where she should head. She just wanted to walk. Yohan Dixon leaned on the railing of the balcony and kept smoking while looking at the woman with his dark eyes.
-“Help! Help! Please!”-
The noise reflected in his mind and he threw a big smoke from his lips which turned into lots of rings.
This was the same woman he had seen in that club before a month. He was returning from the company when he suddenly felt an urge to drink. He asked Assistant Nolan to stop the car somewhere to fulfil his desire. He had been sitting on the chair and she was the bartender. She was professional and calm and her sweet voice attracted him. She served him whisky many times but did not look at him once. He smoked and drank a lot and did not care that it was time to shut the club. She stepped towards his back and said, “Sir, it is time to close.”
He threw the cigarette butt in the ashtray to leave but a sudden noise entered his ears and he turned back. The woman had been slapped by a drunk man who was cussing her. She was ailing lying on the ground with her lowered and teary gaze, enduring the nonsense.
Yohan Dixon frowned when that drunk man called her ‘slut’. He slapped the man and he fell to the ground unconsciously. She got scared and quickly reached her palms to hold his shoulders.
“Adrian… Adrian… Are you okay?”
Yohan Dixon sighed when he saw the silly woman still caring about that man who had cursed and beat her. He frowned and left the club while lighting a cigarette.
Yohan Dixon came back to the present when he heard a familiar voice. He looked at the woman who had hissed just now. His eyes darkened when he saw her bare feet. A thorn was pricked in her foot. She slowly pulled it out, threw it in the trash can, and then began to walk as if her foot wasn’t injured. He kept looking at her and she kept walking till the middle of the night. Was she missing that Adrian guy?
It was early morning. Yohan Dixon got ready to leave but just like last morning, she was waiting for him in the living room. When she saw him, she lowered her eyes hesitantly because he was looking dashing in the dark blue suit.
“Good morning.”
Her sweet voice stopped him and he looked at her with his dark gaze. His sensual body fragrance killed her senses and she held her palms tightly.
“Please have breakfast.”
Yohan Dixon did not want to miss the tasty meal so he headed to the dining hall and Sara Owen followed him in a daze.
When he finished, he wiped his mouth and then stood up to leave.
“Did you like it?” She wanted to know so that she could cook as per his choices.
“Hmm. Don’t make it too spicy.” He replied coldly.
Judging from his attitude, she thought he liked spicy food but it turned out to be wrong.
“I am sorry. I will take care in future.”
Yohan Dixon did not reply but turned back to leave but she wanted to ask one more thing.
“Will you return on lunch?”
“No.”
“Oh…”
He stepped ahead to leave and she called him again.
“I…” She quickly bit her lips then turned back and lowered her head. Was it appropriate to ask? Yohan Dixon turned back and looked at her weak back coldly.
“Is there something?”
“Can I use the telephone once?” Her voice was trembling.
“Use it anytime.”
Yohan Dixon left without having any interest and she bit her lips sadly. She was missing her friend Gracie and wanted to talk to her but she did not have a mobile phone and was scared enough to go outside.
…
"President." Assistant Nolan entered holding some documents when Yohan Dixon was smoking while leaning back on his chair leisurely. He did not open his eyes even when Assistant Nolan put the documents on the table and looked at him.
"I have searched everything about her."
"..."
"She is right. Right now, she doesn't have a home to go."
Yohan Dixon smoked in the air and the smoke turned into rings making the silence dangerous.
"Her name is Sara Owen. She was working in that club for one and a half months to pay the bills of her husband."
"..."
"He is Adrian. He is jobless. She had run away from the club when he lost her in gambling to his friends and his friends humiliated her."
Yohan Dixon opened his red and dark eyes and flicked the ash in the ashtray. He had trusted at the first sight that she was not a danger to him.
“Her teachers say that she was intelligent in studies but left her studies to marry a man much older than her.”
Yohan Dixon sighed and stood up from the chair and Assistant Nolan looked at his back in a daze. He did not know what action he was going to be asked for. Yohan Dixon looked out of the glass and placed his palms inside his pockets.
“Go to the Vento University, again.”
Assistant Nolan narrowed his eyes and could not get his motive. Just then, they heard a ring and Assistant Nolan switched the red button on the receiver.
“President, a lunch box has been sent for you.”
...
In the dining room, Yohan Dixon was staring at the lunchbox in a daze. It was an awkward feeling for him. He recalled that day when Samira Reddy once brought a lunch box for him and they had lunch together for the first time.
But today, it was sent by that strange woman, Sara Owen, through his driver. How idiotic! He had been sitting alone in the dining room and the facial expressions were cold but his heart was complicated. He sighed and opened the lid of the box. With this, his breaths filled with the delicious smell of the food.
…
Sara Owen looked at the telephone in front of her. She raised her palm and held the receiver in a daze. After thinking for a moment, she called Gracie, her best friend.
“Hello. Gracie here.”
“Gracie. I am Sara.”
“Sara? You bitch. Where are you? Do you know how worried I am? Can’t you once call me?”
“Gracie, let’s meet and talk.”
It was still afternoon and they had decided to meet in the evening. The driver had returned from the Dixon Group with the empty lunch box and gave it to Sara Owen who was watering the plants on the porch.
“Did he eat, Jack?”
“Yes.”
“Thank you.” Sara Owen sighed and gave him a pleasant smile.
“Madam. Get ready. I am asked to take you to the supermarket.”
“Okay, wait for me for a while.”
Sara Owen brought the card he had given to her and Jack drove to the supermarket.
“Madam.” When he stopped the car, he looked at her from the rear mirror.
“Yes.”
“Please don’t buy ginger for the young master. It doesn’t suit his health.” As soon as she heard his words, she recalled that night when she used ginger in the meal and he vomited. She smiled awkwardly and nodded.
Sara Owen bought many things useful for cooking and cleaning using the card. After the supermarket, he drove to the mall.
“Jack, why did you bring me here?”
“Madam, please buy some sleepers and dresses for you.”
“What?”
Sara Owen became stunned when she came to know that Yohan Dixon had asked Jack for this. She hesitantly looked at the gate of the mall.
“Jack, let’s go to the restaurant. I can’t buy from here.” She did not have money and she was not qualified to purchase things from such a mall that belonged to high society.
They went to the restaurant where Gracie was waiting for Sara Owen.
…
Gracie and Sara Owen were sipping coffee in a restaurant. Gracie was staring at the white car parked out of the restaurant from the glass wall.
"Is he seriously Mr Dixon's driver?" She asked in a trance.
"Can't you see the logo 'Dixon' on the car? Look at his uniform." Sara Owen put the coffee mug on the table and Gracie looked at her with surprise.
"You have gone through a lot in the last days."
Sara Owen looked at the coffee mug in front of her and smiled sadly.
"When he saved me that night, I felt, he is the one and only one who can save me and I didn't think of letting him go. I feel safe with him around me."
"So have you already plan to not to move out of the October villa?"
"Not yet. I am scared that I am weak enough to face Adrian."
"That son of a bitch has already lost you to his friends and I know he is never going to make it up. He is a loser."
Sara Owen did not react and stared at the mug sadly.
"How could you marry such a scoundrel who even bet his wife in gambling? When I went to see you in the club last night, he was banging with a woman. When I asked the manager, he informed me what had happened with you that night. I was scared and if I would haven't gotten your call today, I would have sued your husband."
Sara Owen looked at her angry friend with a slight smile and then held her palm gently.
"I am fine."
"I am grateful to Mr Dixon." Gracie sipped coffee and Sara Owen finally smiled dazzlingly.
Gracie sighed and leaned back on the chair after finishing the coffee.
“Now, what are you going to do?”
“I don’t know. But I have promised him that I will serve him till the end of my life.” She said seriously and Gracie widened her eyes in surprise.
“Is he going to pay?”
“He will give me food and safe shelter to live in. What else do I need?”
“Stupid woman. At least you should have money to buy sanitary pads!”
Sara Owen hasn’t thought about this once! She blinked her eyes and Gracie sighed helplessly.
“Sara, you should ask him to give you your salary.”
“I…”
“Or else find another job.”
“No. I mean I have already asked him that I will be his maid.”
“Then he must pay you. Wait and watch.”
Sara Owen lowered her gaze and looked at the glass of the water in front of her in a daze. He had given her a card for ‘expenses’ but it seemed that she was confused about which expenses he was talking about? Was it for her? Was it for home expenses?
“You stupid women. What are you thinking about?”
“I… Oh No! I should go. I have to cook.”
“When will we meet again?”
“You can call me on that number which I used to call you today.”
“Done.”
They stood up and came to the car where the driver was waiting for Sara Owen.
“Take care, darling. I will miss you.”
“Don’t worry.”
They embraced each other and Sara Owen got in the car. Jack drove her back to the October villa.
It was six o'clock in the evening and the black car was parked in front of the villa which left her nervous. Did he come back early today? She carried the things to the kitchen and he saw her while getting out of the study room. He did not go to help her but stared at her as if he enjoyed her hard work and struggle with the items and their weight. Sara Owen wiped her sweaty forehead from the back of her palm and turned back. Just then, her gaze fell on the man who was standing near the door of the study room. "You came early today. I went to the supermarket. Please wait for a while, I will coo..." Till then, he had reached closer to her and looked at her deeply. She lowered her head while biting her lips. His presence was dangerous for her heart. He lit a cigarette for him and then smoked on her white face. This poor woman didn't know that he has known everything!! "Where are your dresses and sleepers?" His question was straight and she swallowed saliva. "I didn't buy." "Why?" "
When Yohan Dixon arrived at Dixon Group, the secretary was waiting for him to tell her how the things she had purchased for him yesterday were, but expectedly, he did not tell anything and went to his cabin. She sat on the chair after greeting him but Assistant Nolan stopped over there and looked at her with his gentle gaze.“Good morning, Assistant Nolan.” She greeted him with her lovely smile.“Good morning. You did a good job yesterday and the president is quite happy.”“Really? Oh… So nice…” She jumped out of the chair happily. Then she could not suppress her curiosity and looked at Assistant Nolan.“For whom he had purchased so many things? Does he have a girlfriend?”“Aunty, who gifts tampons to his girlfriend?”“Don’t tell me. Did he marry secretly?”“Shut your mouth. He just gifted it to a needy woman. That’s it. Now get back to work.”The secretary looked at his back in a daze and could not sort the thoughts well.…Bruno and Natalie were deeply frustrated because they haven’
“Yes, I am afraid of you.” Sara Owen admitted with courage. “How much...?” Yohan Dixon leaned and his warm breaths fell on her neck making her senses slow. “As much... As much as I didn't even feel that night.” She raised her eyes slowly and looked at him in terror, "When you made that person half dead, then the fear woke me up.” That night, she had seen a different aura of Yohan Dixon, which removed the fear of that incident from Sara Owen's mind but instilled an unknown apprehension for this powerful man. “Then why did you come here with me if you were scared?” “That night… I grabbed your arm to save myself...and could not leave it till now. I don't know why it feels like... I'm safe with you.” Her low voice was trembling. “Will you be able to live in fear with me for the rest of your life?” His voice was cold. She blinked her beautiful eyes, "Yes." “I will not leave until you ask me to leave.” She added courageously even if it was hard to breathe. “What else can you do for
“Hi, Lyla.” Sara Owen smiled hesitantly. Before she could handle her awkwardness, Lyla slapped her and the noise echoed through the giant walls in the lobby. Sara Owen bit her lips and covered her red cheek with her trembling palm while lowering her teary eyes.“Who the hell are you?” Gracie stepped ahead to fight but Sara Owen held her arm and pitifully shook her head. Gracie suppressed her anger for a while.“What was the need to get married if you could not maintain it? Do you even know how long my brother is looking for you? Where are you? Do you live in hell? Sara, go home now and apologize to my brother.” Lyla shouted angrily. It was enough for Gracie to recognize Lyla."Hey! You must be the spoiled sister of that drunkard and gambler. And why is he looking for her? Huh? Doesn't he know why she ran away that night?" Gracie pointed her index finger at Lyla’s ugly nose."You shut up.""I...""Gracie. Let's go." Sara Owen held Gracie’s arm to leave because they had gathered by the
There wasn't any difference between the previous life and this life. She was serving a drunken man earlier also, to pay his debts, she was offering alcohol to drunkards in that club. Even in this phase of her life, the man she was serving was an alcoholic, relentless and quirky. He was not easy to predict. He didn't even know how to smile. The contrast was, that her husband had handed her over to extrinsic men and this extrinsic man had saved her from those men and gave her a safe shelter where she could live life like a woman. Instead, if that extrinsic man used to talk bitterly to her or she has to sleep on his bed, in his room, to make him fall asleep at night, then... She was ready to do it. It was three o'clock at night. A towering and handsome man entered the living room in which, the weak and thin woman was sleeping on the couch while leaning back to it in a red nightgown. His heavy eyes fell on the thin woman and he stopped. His gaze went to the dining hall in which the tab
Yohan Dixon did not see her anywhere until he finished dinner. He chose to go to the bedroom. He washed up and went to the balcony to see her. But tonight, she hadn’t come to walk. He went to the living room because his senses were telling him that something was strange in her behaviour. The thin and weak figure has been sitting in the dining hall and having dinner. He slowly entered and peeked at the dishes. Wasn’t the plate belonged to him? Was she eating his left over? He stepped ahead to check and his smelly aura alerted her. She stood up with her lowered head. “Do you need anything?” Her voice was hoarse and suppressed. She was ignoring facing him. She hadn’t welcomed him with her sweet smile. He looked at her from head to toe for a moment then stepped closer. “I will bring water for you.” She wanted to escape from his gaze. As soon as she turned back, he held her wrist and turned her towards him. She bit her lips and held the back of the chair while hiding her face. “Look a
“Ohh...” Natalie stepped back while covering her mouth and Bruno held her shoulders from behind. “Is it scary?” Bruno did not know why his wife was disturbed. The low movements reached the sharp and alerted ears of Yohan Dixon and he opened his red and solemn eyes. Someone must be at the door. He stood up from the bed and his movements woke her up. “He… He… Ricky and that girl…are sleeping on the bed.” Bruno widened his eyes in astonishment and they got another shock when the door was opened by Yohan Dixon unexpectedly. They both looked at him with their unhappy gaze and he stared at them with his dark eyes. “Bruno, I told you that Ricky is definitely in love with that girl, that's why he is refusing to marry anyone but he had got married already.” Natalie had become courageous after seeing the situation inside the bedroom. “How could you do this to us? You haven’t informed us and got married secretly?” Bruno was out of his mind. “What the hell? What you both are doing here?” He
“He is Adrian.” He threw a giant amount of smoke. Sara Owen did not know how he knew his name but a nervousness appeared in her heart that he would ask her to leave the villa and go to her husband and Adrian was searching for her. “Did you see him?” Yohan Dixon turned back and looked at her with his cold glare which made her lower her eyes as usual. “You should not question back.” His voice was raspy. “Yes. He is my husband.” He looked at her from head to toe then sat on the couch leisurely while smoking. She had held her palms tighter which was showing that she was scared. “Wife should live with her husband.” That's what Sara Owen feared. “I am running away from him because…” She closed her eyes tightly. “He has lost me in gambling and those people are searching for me. I don't want to go to them. I want to save my existence.” She slowly opened her teary eyes and looked at her trembling palms near her stomach. “That night you sheltered me in your house without questioning a
Sara Owen replaced the coffee mug on the table and went to look at the screen. However, after reading the report, there was darkness in the eyes that were bright with hope. The forensic report also revealed nothing. Someone has done something very cleverly. Sara Owen sat on the chair and gazed at the screen with her dried gaze. Her heart tightened due to fear. The memories of that evening were floating in her mind continuously. - “I will burn the whole world.” “Is this all you want?” “I want you.” “I will take care of myself for your sake. Don’t be sad.” “Go to bed. I will come before morning.” - Sara Owen covered her face in her palms and cried as much as she could. Assistant Nolan couldn’t tolerate her yearnings and kept holding his sadness in his heart. The whole world was excited, frightened… Who was that person who dared to kidnap Yohan Dixon? Or… This was not a kidnap. What had happened to Yohan Dixon on that night? The next evening… Sara Owen was standing in front o
"Why Ryan is calling you?" Gracie was confused. "Ryan..." Wiping her tears, Sara Owen picked up the call. "Hi, Sara. I am sorry on behalf of my stupid assistant." "Did you talk to Yohan after last night?" She asked hurriedly. "No. I mean, we both returned in his jet and I went straight to my villa. What's wrong?" "Ryan... He..." Sara Owen lowered her mobile phone and started crying. Gracie snatched her mobile phone. "Ryan, what the hell is going on? Will you tell me?" "Gracie, are you there with Sara? What's going on?" "Come here, right now." Gracie hung up the call angrily leaving Ryan Jenkins confused. She consoled Sara Owen, "Sara, what happened? Did Ryan hurt you?" Sara Owen raised her head and looked at her with tearful eyes. "Yohan..." "What did he do to you? Did he again...?" Sara Owen shook her head and cried. After half an hour... Ryan Jenkins sighed while shaking his head, "This man always terrifies people. He should have at least informed you where he was goin
The car was alone on the road and was at its top speed. While exhaling smoke, he dialled the first number from the list of his incoming calls. The call connected quickly. "On the way." Hearing the opponent, he hung up the call and placed the cigarette between his dark lips. His sharp and dark gaze was straight on the road. ... Placing the bag on the desk, she came to the French window of the bedroom and looked out. The beautiful garden was filled with colourful flowers. She hugged herself and inhaled her tension. Her man had gone somewhere without informing her. He would come before morning. This night would be tough, too. This night will again be spent waiting for him. Maybe it was a spell. Worrying for him, being happy for him, crying for him... She didn't know the meaning of love until she fell in love with her husband. The pure feeling of this love made her understand that she also deserves to be loved. Yohan Dixon, whom people consider to be the coldest and most unsympathe
The man sitting in the backseat of his elegant black car raised his eyebrows. The happiness of his wife was reflected in her sweet voice. "What are you doing?" "I just returned from university. I was going to take a shower." "Without me?" "Yohan" The fire in his heart did not cool down until she blushed. "Did you miss me?" The straight-talking man could not ask why his wife had called him. “How are you?” “Who has the courage to disturb me?” Hearing his arrogant answer, she looked down, “I was worried. I couldn't control myself so... Please forgive me if I disturbed you.” “I was at work.” He did not lie. “You are always busy.” She bit her lips in irritation. “Is this a complaint or a compliment?” The corners of his lips raised slightly. “My heartbeats were scaring me that you are not safe.” Her sad voice made him serious. He could bear everything but not his wife’s sadness. “I didn't want you to come with me.” “I'm not mad.” She smiled sadly. “But, you're sad.” His hea
Along with the vortex of questions in Sara Owen's mind, there was also a flood of worries. Months ago, she was warned by Yohan Dixon not to be seen even around this man. But, today in his absence, she was going to her university in Neel Dixon’s car. Yohan Dixon was already in a bad state of mind regarding Rudra Reddy's suicide and if he finds out about it... The thought of his rage sent shivers down Sara Owen's spine. She hugged her chest. Seeing her tying her arms, Neel Dixon adjusted the air conditioning of the car. “You are feeling cold.” His legislation broke her thoughts. “No...” “Nice to see you after many months. I called you many times but the phone was always switched off.” “Now that phone has turned on.” “Yes, after you came back, everything seems as before.” The tone in his low voice was strange. “Nothing is like before. It has become better than before.” “I missed you a lot. Didn't you ever miss me? I mean, even when uncle had thrown you out of the villa...” “He i
Yohan Dixon exhaled heavily and tossed the cigarette butt into the ashtray. His dynamic aura was surrounded by smoke. He raised his cold gaze to the officers and terrified them with his sharp gaze. "You want to claim that I caused him to die." The police officer was already spooked. Yohan Dixon's keen eyes made him even more afraid. "I'm not accusing you, sir, but..." He interrupted, "But. You didn't even consider who you were going to ask today before coming here." "I apologise, sir. I didn't mean to offend your honour, but... "Again… BUT" Lighting a cigarette for him, he said, "I'm also very much involved in this BUT." "Sir... I'd like to ask you some questions for investigation purposes. Please assist." "Speak." Sitting leisurely on his chair, he exhaled smoke rings in the air blowing the officer's mind. The police officer turned on the recorder and asked. "He called you, according to the call records. What happened in that one-and-a-half minute between you two?" "I can pl
On the top floor of the most expensive private suite of the most expensive hotel room, the private suite was covered in the darkness of a moonless night. A tall man was standing near the railing while sipping whiskey and smoking cigarettes. The coldness spread on his face and in his eyes was deadly. Rudra Reddy did suicide. Why? He had called him. He wanted to talk about something. What did he know? All these questions had created a storm in his mind and were giving him feelings of helplessness and rage. Yohan Dixon threw the glass of whisky, slammed the wine tray on the ground and stumbled on the couch while closing his red eyes. He was angry. He was so much mad at Rudra Reddy. If the man would have been alive, he would have strangled him to death and asked him about the whole matter. The foolish coward man could not talk to him once. He should have talked to him properly. He should have waited for him. He gripped the cigarette in his palm carelessly. Ryan Jenkins opened the doo
The next morning was a hurdle. Bruno Dixon was discharged and taken to Dixon villa safely. Natalie was completely broken down due to her husband’s poor health. The family was in shock. Dressed in a brown suit and black shirt, Yohan Dixon looked attractive. His dark and senseless gaze was straight at his uncle, who was unable to speak about what had happened to him last. Sara Owen looked at her husband’s dismal face and placed her palm on his back. His cold gaze turned deep when he looked at his wife. Her pure and slim smile touched his heart. Gripping her wrist, he got her out of the bedroom. "Did you sleep well last night?" Wrapping his long arms around her thin waist, he asked. "I did. But it seems you did not sleep well." His eyes were dark. He kept staring at her pretty face and she kept playing with his collar. “I will drop you.” She hesitated. Looking into his eyes, she said, “Yohan… I can’t leave aunty. She is…” “You should go, darling.” A broken and low voice entered th
In the study room, the lights were off. A shadow of the long man was reflecting on the carpet. He was standing in front of the glass wall placing both his palms inside his well-stitched black pants. His face was hidden in the darkness of the night. The moon was trying to peek inside the room but only could reach his masculine chest. Black room, black night and black suit. Everything was black including the ashes of his burnt heart. Once who used to be carefree, this man had now become like a mannequin in which there were no tears left so that he could cry over his meaningless and hollow life. He closed his red and swollen eyes so that he could let go of his memories. But even after doing this, he did not get peace. Now that face was visible to him, with whom he had committed the crime of loving a lot. She was smiling beautifully in his psyche. Her sweet and heart-touching voice started echoing in his ears. -Rudra- Seeing her, he always felt that he was connected with that woman fro
