Dravens P.O.V
Rage. Rage is what I feel as mine and my brother's small army rip the limbs from the bodies of these savages. Their army greeted us at a northern shore we had landed on, casting magic to take out only a small handful of my warriors however after their casting they were to exhausted to participate in combat, my people had the upper hand. We are faster and more violent, their spells spun past us in an array of colors as they try to make one land on us but we are quick and dodge most with ease. "Leave at least one alive!" I command as my wolves rip the witches to shreds "why Brother?" Demanded Mordrid with his black eyes now piercing me with irritation
"Because Mordrid, I want one of these cowards to relay a message to the king and queen of this land, they will know we are coming for our revenge to take what is rightfully ours. They destroyed our families and ancestors, I plan to do the same and I want them to cower in fear as we burn our way across their precious territory." I spat back at him. Suddenly my lead in command Joshua approached me then throws a small skinny man covered in his own blood, to my feet. He began to sob grotesquely as I made myself eye level with him.
I then spoke slowly and deeply "Tell me about your rulers soldier " the man began to stutter "M..my king and Queen are merciful and kind, they love all and will defend our land with great bravery!"
"Oh really!?" My voice boomed "Then tell me, where is your brave king and Queen now huh!" The man flinched and then spoke, trying to sound confident through his cowardly demeanor "They are attending the wedding of their daughter, princess Anna-Leigh she is being married to prince Colby to create an alliance providing us with thousands of soldiers to wipe you monsters from our lands!" I stiffened slightly, with that many soldiers my men wouldn't stand a chance to spite our strength, we would need reinforcements and it could take months for them to arrive across the angry ocean in which we barley made it across safely ourselves.
"My Lord, what shall I do with this wretch." Questioned Joseph, I then looked deep into the eyes of this puny warlock and spoke slowly so he wouldn't miss a word.
"You go tell your precious king and queen that we are coming and we will destroy all of their precious kingdom." I then grabbed him by the shirt and shoved him away watching him stumble and then gain his ground and start sprinting away as fast as he could.
I then ordered my pack to wrap it up and make camp. My brother and I had to devise a plan to somehow survive this war with my several hundred soldiers against their possible thousands.
I wanted revenge. This beautiful and fruitful land used to belong to my people, my great grandparents. Then a witch came along and in her selfishness wanting full control of all of the land she exiled us to another land one we call Deansford then casting a curse on us turning my people from simple farmers, humans, into shape shifters, into wolves. We was forced to Deansford, across a freezing and unforgiving ocean with nothing but snow and ice. It was freezing cold and food was scarce.
My people have suffered just because that witch wanted this large and bountiful land all to herself and her people. Little did she know that her turning us into wolves is what helped us survive the harsh winters and allowed us the strength and agility to catch the fast moving and sometimes deadly game in which we had to eat and use to survive.
Now we are back and we are taking back what belonged to us or die trying.
Camp was now set up, men sat inside their tents and next to fires cooking meals from the abundance of deer, squirrels and berries that roamed lazily across the lands. Hunting for food has never been this easy. Others were tending to their wounds which wouldn't take long to heal due to the surprisingly quick regeneration abilities our wolves provided us.
As I sit inside of my tent I try to brainstorm on ideas that could possibly save our lives as well as give us our land back, give my people the right to survive and live a simpler life because what we all have had to live through has been hell, many of our young die from the cold and sometimes starvation due to the mother's not being able to produce milk from sometimes not being able to eat a decent meal for weeks at a time a punishment we never deserved.
I look up and see Mordrid walking into my quarters holding a metal pan with a large piece of venison cooked to perfection, I am not going to lie I could get used to having food on hand at all times like this. It will also provide my men with the nutrients we need to regain our strength. "Eat brother" demands Mordrid "don't mind if I do." I reply quickly grabbing the plate and begin to scarfe down the large piece of meat. After I am done I look at my brother with concern "If that warlock was correct these people could have thousands of soldiers waiting to slaughter us all. Our cause will be lost with our lives if we do not think of a rational plan." I say pinching the bridge of my nose out of frustration "Perhaps we should lay a trap for them, we should pick a area for our battle to take place, then create boar traps; large ones so when they begin to charge us we can take out a large number of their front lines then I say we have our archers gather what they need to pick off others from a distance and perhaps even have them hide in the trees and begin to pick them off one by one. That will deplete their numbers drastically giving our men a chance to change and rip the rest to shreds." "Sounds like a pretty good plan Draven, however we will still loose many of our men. Perhaps we should also find a way to make them use their charms and spells, once we exhaust them the victory will also be achieved with less of our lives lost." Mordrid stated. "Yes you are right, if only their was another way to prevent any loss of our lives at all but I know a victory will not come without cost." I state, trying to brainstorm the best way possible to approach our situation. As I am lost in thought Mordrid jumps up in excitement nearly hitting his head on the poles holding up my tent, his dark eyes gleaming. Any type of war and murder exited him. Though he was my younger brother he was known for his large stature, piercing black eyes and his cruelty twords those he was to face in combat. Our father was not a gentle man and that affected Mordrid greatly, honestly if it came down to it I'm sure he would slaughter even me his own brother, he is ruthless. "I have a perfect plan to prevent hardly any loss of life on our end." He almost yelled, the weels in his head turning as he announced his idea "oh yeah?" I ask curiously.
"Yes! Remember how the soldier stated very clearly that the king and queen had United he rest of their people through the marriage of their daughter? Well that very daughter would prove to be quite valuable to both the king as well as the husband who would be providing more troops to aid them in their war against us BUT." He paused with a wicked grin stretching across his features "What if this princess was removed? What if we took her and held her for ransom and only return her for riches and land, then after we get what we want and have all of our people and armies back to our rightful territory we can completely destroy their disgusting species." He was beaming with the thought. "And how do you propose we get our hands on this princess, she lives in a fortress and we have no clue what she even looks like" I stated. "See I thought of that as well" he paused "She was just married to a prince and surly she'll be relocated to his home. We send scouts to watch the kingdom and when her and her precious prince go to their new home together we will attack wile their numbers are limited and we take her." I looked at my brother with his devilish smile, satisfaction clear on his face due to his brilliant plan "You are terrifying when it comes to war Mordrid." I state casually
"I agree that is a very good plan, we will put it into action immediately. JOSHUA! you and some of our scouts go to the kingdom. Find out when the princess and her new prince relocate to his palace, when they are vulnerable is when you and your men will strike. You are to kill their soldiers but anyone of the royal family is to not be touched except the princess, she is to be taken prisoner. You will also need a clear description of her so you don't grab the wrong girl. We have one shot at this, do not fail me. Also do not harm her in anyway, understand soldier?" I command. "Yes alpha, I will take my best men. We will not screw this up." He then saluted me and walked away looking for the men who would assist him in the deed. I felt a wave of satisfaction run through me, our plan is now fail proof. I will finally be able to give my people the life they deserve, and abundance of land, food, fresh water and no longer watch our young freeze to death or starve. Its all coming together nicely.

Chapter 6. EncounterAnna-leigh's P.O.V.
I stormed off into the woods, angry at my brother's words even though I knew he was right. They echoed in my ear "she is a hostage and you need to treat her as such, if you go soft for her this entire plan, all of our people have suffered and died for nothing. Don't let this wench enchant you brother!" I was angry when I spoke back to him "I will not mistreat her and she is not to know what she is here for, not right now she is in pain." Mordrid then became mad and threw his plate down and stormed off. I walked off until I had made my way to a small clear stream close by, I
I stood outside of Mordrid's tent, dreading the rage I was about to stir up in him with my change of plans. Mordrid hates changing things, especially if it is going to cost him the revenge he was so dead set on getting as was I, up until I met Anna. I walked into the tent to find him lying on his cot with his hands behind his head. "Thinking of Clair huh?" I stated casually as I sat on a small chair next to his bed. He looked at me with a smirk "yes, she is always on my mind." I let out a sigh "Brother, you aren't going to like this but it is necessary. We will be changing our course of action, we aren't going to war. I

Colby. It's been days since I sent my rider to inform the soft king and Queen about there little daughters demise, my plan was beginning to work out perfectly. Unfortunately though I needed to be much more powerful. My father and his father before him and so forth has planned a
Anna-Leigh We traveled for what seemed like forever, only stopping to feed and water the horses and then continue on our way. According to Joshua we should arrive at my castle in two days time. Draven still hasn't spoken to me and though I know it was best it still hurt a little. I was undeniably attracted to that man and no matter what somehow my thoughts kept coming back to him and the way he kissed me back in the meadow. I sighed, Joshua must have heard and he quickly asked "what's wrong princess" with a concerned frown. He was such a sweet boy, he was my age but he was quite large with very man-like features peeping through his rust colored hair, his eyes a soft chocolate brown. "I'm fine." I smiled genuinely back at him and he returned it with a large toothy grin that made me happy inside. Throughout the day I learned to enjoy his company and his stories about his home, his mother and the hopes of one day finding his mate. I couldn't help but feel warmth at how excited he was to
My eyes fluttered open to find myself back inside of my tent. I sat up and looked around, what happened? Then the haunting memory hit me. Draven had told me that my parents were dead and I was going to leave. I fought him off but then he placed his fingers on my throat rendering me unconscious. My eyes welled up with tears, my parents weren't dead, it wasn't possible. They would never take their own lives, it was a trick. Colby must have them hostage somewhere and be claiming that they are dead. Anger filled my body like boiling water, I can't believe that Draven would prevent me from going to them. I had to get to my mom and dad, to see with my own eyes, with or without the masculine man who made my heart skip a beat. The fear that coursed through me made it hard to breathe, where was my little brother and even the bigger question, how did the prince manage to over power the ruthlessness of my mother and father, they were a force to be reckoned with when need be. I had to go home ton
Chapter 20. Lost hopeAnna. I cried for what felt like hours, I felt like I was being punished but I wasn’t sure what I had done to deserve such a terrible fate. In the end I will have lost everyone I have ever loved. I couldn’t help but wonder if I would meet my parents in the afterlife once my sacrifice was done, will my baby be with me or would it simply disappear since it’s so tiny. Thoughts of life after death began to haunt me, I suppose I had been holding onto hope that if not in this life then in death I would get to meet mine and Dravens child. I could feel the tears try to return and I quickly wiped them away. My heartbreak was devastating enough as it was but knowing that Draven would be hurt dearly for this ate away at me even more, I finally decided that Draven will never know of this child, the pain of my death could be too much for him, I didn’t even want to try to imagine how he would feel If he knew his baby was killed as well. So Draven would never know. The a
Anna Leigh Panic swept throughout my body, I could feel and hear the blood rushing in my ears like roaring water as thunderous sounds crashed around me in a sea of explosions, I could feel the heavy gulps of breath my lungs fought for, the bile in my throat was making it hard to focus. The chaos around me sent a shiver of dread all the way to my toes, the bodies of people littered the icy ground, rivers of blood flowed free as a fountain throughout the battle field. My stomach began to lurch trying to force out its contents from the sight of the mangled dead all over the ground. The air was thick with the smell of burning steel and flesh along with the sickening metallic aroma from freshly spilled blood. Looking around frantically for Draven was my first task in this sea of misery and chaos but he was
Draven.I stood in front of the feisty redhead before me, her belly swollen. My brain Couldn't wrap around the fact that she was pregnant, even less so when she stated that the child was mine. How is this possible? Sheepskin had always been my protector during love making but for some reason my ex lover was pregnant with my child. In my shame I turned without speaking a word. I know I should have but I just couldn't, Anna had just been through so much trama. To let her know that I had conceived another child would destroy everything her and I had worked for. I felt lost and helpless to spite that those from my pack looked to me for guidance… I neglected my duties as alpha to deal with my personal problem. I failed as a leader and as the rest of the long cold night passed I sat wondering how I woul

Anna-LeighI woke sore but more comfortable than I had ever been, the large muscular man lay cuddled warmly up against my back. I shifted a bit to realize that both of us were completely nude, I smiled a faint smile of satisfaction. I had been denying the connection I felt with Draven from the moment I met him, I believed it was ungodly and forbidden for me to love a wolf but now I no longer cared. Everything and everyone had been taken from me and now with the knowledge the flower sprites bestowed
I could hear the leaves crushing under Joshua's large paws as he sprinted. We were out of time and yet both of us was determined to get to Draven, we weren't going to give up. He was a wolf so just maybe he could hang on a little longer than the average person.I clung to the vile of blood and the mesmerizing book with one hand and ahold of Joshua with the other, I could feel the temperature in the air change and shivers ran down my body.
Dravens P.O.VThe closer we came to our camp the more excruciating the pain had become. Every now and then I let out a groan and my brother would give me a worried look, his wolves yellow eyes filled full of concern. I leaned down getting a better grip on my brother's fur and trying to hold tight to the unconscious angel in my arms.
