If there is one thing that I know about trauma is that; too much trauma can sneak up on you at the worst of times. When you think everything is going well and nothing can stand in your way and you've got a handle on everything the slightest trigger could set you off in the worst of ways.

I still have nightmares about the day I was thrown in the river. I don't think Dexter acted alone when he attacked me. If Max was having memories of the person who he thought was his father throwing bodies into the river, then I think Dexter was working together with Jeremiah to get back at Max.
