POV Lilly
We met the others downstairs. I could see that Jasmine was as excited as I was to see our old friends but the rest of the group just looked worried. I could feel the anxiety rolling off them. I exchanged a look with Jasmine and we both sighed.
"Is that everyone?" Skol asked.
We all looked around and I did a mental count.
"Yep. We're all here." Nik announced.
"Okay. Remember, nobody goes off alone. Protect each other no matter what. If things go sideways, meet back at the airport, agreed?" Skol continued making a point to look at Penny, Mom and me.
We all agreed and then piled into the limos again. As
POV LillyThe ride back to the hotel is quiet as we all seemed caught up in our own thoughts. We said our good nights in the lobby and Griffin and I shared an elevator with Cedric, Jasmine, and Dolph."Dad want's us to meet for breakfast at nine back in the lobby." Griffin told us as we waited for the elevator to reach our floor. Luckily, Skol was able to rent out this whole floor for all of us. Pack warriors were stationed at the elevators and stairwells. Speaking of, a few warriors met us and one walked Griffin and I to our room while another did the same for Jasmine and Cedric. Another tried to do the same for Dolph but he waved him off.Griffin unlocked our door and the warrior went in to check the room. I leaned against the wall in the hallway and Griffin caged me in with his arms. I looked at him and he just stared at me. It was unnerving. His eyes were dark and while a casual observer would think that h
POV LillyGriffin and I finished dressing. I wore a slightly more formal black gown and he wore a suit. I just loved the way he looked in a suit. I finished with my hair and makeup and turned to him. He grinned at me and pulled me to him by my waist. "How are you more beautiful every time I see you?" he whispered.I moaned at his line but still felt the butterflies in my stomach. He chuckled and kissed me softly. I pulled him closer and things were about to get heated when there was a knock on our door. Griffin growled as I pulled away but went to check the door."What do you want?" he asked as
POV GriffinAs soon as we found the source of the smells, I knew it was a setup. There was blood splashed everywhere and dead rogues tossed around but they had all been dead for quiet a while. Hours, maybe even days. Someone had staged this for the scent. I mind linked with Dolph, Theo, Penny and the others to warn them as I rounded to look at Evan. I was about to accuse him of being involved but he looked just as confused and then panicked as I did. {Griff?} Penny answered.{This is a set up} I began.{Shit. Griff!} she called but then is silent. "I can't link Alyssa!" Evan said to me in a panic.Alyssa, something about her has been bothering me all night but I can't put my finger on it and I haven't had the time to think on it.I kept trying to link the others as my panic rose. I exchanged a look with Dad and can tell that he's doing the same. We don't waste a moment in turning around a
POV GriffinI've never felt so helpless in my life. My mate bond isn't working. I have no idea why. I couldn't sense Lilly at all. At first, we thought it was because Lilly was knocked out but now I'm not sure. It's alarming to say the least. I keep hoping that she's just knocked out longer since she's both werewolf and witch but Dad can't feel Rose either and that worries us both. In a strange twist of fate, Lance the human is our only hope right now. The doctors were wrong about the werewolves waking before the humans. Whatever silver these assholes are using, it's potent."How could you have a contact with the Coven?" Dad demanded after Lance waved off the doctors and took a sip of water.Lance took a deep breath and looked over at the bed next to him that contained Theo."Will he be okay?" Lance asked with a look of panic."He will be fine. Now spill." Nik replied."I haven
POV GriffinLance called his Grandmother as soon as we handed him a phone. After explaining the situation, Lance handed the phone over to Dad. Dad spoke with her for a few minutes outside in the hallway and came back shaking his head. "Your Grandma is something else, Lance." he smirked."That she is." Lance agreed with a chuckle.Skol turned to the rest of us."The rebel witches were already planning to save Rose and Iris. Jericho isn't selling Jasmine or Lilly for some reason. They were going to attack as the Coven traveled back with them but the rebels didn't have much hope of winning. They are more than happy to accept our assistance and attack at the pick
POV JasmineI heard my mother's scream for Lilly as my Aunt Rose was working at freeing me. She was having a hard time with my shackles. I looked over in horror to see Lilly fall down as Chance opened his eyes and I knew what she had done. She had done what we had warned her over and over about. I gasped at the blood coursing down her cheeks from her eyes. She had used the last of her magic to save Chance. She was dying. My mother looked over at me as she caught Lilly and my mom smiled and nodded with a look of peace. Mom grabbed Lilly and whispered something. I saw light flash between them and my mother slump down. I looked on in horror as my Mother gave Lilly all her magic in one second. I knew that if we didn't reach her in a few seconds, there would be nothing we could do. Her face was already covered in tears of blood."Rose! Take care of my child!" Mom yelled as Rose finally got me fre
POV LillyI was in a daze. I had no idea what was going on any longer. I remembered finishing with Curtis and then crying over Aunt Iris. Then Griffin picked me up and I just let go. I knew that he would keep me safe so I tuned out. When I came to, we were in a room in Evan's pack house sitting on a bed and Griffin was washing blood off my face with worry in his eyes. He gently rubbed my face with the cloth, wringing the water and blood from it occasionally into a bowl on the nightstand."There, that's better, right, baby?" he whispered and I nodded, my eyes clearing. He gave a sigh of relief when I made eye contact with him."There you are." he breathed and p
POV GriffinI spent most of the night watching over Lilly as she slept in my arms. I couldn't stop holding or looking at her yet. Part of me still didn't believe that she was here and alive and safe. I buried my face in her neck gently to not wake her.I was still upset about how she saved Chance. I was trying to let it go but part of me was livid that she made that choice. That she sacrificed herself. My wolf half was frustrated with her and so was I but we knew that there was nothing we could do about it. We had to move forward and we had to heal.Jasmine, Rose and Lilly were safe and unharmed but in body only. Emotionally and mentally, they were broken. I still don't know that whole story of the what happened in the basement. I know that some of Evan's pack me
POV LillyI groaned as I woke up and looked around to see Griffin smiling down at me. All the memories from the night before came back and I blushed as he smirked and chuckled."How are you feeling?" he drawled and I glared at him."Sore?" he guessed and I nodded.I looked down to see that I had Griffin's boxers and tank on since we had run to the bathroom before sleeping. He quickly slipped on his pants."Let's go eat." I suggested."Okay but you should at least put on your bra." he recommended and I realized that he was right.
POV LillyI woke up to see Griffin sleeping soundly next to me, arms wrapped protectively around my waist. I smiled at him, admiring his handsome features. I knew he was awake when a moment later, he made a ugly face at me and pulled me into my chest."You sleep okay, baby?" he whispered into my hair and I nodded."Good." He looked at me and sighed."I know today is going to be difficult. Just please know that I will always be here for you. You and your family are not alone." He said."Thanks, Griff." I whispered and he grinned.I unwrapped his arms an
POV GriffinAfter we changed and got ready, Dad, Dolph, Nik, Theo, Penny and I piled into the limo. We picked up Cedric and Ember at the coven house and then stopped to get Lance at his house. Chance and Evan weren't going to make it to the dinner but they said would be joining us in the morning. As we headed to pick up Lilly, Jasmine and Rose, we looked at each other."So we need to watch over these three at all times this weekend. This is a lot for them to deal with along with so many coming to mourn with them. It's bound to be overwhelming. I know that we are all grieving but they are feeling so much more than any of us. We have to be there for them and for each other, agreed?" Dad began and we all nodded."I'm going to be honest, I have no idea what to expect during the ceremony or celebration. It's their ritual and we must honor and respect it. It's fine if we don't want to participate but we must be respectful no matter what" h
POV LillyAfter dinner, we packed up and left. Hugging all our new and old friends good bye even though we would see them all in less than a week. The trip home was uneventful and the rest of the week passed quickly.Jasmine and I were excused from school due to the death in our family. The other's went and were busy the rest of the time with preparations for Iris's funeral. Despite all that needed to be done, Griffin, Cedric and Skol spent every night at our house. They also provided bodyguards for us at all times, whether we wanted them or not. We had one vamp and two werewolves with us always. It was annoying but they did their best not to bother us.We spent the first part of the week making the potions needed for Iris's ceremony and gathering the pr
POV GriffinI was beyond pissed, I was livid. How dare this mutt try to take my mate! I loved Lilly and no one could stand between us. I was already enraged with Chance over Lilly almost dying for him but now? Now, I was going to tear him apart. I might let him live for Lilly's sake but you better believe that he was in for a world of hurt.I looked over at Lilly as Chance approached and felt sorry for her. This was a terrible situation for her. I was sorry that it had come to this but I also knew that it needed to be done. In a way, I was relieved when Chance challenged me. At least now we could get it all out in the open.I knew that he wanted my mate. I knew from the second I saw him look at her. The fact that she saved him just made him want her more, especia
POV LillyI was surprised to hear that we needed to discuss the Blood Venom pack. I had assumed that the pack was completely wiped out. Unfortunately, I was out voted and we had to go have lunch before it could be discussed. I sighed, knowing that Griffin was going to be a pain in my ass about eating something.I wasn't trying to be difficult, I just wasn't in the mood to eat. Could you blame me with everything I had gone through? I knew that Griffin was right, though. I didn't need to get weak or sick, especially now. I sighed as I sat next between Griffin and Dolph. Dolph. That was another issue. What was that all about? Why was he so attached to me? Why did I feel safer and calmer around him? It was all too much. Lunch was a quiet and tension filled event. As
