Allie's POV

"Allie," Aaron called again.

I spun around triumphantly and used the sharp tip of my finger to pinch my other arm with the hope that I was hallucinating. Unfortunately, he was here, his huge figure standing at the gate. I should have known that someone might be sent to come pick me up, but I never predicted that it would be Aaron himself.

I guess his millions of dollars are worth it.

"Aaron," I whispered nervously while scratching my neck.

"Long time, no see" I greeted dumbly, unable to recognize my voice because of how frightened and anxious I was. I kept fiddling with my hands while Aaron made dominating footsteps towards me. I froze at the spot. He stopped when it was merely a hairsbreadth between us.

"Was he trying to hug me?" I wondered. I was surprised that he moved that close to me. He used to scrunch his face in disgust at my appearance. I took a step backward to give space between us.

"Do you know how worried I.. we were?" he questioned and hastily grabbed me to himself when he detected that I was about to take another step backward.

My whole body went cold from the body contact. Where is the promise I made not to be intimidated by him ever again? I wiggled my arm from his grasp, but he didn't let go. He was determined not to release me, but I was more relentless in his demand. Not anymore.

I folded my arms and stood straight with a squeezed face while impatiently tapping my leg on the pavement. I am very sure I look like a stubborn 12-year-old, but I don't care.

He chuckled at my expression instead.

"Do I look humorous?" I pondered inwardly. I was battling with my inner and outer expression, but I knew deep down that I just wanted to cry myself to sleep and forget about everything that happened today.

"You don't look like someone who was just captured" Aaron muttered, skimming his eyes around my face and then my body shamelessly.

"Do they write it on their faces that they were captured? "I hissed, feeling fatigued as I separated my hands from each other.

"Are you working as a con now? Who knows, you might have planned it with them. Considering how much of a clown they were" He doubted, staring at my abode in disgust.

How crude! Typical Pompous Aaron.

I desperately wanted to say this directly to him.

Aaron wanted to say something but he got interrupted by his ringing phone.

"Aaron! How was it? Did you get a hold of those good-for-nothing beings?" Mrs Smith cursed breathlessly. That is a first. I bowed my head in guilt. She must have been so worried.

"Common Mum! I already mentioned earlier that I don't want this issue to escalate," Aaron enunciated sternly.

"What about Allie? Is she alright? Did they touch her?" Mrs Smith bombarded him with questions and I scratched my forehead in an awkward shame at her question of the kidnappers touching me. As if he just realised something, he stared at me and I nodded my head in response.

"She's fine mother" Aaron breathed in relief.

"Can you hand over the phone to her please?" His mother insisted.

"We will be at home in the next hour," Aaron sighed.

"Alright then" I heard her say before hanging up.

"Let's go" Aaron urged me.

"Hun" I replied with a raised eyebrow feigning ignorance, even though I knew that was the main reason he was here.

"You aren't deaf right?" he groaned, already fed up with me.

"I am not going with you. Leave me alone!" I protested.

"Did they touch you?" he asked callously out of nowhere.

"No"

"What If they did?" I challenged myself open-mindedly.

"They wouldn't dare," Aaron replied coldly. His expression completely changed in the blink of an eye.

"What if they did? I see you are confident about that" I questioned again not even minding my subconscious mind remembering when the two kidnappers were bargaining to take advantage of me.

"It's obvious those people aren't professionals. They just need the cash. I warned them too" he proclaimed proudly about his tactics

I was about to go inside my apartment before he closed the space between us and carried me in his strong arms. "Leave me alone!" I exclaimed while wiggling my legs in every direction.

"Don't be an ungrateful young lady. If it wasn't for Mother, I wouldn't be here. I am sure you know that" he said as he opened the back seat.

Aaron made sure I was settled enough before he gave Richard, his chauffeur a go-ahead.

"Yours or Mr Smith's boss?" Richard asked.

"My parents" he replied simply.

Richard was about to ignite the car before I panicked. I realised that I had left my kitty behind.

"Can I at least bring" Blue" with me? "I pleaded.

"Who is Blue? " Aaron asked furiously.

"My cat"

"Where is he?"

"Go and check if there is a Kitty," Aaron said, facing Richard and shunning me in the process.

"Sure boss"

I rolled my eyes as silence descended when Richard left.

"What were you doing out late at night? "Aaron questions.

I refused to respond, trying to prove stubborn with my arms wrapped together regardless that I was shaking inside.

Aaron looked at me with a questionable gaze while patiently waiting for me to react or answer, but I obliged.

"I found her shrouded up behind the small garden," Richard declared.

Aaron nodded his head in acknowledgment as he raised his hands towards Richard to carry "Blue" before handing her to me.

"Let's set in motion Richard," Aaron said hurriedly.

"Sure boss. "

~~~As expected, Aaron's mother was present outside the villa patiently waiting for our arrival.
Richard had to drive to the building car park before we could alight from the car. I tiredly walk towards her while she impatiently pulls me into a warm embrace.
"Oh dear. I warned you concerning the location you chose to settle in, didn't I? " she inquired in that motherly voice of hers.
I never realized how much I missed her till now.
"I am sorry Mother" I apologized.
"Are you alright?" Mrs Smith questioned while surveying her eyes all over my body with concern laced in her voice.
I intentionally stared at Aaron who had stood there listening to us. He rolled his eyes when he caught a glimpse of my eyes on him. He scrunched up his nose like he was displeased by our display but before I could react back, Mrs Smith gestured her hands towards the entrance for us to go in. She made sure I was relaxed on the soft sofa in the large living room.
"Have you had your dinner? So I can call Beatrice to give you those extraordinary massages of hers?" She suggested while caressing my hands.
"I had my dinner before going out for a stroll earlier. And.....about the massage, I will pass. I just need a snooze. You know.....to relax myself. I am fine, trust me Mother" I reassured.
"Alright dare, I understand but you still need to.."
"Mum, what about Dad?" Aaron cut in and I was kinda thankful for that.
"He is in his room. He is slowly responding to his medications" Mrs. Smith replied while adjusting her legs to face Aaron.
"The doctor said he just needs a lot of rest for now. I just hope he will be alright" She said, her eyes bored in sadness. I plumbed myself to get closer to her and embrace her in a heartwarming hug. She stiffed at first before relaxing in my arms.
Two weeks ago, I got the news that Mr Smith had a cardiac arrest. Even though Aaron was on a business trip, he had to rush back home according to what Mrs Smith told me.
It was the same week my boss started acting weird towards me. I just hope he will consider our once-close relationship and call me back to work. Oh God! I am so anguished for him to do that.
Mrs Smith and I hugged for a few minutes before Aaron announced his departure. "I am leaving" he declared openly before slamming the door.
"Be careful son" Mrs Smith whispered, but it was only audible to me.
    Allie's POV Mrs Smith decided to disentangle from the hug for me to settle into my old space which has already been cleaned by the house help. She insists that I should visit Mr Smith in his room tomorrow forenoon. I grabbed the towel and walked into the bathroom for a refreshing shower. It took me a while to leave the bathtub. I walked back into my room contemplating on what colour of nightdress to put on. I decided to go with my favourite lacquer, which is blue. I suddenly remember my little kitty. Roaming my eyes around the room, I saw him wrapped up behind the dressing table. I guess one of the maids might have brought him into the room. I signed in solace, then used a finger to lose my towel from the tip. I walked towards the huge mirror that hung like a chandelier but just above my dressing table to check myself out. "What if those people touched me like they thought they would have?" I shivered at the thought. "I don't think I would survive it and my boss, Oh good Lord,
    Allie's POV I shifted closer to Mr. Smith, eyebrows furrowed together. Perplexed and curious about what this sneaky man could be up to. He cleared his throat one more time before he spoke up. "I want you to convince Aaron to get married. To have even at least a girlfriend. Just a lady that could be by his side" "I don't get what you are trying to say, " I said, shaking my head sideways, incompetent at accumulating everything at once. "I want you to talk to him, or perhaps get him someone for him to date." The elderly man repeated in a pleading tone. "You want me to persuade him to get a woman? A lady to be called his? I raised my possibly wrinkled eyebrows at him for him to acknowledge my questions, hoping I misheard him "Yeah..h" Mr.Smith breathed and smiled. "Yeah!?     Allie's POV I was not patient for him to finish his sentence before sauntering out of the room with a thudding heart. Aaron did not skip to give me that suspicious glare that made him cut off whatever he was about to let out, but I made sure I eavesdropped to hear his first utterance. I huddled my left ear to the wicket, my butt pointed north side after I had made sure no one is moving towards the passageway just then, I heard him holler at his father "Why did you refuse to use your medications?! Are you planning to kill yourself? " I huffed at his rudeness. Spoilt brat! Till today, I still don't have any idea why these two, father and son don't seem to get along. It's a quizzical and logical something which I got no answers to. I puffed out, relieved that he did not hear a dim of our conversation. Although my heart was still whipping non-stop, my clarification made my breathing subside a little. I thought I had passed through moments of being a scary cat for this man, gue
"What! you are not trying to say that I should live in the same building as you? Are you? " she asked, with eyes almost popping out of its socket hoping that was not the message he was trying to convey. "What's wrong with that? and by the way, that wasn't my intent, but mum thinks it's safer if you live with me" he mumbled, rolling his eyes but he knew deep down he just lied against his mother. Her face hunkered up. She scoffed in incredulity that Mrs.Smith had intended to make her stay with Aaron. Aaron of all people! This had better be some kind of quip. She pressed her hands on her lap and folded her lips in themselves like someone who was trying to quell herself from lashing out their frustration. She was discerned not to give in to this certain whiff of theirs even if it was practically suggested by Mrs.Smith as Aaron supposed. She recalled tho
It took me some minutes to remember that I had taken my siesta in a room different from mine.I groaned and reluctantly stood up. I was as famished as someone who hadn't eaten for days. I dragged my feet out of the room staring at the building having no idea where to find the kitchen. Nevertheless, I decided to wander around if I could get any clue. I successfully found the magnificent cooking space after some time. I used a few minutes to contemplate whether to make Aaron's food with mine then I decided to go with my compassionate mind and cook for him too I settled for mashed potato since that was the only ingredient I found. I left his potion in the stakes. Not even bothering to engage in food etiquette, I sauntered towards the living room and
    I puffed out air abruptly feeling frazzled, but I did a good job composing myself. I traipse forward, dragged the chair backwards, and sat on it. I handed over my credentials to him without reluctance when he asked for them while he watched my movement like he was tracking down another way to slur me. I did not give him the prospect as I kept an emotionless face combined with a grim smile trying not to convey a rude self. I noticed a smirk plastered on his face from the side of my eye. It made my heart swell in anger. I dislike the way he makes me feel like he knows what is going through my mind. I have no reason to be mad at him but I felt entitled to that emotion after he ditched me all alone in that huge house. Maybe I was overreacting. I adjusted the waistband of my skirt even though it was unwarranted. I was becoming nervous with the way he was taking a long time to ask questions. "I don't want to" I declined again as I followed him into the elevator. "Then what do you want?!" he yelled, his ocean-blue eyes boring into mine. I shivered backwards in fright. I knew I was behaving like I am sort of attached to him but did he have to react that way? "You don't have to be grumpy though" I mumbled, adjusting the bag on my shoulder.     Five years later~~~~~~ Allie's POV"Oh mummy, it seems I will be going with the James family." My little girl, Kylie announced impatiently in her tiny voice as she walked into the room. Aaron and I quickly feigned alright. We hurriedly separated from each other and I shoved my gown down. "Wait for me, honey. Just a few more minutes" I appealed and sauntered towards the mirror to redo my smooched make-up. "Try to understand me, mummy. If I have to wait for the third time for you to retouch your makeup…, then I will surely be replaced and all my effort will be in vain." She pointed out smartly. I sigh and honed an accusing stare at Aaron. He winked and shrugged his shoulders. "Mummy understands you. Therefore, you can go with the James family, baby. Also, let Jeff (the chauffeur)escort you. I will wait for mummy while she redo her makeup and of course, mummy and I will meet you at the reception my little bride " Aaron urged and I could see a haunting smirk on his face immediately
  • His woman, his addiction   Bliss
    Allie's POV I flinched at a screeching loud voice and flickered my pudgy eyes severely to adapt to my surroundings. Weak is an understatement for my condition. I shook my head and eventually snapped my eyes open to meet different eyes watching me. One was that of a doctor who was relieved from my awakening, another was Mr Smith who had an edgy expression and the last was Mrs Smith who looked evidently agitated and gloomy. Her face indicates that she had been crying for as long as I could presume. The doctor came to my aid in a sitting position. I hung my head down and clasped my hands together if I could recall my last moment and it began to make insight. Aaron? Kiara? The media? I began to flutter and my eyes pricked unbearably. A banging head and a tough headache. I stared at Mrs Smith who had begun to sob again. "Dad, what do… we.. do?" I solicited desperately with a cracked voice. "Did you just we?!" Mrs Smith denounced. "How dare you? How could you do something like that
I was at home in seclusion for those three years and I didn't graduate nor finish up my entrance exams to gain admission into college. I watched the downfall of my father's adored fashion company. A ruination and doom that was caused by me"I let Aaron transfer his emotions into his words.     Allie's POV The tape shows a female and a male high-school student in a superheated brawl. The guy whom I could single out as Aaron, and the anonymous lady whose face isn't much noticeable but she kept wiping her face which I assume was soggy from sobbing. She was propelling Aaron back like forcefully attempting to say something but he was evidently outrageously infuriated which made him continuously push her for him to walk away. It went on like that till he shoved her with extensive pressure. She inches far and hit her head on a sharp abandoned iron. It resulted in her having a heavy flow of blood from her forehead. Aaron proceeded forward and suddenly halted when he noticed her situation. He hit his hand on a button angrily and probably cussed. The force on the regulator caused dust to overshadow the place. It was like it was compressed in a cylinder and the button was the regulator fixed up on the wall. Bizarre, equivocal and questionable. He spared a glance at her, said some
"I cleaned you off while you were asleep" he said and I breathed in relief. Gosh! I got the best hubby. "Your face looks disturbed. Is everything alright?" he asked, his eyebrows crinkled in concern. "I'm feeling sore and weak" I replied and he sank on the bed beside me and tug me in his muscular arms. I pushed my phone away from me and adjusted comfortably in his arms.     Allie's POV Three weeks later~~~~I stared at myself through the enormously large mirror opposite me, while the senior designer assisted with the trims and hems of my gorgeous wedding frock. It was the most beautiful nuptial dress I have ever laid my eyes on. It was epitomized with plenitudes of tiny bits of crystals which were handmade arranged on it. I overheard from one of the assigned fashion designers that it had been in the making for months even before my wedding was planned but it hadn't been on sale.Apparently, Aaron had hired a whole team of beauty and fashion companies to make the matrimony arrangement regarding my wedding and pre-wedding dresses and make-up. I could recall how delighted the assigned designers were when I said I loved the dress. They had been nervous about the outcome of things mainly because Aaron is their customer. Aside from not wanting to dismiss their hard work, I had fallen in love with the gown at first sight. The weeks had been a bit frenzied as
    Allie's POV "I will take the plunge with you" I breathed and pulled him to stand on his foot. His brows furrowed in disarray and a blend of apprehension. I accept to stay by your side for the rest of my life…" Aaron's legs teetered and his face lit in aghast. He was already sweating profusely, all races of emotions displayed on his face. I nodded my head in confirmation of my response and at a speed, he lifted me in his arms so tightly that my stomach churned tremendously. "Thank you for giving me the chance, baby. You just gave me a memorable birthday. Fuck. Oh sorry about my language. I love you" he appreciated in a whisper tone and a rush. I walked up to Aaron whose back was to me while leaning at the kitchen entrance. He yanked out of my hold in fear and it resulted in damage to his phone screen as it shattered on the tiled floor. "Oh no" I muttered and attempted to pick up the remaining part of the phone but Aaron breathed out in relief when he realized I was the one and he held my hand from taking it. "Let it be, it will be taken care of," he said. "I'm sorry but why did you react that way?" I asked. "Nothing." he replied and brushed his lips against mine "Good morning, sweetie.
