Esme’s short visit managed to lift my spirits enough to get me through it all I haven’t stopped thinking about her in between each file. Maybe a weekend away just the two of us would be my chance to confess my undying love to her and tell her I want to take her as my chosen mate and Luna. We could go out to all the beach parties and clubs under the pretence of finding our fated mates Ive lost hope in us both finding them since we’ve both travelled to all the packs been to two annual mating balls every year since we were 16 together. we have been on our mate quest together since Esme wanted to find her fated mate we she became of age. but I just wanted to spend that time travelling and having esme to myself along the way I felt obligated and forced as the alpha to find my mate I only ever had eyes for one that’s my Esme . although if I found my mate I would have rejected her and kept going on the mate quest with esme that was always OUR time and our thing I guess.
I exhale after the last signature on the paperwork I call my assistant over the intercom and tell her to copy, fax and scan all documents online to be digitally filed. My stomach grumbles so I let her know I’m going to get some lunch and go for a walk around the pack grounds for some air and asked if she would like anything bought back for lunch. I’m well off money wise and could have the omegas make and serve my lunch but I’ve always gone out into the pack to get my lunch to interact personally with my pack it keeps us stronger and united although it’s something small and humbling my pack respects me a little more for it. I walk over to the training grounds with the flowers and food in hand. Everyone has finished training showered and started to leave through the change rooms so I wait on the benches outside. Now with that sorted I suppose I had better ring Alex and ask him to fill in for me. I pick up the phone and dial his number he was all too eager to temporarily fill my alpha position even if it were just for the weekend. Esme pov After my lunch with Sampson I head home I unlock the door and walk inside and squeal with excitement as I throw myself onto my bed at the thought of going to the beach house.
