Dylan sat still, speechless. His eyes squinted at Dorry who was still staring at him, only to give him a shrug to confirm the truth in her words. He scoffed out a dissuading smile as he looked away. "That's impossible." Dorry rolled her eyes tiredly. "Why do you say that?" "Well, first of all, I'm not..." his eyes reflexive fell shut at his incoming lie. "I'm not like that, but more importantly, I would know if that's true. Kyle is anything but nice to me, you don't call someone you like stupid. That's just absurd." He pouted, still unable to move on from being called, stupid. "This..." Dorry pointed with a look that said she had given up. "This is exactly what I was talking about. You're only smart when it doesn't involve you." "Okay, you really need to stop saying that." "I will when you also start seeing what surrounds you. Tell me, are you aware there are currently six people in this room that have a crush on you." she raised her brows in question. "Both female, AND MALE.
The subtle chime of a bell seeped into Dylan's awakening consciousness. The soothing breeze calming his every nerves, pushed him to relax further, but despite his body's lazy attitude, his eyes slowly fell open and the open sky met his gaze. He laid still for a minute, taken by the breathtaking view of the clouds quietly moving along with the wind. Never had he caught such a sight even at his most liesure time. "Wait up!" The next array of children cheerful laughters called him, causing him to sit up, only to have his mouth in a confused gape as he glanced around. The greenery of the hill stretched far out of sight, unknown little kids dressed in a long white dress chased after a bunny like he wasn't their business. His eyes glanced around the area and he drowned more into fear than confusion. The only thing in sight was a huge tree in full bloom with beautiful white flowers he didn't recognize. It also swayed around in the direction of the wind and had petals fall off elegantly
How could he hear Kyle's thoughts so clearly? It wasn't a superpower because he couldn't hear anyone else, so what was it? Now he could even hear him through a distance, and clearly at that . More importantly, how did their Aunt move so fast? It only takes her a minute to come and go! There's something about her, there's something about that family. And he just might make it his business to find out from Kyle. "Haa." he sighed softly. What a day, he thought, feeling the stress come back to him heavily. He couldn't believe he had fainted. The last time that happened was in like fifth grade? It was the time of that incident. He was past over it, but he still found it strange that he'd suddenly lost consciousness. "Kyle!" Bree's finger snap made him flinch. "Why are you so zoned out? Take the call." It took a minute for him to notice the vibration in his pocket right before it died out. "Oh, right." he reached for his phone and stared at the screen to see a missed call.
'Why did you play along to his whims? Till the very end, he only saw you as a piece for his success and you knew that. Yet, how could you have no trace of hatred for him even after what he's done? Why?''...Because I still love him. I know it sound stupid, but I didn't mind knowing I was being used. It only made my heart... full. Before I knew it, all I cared about was his seeing him happy.''Even if it means your death?''...even if it means my death.'***Kyle still had those words engraved into his heart. They were the most foolish words he had ever heard, despite them coming from the wisest man he had ever known. He still remembered the warm smile that came with his words that held all honesty. And he went further to say. 'You might not understand now, but I know one day, you will.'Nonsense.Not a day went by that he lived believing that truly, he would come to understand those words. And he never tried to understand. But then, he met him.Dylan James Kerwood. His naive crush who
His hand gestured for Dylan to come in and he went ahead, leaving him to shut the door behind him. Now they both stood in the empty house. And Kyle was faced with a problem. He had invited Dylan over to show him something, newsflash, that was a lie. He had nothing to show him, he had only said that in the sour of the moment.*Damn it, it wasn't supposed to go like this.* he thought and walked forward, stopped to place his hands on his waist and let out a silent sigh. What now?"So," Dylan turned back to him, "you said you had something to show me. What is it? Or did you lie again?"The truth in Dylan's words made his lids flutter and he couldn't bring himself to look at him.*Just give me a minute.* he waved back to make him hold on, rushing back to his thoughts. *First, I need to dissuade him from seeing my brothers as potential interests. I only have one chance at this. Theo might be a little hard to eliminate, that boy is too perfect for his own good. But Lucas... riiiight! Lucas
~~You're kidding right?~~ He blinked, waiting for Dylan to take back his words and tell him it was simply a joke. But Dylan only smiled and said, "I mean it though, is it that hard to believe?" **Ofcourse it is!** He could usually tell when Dylan was lying but now he wasn't so sure anymore. If he truly was telling the truth, then he's toast. He knew absolutely nothing about roleplays and toys, now Theo had the upper hand over him without having to lift a finger... again! "Why do you look so scared? I won't jump you or suddenly tie you up and then make you do weird things, you know?" ~~I never said that.~~ Dylan chuckled lightly, "Don't worry, I have TOTALLY no interest in someone who knows nothing about roleplays. Or someone who gets scared by the thought of it, it would be no fun if you have a partner who's scared to give you what you want. And you surely don't look like you could handle that, so not to worry, you're off my list." Kyle stared into space with a confused look, w
They tore apart at the sudden call and the kiss broke with both staring at each other, eyes widened. "Kyle, are you in?" The voice came from the corridor, and it didn't take him much to recognize Lucas's voice. **Damn it.**He swallowed, his eyes moving focus to Dylan who looked all flustered up. With his irregular breathing pace matching his, his face had gone hot, his glossy lips having a brighter red, and when their eyes met again, his uncontrollably blinks and awkward averted gaze told Kyle he was back to his senses. **Damn you, Lucas.** His head fell with a silent sigh, and reluctantly, he slowly withdrew his hand on Dylan's cheeks. Only when he tried to pull back the other did he realize he had slid his fingers up Dylan's shirt. Now it was his turn to let out flustered blinks. He didn't know when he had done that. "This kid, mom clearly told him to lock the doors whenever he's out." Lucas's voice closing in made Dylan grow visibly anxious. Their heads turned to the door
He watched Dylan finally snap out of his shock. His hand creaked out for a stretch and he waved it around to Lucas surely in denial. He couldn't hear them out, but he saw and faintly heard Dylan say something to Lucas as he kept waving his hand in embarrassment.Lucas simply stayed quiet, and the next thing he knew, Dylan turned away and walked off as fast as he could without looking back.He ran up his front porch and Kyle lost sight of him.He would've smiled at his cute behavior, but the pressing matter staring right up at him from below made a turn back in the corner and was obviously rushing back inside. His eyes stole one more glance at the Kerwood's house and then down back the window height in concern.**Is he okay?** he thought as he turned back to leave the room. **I haven't tried jumping over this window but still, it looks dangerous.** His fast steps seized at the door from almost clashing with Theo."Why are you in here when it stinks?" Theo peeked inside his room and
He watched the kid cry up a pool and he had never felt so guilty.“I'm… I'm sorry!” his timid sobs chocked him up, burrowing his head in his knees. “I didn't mean to… I wasn’t chasing you off. Are you mad at me? Is that– is that why you never came back?”Now Kyle was slowly hating himself, why were his tears doing a number on him? **H-hey, it's not my fault. I tried coming back but it was impossible.** His paws were already walking to where the kid remained in a squat. **Hey, listen…**“I can't… I can't do anything right! Everyone is mad at me,” he sounded hurt, giving Kyle the idea that it was a lot more than his days of absense. “Dad got mad at me, ‘cause… ‘cause I didn't want to eat up. But– but I don't want to eat. I-I also couldn't stay right in the tube! It's hard.”Tube? Did he mean the bathtub?“… and you never showed up.” his cries increased, and it was still so hard to miss how his voice remained soft and quiet despite how hard he wept “Do you not want to play with me anymo
Would he be back?He couldn't say, after all he only found the place out of luck. Perhaps if he could take note of the road as he went out it could be much easier. But he couldn't make any promises.**Sorry kid, but I have other things to handle at the moment. I'm not down for babysitting.**With that, he walked away without sparing a glance back. He wasn't ready to get roped in by those bewitching eyes again. His path back was a little tricky, but thanks to his dog form and sharp nose he found his way back just fine.**Damn, just how far in did I go?** He thought as arrived at the road. The sun was no longer in plain sight, and it took a whole while longer than he had calculated to get out. Getting back to the house would be worse, so he had to hurry.Taking one last glance at the woods that looked like it held nothing but nature, he ran off. And just as he thought, his mom was dead worried, but he ensured her he was fine. Chipping in his discovery of the day. She hadn't believed him
••{Five months before Kyle's dash for help.}Wallowing in his unknown predicament of staying a husky, he wandered the woods aimlessly. Humans were never born with the memories of their past lives. He knew that just as everyone does. So could it be a punishment that he still had his? Was that the prize he had to pay for failing to protect the one master he had been sworn to? Or was it simply an effect of losing his core? So many questions he had come up with, yet none fit the mark. He had given up on trying to find an answer. He had moved on in acceptance, If he was given a chance at a new life, he should make the best out of it. The only friend he had in his past was no other than his master, everyone stayed away from him and he never needed them anywhere close. He had his master after all.But all that was soon lost as his willful thinking. Now he had a new chance and he was getting along just fine with the kids at the kindergarten… even if they were all just kids who reminded him e
Kyle followed Mrs. Kerwood into the house, ready to help out with whatever she needed. When they got to the living room, he saw Dylan's dad and Bree sitting on the couch, their eyes on him. Naturally, he sent a smile their way and signed.^^Good morning.^^Their quiet responses reminded him that they weren't still too familiar with signs, so he only gave back a nod that surprisingly didn't get a better reaction. “Have a seat, Kyle.” She pointed at the couch and he obeyed without much thought. He took the single couch across the one where Bree's sat with her dad and it only took him a second to recognize the hostility in the air. Neither of them were smiling, which was just odd considering how chatty and teasing Bree gets when she sees him. Probably they had a bad morning. He turned to see Mrs. Kerwood staring out the window in observation, and she remained like that for a moment before coming back. She walked over to the couch where the others sat and it comfortably took all three
“Mom, I'm off.” he announced as he walked over to her while she remained on the couch. “Alright honey.” she smiled and he stood still in front of her. She stared at him in confusion for a minute then a smile curled up her lips. “Get over here.” He leaned down and gladly took his peck on the cheek, feeling much satisfied. “Be careful out there.” she dropped as usual and he straightened with a nod. “Yeah,” he spun around to Bree and his Dad who also sat around the Tv. “I'll be back.” “Alright bud.” his dad waved and Bree stared up at him. Her gaze giving him the idea that she had something to say, until she raised a brow in question. “What? You want a peck from me too?” His face pulled up in grimace. “Ew, no thanks.” he turned to leave and gave in to the thought in his mind. “Save that for when you get a boyfriend.” The slight chuckle from his parents made him smile as he stepped out. It was the weekend, and he had never felt more excited to leave home. His legs took hurried st
With Dylan's classes ending early as usual, while Kyle was left with one more hour of lecture, he finds himself waiting alone. Bree and Kira had left him for a concert he had zero interest in… after raiding his mini chocolate bar, and Kyle had been nervous to ask him to wait so they could walk home together, so he simply brought it up first. And he was glad he did.Because that hour was just the sort of time alone he needed to knock some sense into himself. What the hell was that? Why did he jump Kyle like a sex craved maniac when the original motive was just a kiss. Had he always been that insane and starved?“Haa, why does he have to be such a great kisser?” he mumbled shamelessly to himself. “And not just a great kisser, but– damn… his size is just so– what the hell am I mumbling to myself right now. Urgh!”His light tap on the lips sealed them up, but not his thoughts.Kyle looked exceptionally charming at school, and he knew his option of why it seemed that way was either, he bee
He took Dylan's hand and started to lead him away from the tree to find a better place to talk. With Dylan following behind without an objection, he got the push to keep going. Knowing the perfect place they could head to. His eyes met his friends stares and he simply rolled his finger around to show they'll be back. They probably couldn't understand signs anyway so signing might just be a waste of his time. They walked off for a few minutes, taking turns down different roads, and finally reached the downward slope that led to the lawn with a pond. **Thank goodness no one's here.** "Did we really have to come all the way here?" Dylan's subtle sniffle brought his attention back to him. And his heart broke at the sight of him hiding a tear. His hands went up to curb Dylan's face in his hands, **Did they really hurt him?... Oh my god.** he pulled Dylan in for a hug and held him in tight, directing his glare at the nothing in particular. **I'll kill them, I'll kill them with my hands
*Exactly 14 hours 30 minutes ago.* As Dylan had left him alone in the night street completely clueless, it had taken him ten whole minutes to realize Dylan had just walked away from him. Looking scared and angry. Yet, not one reason could come to mind. He noticed Dylan phone that had fallen to the ground and picked it up. Still in a daze, he had walked back to his house, shut the door behind him and walked up to the living room. "Hey, Kyle, you're finally back." Lucas stared neck stretched at him over the couch, with the Tv playing. "Mom! Kyle's back! I was just about to give you a call. Where did you go all day? I know you weren't at school, you've been skipping Thursday's lately." He could only stare back at Lucas in silence, his mind still making calculations of his own. "Kyle, you finally come back home. We were getting tired of waiting." his mom spoke as she came down the stairs while he blinked halfly out of his daze.^^Lucas,^^ he called, ^^could you come over here fo
