REMY’S POV

When the priestess suggested the drinking of water of confession, I was shocked and scared at the same time because it was known for its immense power. One part of me wanted her to regain her memories but the other part was hesitant, what if she gets hurt? What if something goes wrong and everything gets worse? She might not be the nicest to me but I understand her fully.

Julia is someone that is hated by almost everyone except the Alpha who is her father and the Beta who has nothing against her. When it turned out that I was her mate, my father didn’t even oppose or disapprove but he was worried I’d get caught between the royal brawl.

I had no choice than to care for her ever since then but she strangely, doesn’t want me. She avoided me for months before she finally decided to punish me with coming over to her place thrice a day to prove myself worthy.

Since I have a simple personality, I didn’t find it weird or absurd and she’s also someone of higher status so she has the

“I was only thinking of how to get your memories back so I could punish those who did this to you and didn’t think about the consequences it might have on my poor daughter. I am so sorry that I almost made you go through something so dangerous. Forgive the foolishness of this your father who only wants the best for his child” The Alpha apologized to the princess and she quickly spoke up in response, mixed with happiness. She smiled as she bowed briefly to the Alpha, her hands folded in front of her in respect. “I know that you do not mean evil for me father, I am so indebted to you for being concerned about me daily” she stated elegantly, her cheeks puffing up in a victorious smile. The water of confession situation was solved and Priestess Lexie was asked to pour back the water to the goblet, and without delay she carried out the order. The priestess proceeded with the cleansing ritual as she did all she wanted to do into the huge bowl of water that was already provided. She read a

I ran back to the check if the maids at the cleansing ritual were still around but I couldn’t find any of them no matter how hard I searched. Even though Remy was confused about my attitude, he still stuck with me and was finding whatever it is that I was looking for with me.After a desperate search that lasted for almost twenty minutes, I finally gave up when I heard the palace maids talking about them leaving. With a huge sigh, I staggered to the wall to stand properly and Remy rushed to help me but I only shouldered his hands off from me.I made sure to take enough breaths and head back to the room, hoping that nothing will spring forth from this uneasy feeling all over me. Bea kept sighing, making me restless but after a while, I told her to forget about it and if at all anything arises from it then we will find something to do about it.After ensuring that I was safe in my room and my food was brought to me, Remy bowed out of my room but I didn’t forget to warn him that he shoul

Draco filled Kimble in on the Alpha’s move and help towards them as soon as he got home and she couldn’t stop thanking him with tears in her eyes even though the probability of hearing her from that distance was less than zero. She decided to hope positively this time around and not jinx it with negative thoughts so she got up to her feet and went inside to start cleaning of all a sudden to the surprise of Draco. She started the cleaning from Freya’s room and didn’t stop until the whole house which has been dirty and disorganized for days were sparkling clean.Draco didn’t make a move to stop her and instead assisted her so she could gain strength and hope from him as they work in pairs. For hours, they kept working in the same space and it was safe to say that was the longest hours they had used together, doing things for the past thirty years. They had always done things in different space and time so they didn’t have the chance to be closer this way and Draco has always been busy w

REMY’S POVI was moving to the Alpha’s chamber when I saw Julia and her two maids moving down to the archery field with bow and a pouch of arrows with them. I wanted to ignore them because that was her normal routine but I was curious of how her performance would be now that she haven’t practiced in weeks. They already started by the time I made my resolution to witness the session but I was appalled by what I experienced, she was below worse. I have never seen anyone so bad at archery like that, she couldn’t even shoot pass her feet.Although I had ton of questions and concerns in my head, I held myself back instead of approaching her to ask them right away, I was waiting for the right time. The moment she became frustrated, she turned to her maids and lashed out on them for being the ones that made her pass through such stress even though she had clearly told them that she was not interested in the archery. The poor maids immediately started groveling at her feet and pleading for th

Remy paused at the mention of her apology and turned to check if he really heard that right but it was indeed an apology from the Princess who has never apologize to anyone no matter how much she had wronged them.Although it was unexpected and unbelievable, it melted away the anger in his heart and didn’t know when his heart brightened up. He was so happy that his face itself lightened up, even the maids did notice the joy coming from him but it was brief. He quickly composed himself and bowed slightly, “It is nothing you should apologize for but I am glad you did” he replied unapologetically. He made it obvious that he knew she would apologize for it on a normal day but he was glad she did nonetheless. After the remark, he matched out of her quarters without looking back and Freya also went into her chamber to wash herself up. Since he was on his way to the Alpha’s quarters before the situation that occurred, he just went straight there to have a talk with him over the affairs of th

FREYA’S POVThroughout that day, I kept sleeping after the archery session because I was so exhausted. I realized that drawing a bow and arrow was harder than I had thought because my shoulders felt like they would pop off at any time.“My shoulder might snap anytime soon, I need some massage” I whined to the hearings of my maids and they didn’t hesitate to help me out.I slept off during the massage and woke up feeling refreshed after few hours, although with a slight pain around my shoulders but I ignored it since it wasn’t that severe. Hailey rushed to me and informed me that my brother was back as soon as I picked up a book to read from the shelf while waiting for dinner to be served.“My brother is back? That’s good but why are you telling me? Is there something I have to do about it?” I questioned, tilting my neck to get the reason behind the announcement and the look on her face gave me the desired answer that it must have been the norms.“What a wonderful siblings they are. I didn’t want to serve as a disturbance even though he wouldn’t count it as one but I couldn’t hold it anymore one day and went to visit him in the library. I had taken my time to make him the honey biscuit snacks that he said was his favorite and marched to the library on the last day of his preparation. He was to take the exams the following day outside the pack where his teachers would be examining him in different aspects. “Hey!” I called out to him and waved with a big smile at the library’s door One could tell from his face that suddenly brightened up that he was so happy to see me “How is it going? Are you getting the hang of it?” I asked and walked in “I am trying my best” he sighed. “Did I love Julia truly?” he asked again and I kept my gaze, waiting for his answer“I did love her but I wouldn’t say as much as I love you. When we were mated, I told her that I wouldn’t do it since I couldn’t feel the attraction even though we were mates and she told me to just pretend. She said she didn’t mind all the love and all that as long as I can protect her and also help her out in her missions. Since I didn’t hate her too, I just accepted and we had no problem. I did all she asked for and I never pressured her, I waited by her side for five years to see her decision which she recently made by rejecting me” he answered without breaking the gaze lock we hadA sigh dropped from me at what he said and I stepped back. For months, I wasn’t allowed to step out of the house without adequate protection. My dramatic parents even hired guards to follow me out anytime I had to something outside the house. At the end of the fifth month, I had to fight them about it and told them that I was strong enough to defend myself and they eventually withdrew the guards. That afternoon, I was in the house knitting in my free time when the door to my room opened“I have to deliver some sweaters but I am tired right now. I will take them there in the evening” My mother said to me as she came inside my room to check up on me since I was there all day“Give them to me. I will deliver them on your behalf” I proposedShe was excited at my offer, it was the reason why she was there obviously. She wanted me to go out on her behalf but didn’t want to tell me directly. I didn’t know what to say at first so I just continued staring at her till she spoke up.“Was the life in the palace bearable? It must not have been easy to pretend that you were the Princess” she finally askedI nodded my head twice, softly and responded. “It was a bit bearable. The doctor’s report gave me the pass I needed” “The doctor’s pass?” her brows curved in confusion“Yea. I woke up to get a report that I had lost my memories even though they were intact” I confirmed and a smile flashed through her lips“Doctor Dax haven’t stopped jumping into conclusions” she murmured but it was loud enough for me to hear“So I heard that you insisted on going back to your pack” she added and I confirmedA little time of silence followed as we both stared at each other without saying a word.“Why don’t you stay though? The palace is wide enough to contain us” she proposed but I only laughed and shook my head“I would have loved to do that but my place is not here. It would be awkward to sta

Uncle Anson found out from one of the soldiers that saw the Prince walking to the flower field and knew that he might have seen the vampire sucking the lad he captured for him. Immediately, he got in contact with the vampires’ side and told them that they have to strike unannounced because the Prince was already catching up on them. They had waited for the Prince to come back to the border and entered the pack unnoticed through the help of Uncle Anson who was in charge of the border. Unknown to them, the other side also had their plans ready so they weren’t caught unprepared. He had wanted to take over the pack with the help of the humans so he sold the captured wolves from other packs to the human world by letting them by through their own packs as a route for years and got money in return. The minister in the human world couldn’t help him since wolves were thousand times stronger than the humans but connected him with the vampire world who could help him out.Over the years, he had

We were not prepared to leave yet but we had no choice to be on our way and there was no enough time to alert Freya.“I just hope that they are preparing hard over there” I sighed as I grabbed unto the small bag and slung it over my shoulder while I took Onieros by the hand“I know a shortcut to the werewolves’ packs. FREYA’S POVI finally remembered that I had seen the currency from Uncle Anson and raced back to the library to tell Remy that I had found the place I saw it and told him where. He couldn’t process the reason why he would have it and tried to give excuses that it might have been a souvenir he received from the passing human merchants at the border but I was not convinced. It was too many to be tagged as a souvenir and I was sure there was something else fishy going on. He had too much pointing at him to be pure.“I think we need to include the Prince at this time. He needs to know what’s happening in the pack so we can all prepare” I suggested to Remy who in turn told me to calm down and find a solid evidence before taking a step since it involves the Alpha’s uncle“You know Julia also told me about the vampire plan. We have to alert the appropriate quarters as soon as possible. This fight cannot be won if fought silently” I insisted and right there, the Prince walked in on us“What f

I couldn’t sleep well after the Princess left because of what she said. It was what I had been waiting for all the days of my life but now that she mentioned it, I felt reluctant to leave. I was used to the palace and everyone around there, I was starting to know them and also build relationship with them, to be sincere, I was also in love with Remy even though I knew I shouldn’t do that.“I honestly do not know what to do” I sighed under the huge blanket and slowly drifted off to sleep after a long night of tossing and turning***The sun was high in the sky before I woke up thanks to my tiredness and I decided to spend each passing day meaningfully as from that morning. I drafted out everyone I wanted to spend each day with and what I wanted to do with and for them so I would have enough time to say a proper goodbye before the next Friday that the Princess would come back to my dreams.I got several bundles of yarn in different colors and sat inside all day, knitting several pieces

I knew that would be the next question they would ask and I was ready to provide the answer on the condition that none of them would make any move on Emory until I was ready to do so. From their talk, it was evident that he was now the acting Beta in place of his father and his governance was a bit ruthless. After telling the story of how I ran away and what happened between me and Ansel, their jaws were on the floor. They could not believe Emory could do all I had said because of how he pretended to love me unconditionally but actually had another plan for me.“You son of the devil! How could you do that her?” my mother growled and charged at Ansel who didn’t avoid her even though he could since he saw her coming. He probably didn’t dodge because he believed he deserved it.“It was not his fault. He was also blackmailed!” I shouted in defense and rushed to hold my mother backAfter all the ruse, she finally helped me treat the bite. “As much as I want to understand you, I hope you al
