16. Out cold.

I paced back and forth in my room, my mind reeling from the bombshell Dylan had dropped earlier. To get my powers back, I would need to mate with them. Both of them. The twins would have to mark me.

My heart raced at the thought, a mix of excitement and nervousness running through my veins. I couldn’t help but find the prospect thrilling, despite the enormity of what it meant. The idea of being with both Dylan and Ryan, of belonging to them completely... it sent a shiver down my spine.

Part of me wondered if Dylan had made it up. This news seemed even bigger than the revelation that they had my powers. But why would he lie about something like this? Would it be to stop the mating trial from happening?

Unfortunately, I didn’t have the chance to discuss it further with Dylan. He’d been whisked away on pack duties, training the warriors. I hadn’t seen my mother since the confrontation either, which was probably for the best. She was likely avoiding me, knowing I was holed up in my room.
