Return
Nineteen Years Later
"Sara! Come here, don't go too far into the woods."
"Okay Cassandra!" Sara shouted from inside the woods and threw her spear across a tree.
"Yeah!" She shouted when the spear hit a cross mark on the tree.
Sara flipped her dark black backward and sat on one of the rocks to remove her boots.
It has been nineteen years since her mother passed away. She has been living with Cassandra who was a midwife and grew up in a small town far from the palace.
She had come to know how her mother suffered before giving birth to her and the fact she was raped. Sara didn't see herself like the other girls in the town, she believes she was conceived out of force by the Alpha Calhoun.
Sara had brewed her hatred for him and his clan to the hundredth level that no one could remove. Being alone with Cassandra wasn't the best life, nevertheless, it was the only one she could live. She had no friend except her tiger she found in the woods years ago.
Cassandra love staying close to forests because of her love for nature, eventually, they relocated to this side of the woods when she was seven and had seen the young cub without a family.
After many years of training, she has prepared to embark on a journey to Autumn town where the Alpha Calhoun and his households live. The next day she won't be here with Cassandra as they had planned everything.
Each time she thought about leaving, her excitement sometimes grew higher than her determination to kill the Alpha. It was because she had lived in a small town where she didn't have friends.
After the day's training in the woods, she walked her tiger home. It was almost dark when she reached their small house to find old Cassandra waiting for them close to the paddock.
A sigh of relief escaped from her mouth when. She saw Sara and the tiger returned. "You are not supposed to be too late Sara, I have always warned you about staying out late," she scolded lightly at Sara and ushered the tiger into his kernel.
"I'm sorry Cassandra, today's my last day here. I'm gonna miss you," Sara said and embraced the old woman tightly. Cassandra has been her everything, when she was sick, scared, when she was sad or happy or angry; she was always there and parting with her wouldn't be an easy feat.
That night, Cassandra and Sara reminisced about their times together, they laughed, smiled and even cried together. It was the most painful time of Sara's life. She wanted to bring Cassandra along but the old woman was safe here. Maybe if she gets a good place in Autumn town, she would bring Cassandra to stay.
Sara lay on her straw bed quietly as she thought about the people she was going to meet and those she was going to make them pay for all they had caused most especially her illegitimate father, Alpha Calhoun.
The next morning, Sara's things like clothes, food and so on were tied to the tiger as they didn't have a horse and she couldn't shift into her wolf because she was carrying many things.
Cassandra patted the tiger after placing the pouch of money beside its ear as no one would dare go close to a tiger. Though they were taking the forest route, it was also a good way of protecting her money from bandits in the forests.
"All set," Cassandra said and removed the loose fringe of hair from Sara's face, "be a good girl and make me proud, okay? Don't cause trouble, just do what you want to do and return safely to me, will you?" The woman said, on the verge of breaking down.
Sara gave her a life squeezing embrace and cried in her arms. "I will," Sara said and pulled back to wipe her face.
"Good girl. Here," she said, handling a necklace with a silver crescent moon necklace locket on it. "It was given to me by your mother and asked me to pass it to her child when the right time comes. I hope it will come in handy someday." Cassandra said and kissed Sara on her forehead.
"I'll be looking forward to seeing you with a suitable partner too," she said and smiled.
Sara blushed and nodded her head, "okay." she said and mounted the tiger. She gave Cassandra and the house and everything around it one last look before walking away with tears all over her face.
"Do what's right Sara," was the last thing she heard from Cassandra before the tiger walked into the forest.
Right at that moment Sara made up her mind to finish what her mother started and hope to see Cassandra again before she passes away.
*
The journey to Autumn city will take three days to reach the outskirts. Sara ran her finger on the locket Cassandra gave to her and put it on before tucking the locket into her shirt.
A trip through a forest path wasn't an easy one as there were lots of risks but Sara was not afraid nor was she complaining, it was all the faults of the Alpha Calhoun and he's going to pay for it.
She walked past many borders which were demarcated with beautiful flowers and pea trees. Sara couldn't see other villages and towns as she was traveling with a tiger and the farmers who saw her either ran away or gape in awe.
Sara made a large tent that could accommodate her and her tiger inside a pine tree forest and took out her map she uses for location purposes. Two more towns and she would be in the outskirts of Autumn town.
The morning sun greeted Sara's view as she winced. Small talking voices were heard outside her tents.
She took her spear and crawled out of the tent to see five huge men with swords and clubs. Bandits, she thought.
"Little girl, what are you doing alone in the forest?" One of the bandits said and brought his finger to his teeth to remove a piece of meat hanging there.
Sara almost puked when she saw the man do such a thing and showed them her spear, "don't come near me, else you'll regret..."
Hahaha
The men laughed when the first bandit who spoke earlier took the spear from Sara in just one movement.
"Ohh. She's so brave, can you see that," another teased and gestured with his head for his friends to go inside the tent.
Sara had forgotten she had a tiger and realization immediately dawned on her but she didn't stop the men from rushing in.
Few seconds later, an earth shattering roar filled the forest as birds that were in their nest flew away. The men who went inside were all struggling to get out of the tent and it fell atop them and the tiger.
Smiling to herself, Sara removed the fallen tent from their body as they ran away like mad men. The least they expected was a tiger inside a young girl's tent who was camping in a forest.
Sara put all her things well and mounted her tiger as they continued their journey towards Autumn town. Sara inhaled sharply when she saw a few warriors in their uniforms staring at her with groggy eyes. One of the warriors looked at his horse and back to the tiger before gulping.
Sly is a domestic trained tiger and was quite harmless to people but the appearance of a tiger is enough to send everyone running helter skelter.

News reached the Autumn Pack palace that there was a girl riding a tiger towards Autumn town and might be in Autumn outskirt soon.
"Are you sure of what you are saying?" Alpha Calhoun's son, Brian asked the messenger who nodded his head continuously.
"Most farmers saw her," the messenger added.
"Can you describe her?" Alpha Calhoun asked.
"Yes. No less than twenty years old, black long hair, slender, her eyes seem smart and daring, most of all she's beautiful," the messenger said as if he was daydreaming.
Brian threw him a sarcastic look and his eyes met the stern eyes of the young man who was sitting with his legs crossed and less bothered about the news.
Alpha Calhoun frowned and ordered his guardsmen to bring the girl to him. "Brian went with the guardsmen and brought that girl here, there must be a reason she's riding a tiger." He remarked.
"Father, what about Adolphus? Isn't he coming along?" Brian asked with mockery laced in his tongue.
Alpha Calhoun then stared at Aldophus who shrugged his shoulders, "there are better things to do than bringing a girl riding a tiger. Good luck Brian," he replied nonchalantly and walked away.
"What? Cat's got your tongue?" Cleo asked with a smile on her lips before following Aldophus out of the meeting room.
Brian was angry and almost puke blood as he had been mocked in the presence of everyone.
"I'm leaving," he said and walked out of the room.
*
"Aldophus, will you come with me to watch Brian catch the tiger or attend a soiree," Cleo listened and walked to stand in his front.
"I have better things to do," Aldophus replied and turned to enter his room.
"Then you will come with me to Lady Doris' tea party," Cleo said from outside his room before rushing away.
Aldophus didn't reply to what Cleo said and instead changed his clothes before leaving the room and leaving the palace.

Sara reached Autumn town on the third day in the evening. The city was thrown into turmoil as the news of a tiger rider spread like wildfire. It wasn't long until Sara found an inn to pass the night as the growling and roaring of her tiger came from the shed.
"Did you lock the shed?" Sara asked the owner of the inn.
"Yes. Very tight milady," the innkeeper said and went his way.
When it comes to capturing, Sky could easily be trapped because he isn't a wild tiger. He had grown right from when he was a cub in her home and that made him less hostile.
Sara couldn't bear the noise any longer and rushed down the staircase towards the door. When she came out, the town was already dark and the burning fire touches of the people lit up the whole place.
Sly wasn't in his shed anymore, a series of ropes were around his neck as the people pulled the rope but the tiger was also strong and held its ground.
"Where are you taking him!" Sara shouted, making the crowd turn their head in her direction.
Brian appeared before her and ordered his guards to take the girl. His smile was not pleasant and Sara could sense it.
"Take her to the palace." He ordered and walked away from there.
"I didn't do anything, why am I taken to the palace?" Sara was taken aback because she hadn't hurt anyone.
They were doing her good by taking her to their Alpha who was the number one in her death list. A grave smile appeared on her lips as she followed the men with her tiger trotting behind.
"Your mother said there's also another werewolf that wants revenge, if you find him, give him this," Cassandra said, handing her the necklace with a crescent silver moon.
Sara didn't like the fact that someone also wanted to kill the Alpha. It won't be a surprise if hundreds of people run in just to kill the Alpha.
While walking, Sara became nervous when they reached the palace. It was a large one that could contain hundreds of people.
"Aldophus, I brought the girl," Brian said in another to mock Aldophus.
Before Sara could see who the werewolf called Aldophus, Alpha Calhoun appeared on the flight of stairs in the entrance door.
"Father, I brought the girl," Brian said boastfully and eyed Aldophus who had eyes only on the girl.
Sara didn't need a second person to tell her the tall man with graceful looks was the Alpha. Her breath hitch as the man stared at her with sharp eyes as if he was trying to read her inner thoughts."Take her to the royal court, Aldophus and Brian, follow me," Alpha Calhoun ordered grimly and walked back into the building with his hands behind his back. For the second time Sara wanted to see that person named Aldophus. She didn't know why her instinct kept being alert each time she heard that name. Before she could see the person, the royal guards pushed her towards one of the large doors at the entrance.Sara turned and glared at the guard before walking in.Though it was night and dark outside, Sara could tell the opposite of this court. Crystals hanging from chandeliers all around the court while giving a bright glow and good view of the court. The white crystals luminated the courtroom with white light exuding all over the place and Sara could see even a tiny object. The clearing
Sara pouted her full lips and wiped off the small tears on face before turning to look in the other direction which was probably a bare wall. For some reasons unknown to her, she kept having a feeling of being familiar with this person."Aren't you going to speak, I could send you to the garbage inn you were brought from if you don't answer my question." Aldophus threatened her with all the hostility he could muster. He was always cool and gentle but that doesn't mean he's feeble."Who are you to go against the Alpha's order? You can't send me anywhere without the Alpha knowing about it," Sara replied with a sneer." Maybe sending you to the meadow would be a good idea," Aldophus replied and pushed her towards the window. His eyes held amusement and authority at the same time.If Alpha Calhoun hadn't come to meet her at the entrance she would've thought Aldophus was the alpha. Beguiling and domineering like a Lord."Wait...I don't understand, are you going to throw me out of the windo
"Once." He replied and leaned back to keep the space between them. He saw the amusement and surprise in her eyes and smiled a little."How old are you?" Sara asked in curiosity. If he knew her mother then and was still the same now, he must be older than her.Aldophus flicked her head playfully, "I'm older than your mother, to me a nineteen years old girl is just a pup."Sara lifted her eyebrow in a mocking expression. Werewolves live longer than any other mythical creatures next came the vampires. Pure blooded werewolves were known to be stronger and aged longer than ordinary werewolves. It didn't come as a surprise to Sara that he was older than her mother, in the human realm, he would look like those in their twenties and his handsomeness was beyond description. No wonder the alpha's daughter was as protective as a mother hen."Well... Ahem... What should I call you then?" She asked."Aldophus will do," he replied and smoothen her hair. "It must be hard for you growing up alone wi
The next morning Sara went to the kitchen where she met the butler. He wasn't friendly as his characteristics portrayed him to be. Sara felt the world would come to an end as he taught her how to act in the presence of people. What made Sara more taken aback that is the fact that if any man want to have sexual pleasure with a maidservant, they were in no position to disagree.Sara made mental note of all he said and was taken to the slave quarters. She was introduced to other maidservants.Aldophus had gone to Sara's room and couldn't find her, he asked the guards that were stationed there and discovered she went to the kitchen. On his way to the kitchen, he was taken aback when he saw Sara sneaking into her room. She had no idea he had been there before her. He returned to her room and got inside without her knowing.Sara was packing the few things she brought when Aldophus' voice made her jolt in shock."What are you doing Sara?" Sara blinked at him innocently and bit her inner che
"Hey! Wait for me, it's steep here so I can't run," Sara shouted and tried to increase her pace on the steep ground that went upward into the sky. She watched large grey wolves run fiercely upward to the top of the mountain while she ran on her feet. Aldophus decided to punish her by running on foot to the top of the mountain while carrying their training materials."I'm going to sit here until someone comes to get me," Sara was tired after walking to the middle of the mountain. A cold thing touched her hand and she turned to see a large white wolf with black eyes staring at her."Alright alright I'll walk," said Sara and she starts walking while Aldophus trot behind her.The questions Sara was dying to ask suddenly popped inside her head and she let it out, "what type of werewolves are you, I mean all of you including Lane? "Fitting the large bag to her shoulder that had dropped to her hand Sara waited for his answer and kept walking. Then it dawned on her that Aldophus was in his
"Now go inside and do me and Aldophus a favor," Lane said in order to convince Sara to stay in her room. He had seen his friend's affection for the girl and could tell Sara was comfortable with him.Sara stepped backward and took a glance at all the guards stationed in Aldophus quarter. "Can you take me to see him?" She wanted to see him."I can't do that Sara, you don't know Alpha Calhoun....""The alpha doesn't know me... and certainly can't judge me. Where's he? We've been on the mountain. How could he sneak without me knowing? " Sara shouted.Lane suddenly pulled her behind him when he saw Alpha Calhoun walking towards them in regal steps. Sara felt cold shivers run down her spine as the alpha stared intensely into her eyes."I'm here. I'll give you thirty minutes to have some time with him after then visit me in my quarter." Alpha Calhoun said and walked away.Sara glanced at Lane and rushed towards another direction."It's this way." Lane said, pulling her attention from the wro
"Five days? I thought I fell unconscious a few minutes ago." Sara said and leaned on his body. Her muscles felt weak and tired. "I'm hungry." She uttered quietly.Aldophus was about to climb down from the bed when the Alpha walked in. His domineering and prideful aura filled the room making Sara pressed herself against Aldophus impulsively."I've ordered the maids to bring in your meal. First you'll tell me what you saw," he said with authority. His eyes staring deep into hers and Sara felt he could see through her heart.Aldophus took a glance at Sara who was beside him with a confused look, his eyes were asking her what the alpha met by that.Sara stared daggers at the Alpha for sometime before replying, "I fell unconscious for five days but I saw nothing."Aldophus knew what the Alpha asked was true because he was the one who sent for the healers. Healers were magical creatures who wore black veils and hats. It was rare to find a healer except someone of high position. "Sara, the
Sara looked away in embarrassment and warm red shades crawled in her skin up to her scalp. She didn't expect that from both of them. She felt her skin burn bright red and thank the goddess it was night.Lane also blushed heavily and he quickly left the tent. As for Aldophus he was the still expression man and his action didn't change. Though he was upset by Lane's intrusion when he was about to have a precious time in his life."I should go to my tent." Sara said hurriedly and scurried away from there.Few minutes later, Lane walked into the tent with pleading eyes, he scratched the back of his neck nervously and said, "I didn't mean to intrude, you know instinct.""And you did intrude on Lane, she's embarrassed and would take time for her to return back to normal." Aldophus replied with nonchalance and raised his head to look at his clumsy right hand man. "Raphael would do a better job sniffing than you to smell the different scent Lane," to Aldophus Lane was a pup unlike Raphael wh
What Sara did wasn't for the benefit of the her. She had revealed their position, killing only two injured soldiers, the surprise effect could be considered wasted. Yet, she would rather do that then charge alone on the enemies, hoping for the group behind him to follow. 'If they think like me, they will use me to identify their abilities and then charge. I won't risk my life for them.' She had already obtained a headstart , she couldn't care less if it was to fail because she was unwilling to risk his life. Sara didn't believe that this group was the only force deployed by her father. She knew that Alpha Calhoun was a cunning man,he had spies set up after all so there was a high chance that there could be hidden troops too. The soldiers from Alpha Calhoun's pack reacted quickly and set up a battle formation with their bodies turned toward the now exposed cave. They were prepared to attack since their task was to stop Sara from entering and attacking the Alpha. Since they ha
After explaining the final arrangements to Ivor, Sara made her move as they bother rode the carriage out of the Sect's premises and into the gown as they travelled towards the outskirts.Thirty hooded figures exited a tavern together and ran toward the mountain path, outside of the capital.Meanwhile, right outside the city, on the opposite side from where the group from the Royal family went.Sixty men wearing the emblem of the Aldophus pack marched at a steady pace inside the town.Aldophus was in the center of the group, he was wearing an anxious expression and his eyes darted every time he heard a loud sound."Young master, please calm down. It's just a low rate pack it shouldn't be any problem for our team."Lane was right at his side, whispering with a soft voice to his ear.The soldiers around them were simple guards, unaware of the reasons for their being assembled. If they knew that they were against Alpha Calhoun's pack, their determination might crumble and they might even
"You really like being mysterious."Yaoyao sighed, giving up on probing more about her past."When you find out about me, you can give me your opinion on what I should have done."Sara said, receiving another poke from Yaoyao. They continued to talk and drink for the whole night, enjoying their peaceful time together. As the first rays of the dawn entered the room, Sara interrupted her line of thought and focused back on her surroundings.Yaoyao had long fallen asleep on the couch, uncaringly stretching her legs over Sara's waist.'Is this a habit of her? She sure doesn't care about appearances.'Sara shook her head, carefully moving her legs away in order to stand up.Yaoyao didn't wake up, it seemed that the wine had relaxed her so much that she didn't even pay attention to the environment around her.A bitter smile appeared on Sara's face as she stared at the girl quietly sleeping in front of him.'If my situation was different, I wonder how our relationship would have evolved.'Sh
To create an inscribed item with the Elemental forging method, there were many hurdles to surpass. The cultivator had to endure the absorption of the "Breath" with his sea of consciousness that comported a big risk for that center of power. Then, she had to set her will on a specific meaning and imbue the "Breath" with that, otherwise there would be no effect attached to the finished product. After that, it was time for the choice of the materials. The compound had to be something that didn't conflict with the element of the cultivator and that could sustain the activity that it was meant for.For example, you couldn't use a hard material to create a whip, it would simply conflict with the purpose of the item.At the same time, you couldn't use something too soft either, a whip forged that way would just fail to inflict any damage when wielded. The last hurdle was its form. The item had to be shaped according to its future usage: you could forge a sword but, if you didn't manage to sh
'What the fuck is that?'The guys had an excited smile when they looked at her.One of them gathered courage and stepped toward her."Ehm, dar-, Lord Sara, would you like to accompany me on a trip to Arolyac forest? I'm willing to give all my merit-"He couldn't finish her phrase since Sara interrupted her with a cold answer."No."Silence enveloped the area.Sara uncaringly passed the boy and moved through the crowd to reach her habitation.Yet, she couldn't help but hear the whispers of the boys as she walked through them."Kyaa, have you seen how cool she is! It's the complete opposite of Lord Daniel!""Yes, but Daniel was unreachable for us. Lord Sara doesn't care about noble status.""I want her to scold me so badly but I can't even face her, I feel like fainting every time I look into her eyes."'These boys are crazy!'Sara thought as the unlocked the door of her house."Dark Queen! Would you mind if I came inside and served you some tea? My family is famous for-"Sara didn't wa
It's not that Samuel didn't have techniques or spells to avoid the attack but the surprise effect paired with the fear that he felt due to Sara's presence left him defenseless for a moment. And that moment was exactly what Sara exploited. The head of the noble dug the terrain and a faint trace of blood came out of it.Sara raised Samuel's head from its hair and waited for his reaction."Why did you do this!? Who the fuck do you th-"His phrase was interrupted since Sara smashed the head back in the ground. She raised it again and waited."You better be care-"Sara slammed it back in the pit and pulled it out."Wait! I'm sorry! I will never talk behind your back again!"Samuel's face was covered with blood and terrain with some trace of tears in his eyes.Sara released his hair and smiled toward him, lightly patting his shoulder."Was that so hard? Next time I catch you doing something like this, I will gladly test at what depth the ground becomes harder than your head."Samuel shivere
'This should be the best that I can hope for with my current experience.'Sara thought, analyzing the "Breath" in her sea of consciousness.'Let's try to forge with this.'Another bone of Sun tiger appeared in her hand.Sara carefully manipulated a small part of the "Breath" in her mental sphere and slowly inserted it in the bone.It immediately started cracking, the piece of the beast was opposing that foreign substance. However, Sara controlled the "Breath" to force the item to stay still, using her mental energy and "Breath" in the dantian to envelop the bone.A black membrane appeared around the item in her hand. That was one of the incubating methods described in the forging procedures. With the membrane around it, the bone could not break toward the outside and was forced to mix with Sara's "Breath".Its color changed, from a pale white with shades of red, it became darker, turning gray with purple tones.Sara then controlled it to change shape.Inside the incubating membrane, i
She had a lot of memories of her battles. From the first time when he fought the rank 1 Four-eyes wolves to her recent fight in the arena, her combat style has always focused on two qualities: speed and sharpness. She tried to imprint her meaning of sharpness on the dark lake, concentrating on the memories where she killed her enemies in one blow. The refinement process took a long time. She had to first synchronize her mental energy with her idea of sharpness and then mix more mental energy in the dark lake to align the nature of the "Breath" with the one that she had set.Another week passed, with Ivor calmly standing right next to her, waiting for the results of her refinement. On the night of the seventh day, Sara opened her eyes and stretched and her arms in front of her.Over her palm, a blue liquid floated peacefully.Every drop in the small pond resembled a small blade and a faint sense of sharpness was exuded from it.Ivor immediately neared the liquid and carefully inspected
Manuel was astonished!'How did she manage to hit me through the barrier of lightning?!?'His martial art focused on defense, logically speaking, it had to match Sara's attacks. However, Sara still successfully hit him.He didn't know that after her second time witnessing that technique, Sara could clearly see through its weak spots.'Being a rank 2 beast is wonderful. The speed of my thoughts increased drastically and I can notice details that I was completely ignorant about!'She felt that he could see through everything! Some merit must be addressed to her battle experience though, seeing a weakness and exploiting it were two different things after all."Do you surrender or you want to see if my "Breath" will last till I hit your throat?"Sara mocked him with his own words. She was holding back, not using any of her new spells.Sh was sure that, after that match, her name would be widely known so she wanted to hide at all cost her power and, most importantly, the nature of her elem
