Chapter 26

Nina's pov

As the taxi sped up Nina looked at Damon through the window but she could not keep looking because it felt like she was leaving a part of her with him. She knew that she shouldnt feel bad for Damon, but God knows why it hurts so bad to see Damon sad. His sad eyes can make her forget everything he has done. This is why she needs to get away from him. She has no idea what she should do with her life  right now. Till now she was living for the baby. But now, she has nothing to live for. Soon she came to Melissa's house. She knocked on the door and almost instantly Melissa opened it.

"Oh My God, honey, where have you been.....I was so worried about you" She said.

"I lost the baby" Nina said with tear in her eyes.

"oh my...." Melissa went speechless.

Nina felt like she did not have the energy to say anything more so she slowly went to the room in which she was staying.

She laid on the bed as her tears kept pouring out of her eyes.

She slept for a long long time. When she woke up it was midnight. She looked at the bed stand and saw that Melissa had left food on a tray for her there. Nina slowly sat up and took the plate of food. She ate the whole thing and this time she tried to think with a clear head. She has lost everything she had, but maybe life still has some good things for her and she will definitely find a new purpose of life at some point. She got to her cupboard, the she has kept some money that she had earned from working these 4 months. She took the momey, packed her bag and then knocked on the door of Melissa's bedroom. after a while Melissa opened the door.

"Melissa, you came to my life as an angel. If it werent for you then I would be dead long ago. Thanks for saving my life that day and letting me stay in your house. I will never forget what you have have done for me, I never can. I am leaving now...I realized that I need to move forward now. But really thanks for everything. I dont think I can ever repay you." Nina said with a sigh.

"My child, if you have decided to leave then I will not stop you. I know you gone through a lot. I want nothing but the best for you. And you can definitely repay me by calling me few times a week. Trust me, I just need to knoe that you are well. Tell me if you need anything" Melissa said and then she gave Nina a loving hug. Nina hugged her back and kissed her cheek as she bade her goodbye.

Nina was now at a motel room. This was the cheapest room she could find. She figured out that she needs to live here a few days until she finds a place to rent. She also needs to apply for a new job. The job she has in the restaurant is not enough. She was not doing any other job before because she was pregnant and she could not find any flexible job. She took the newspaper and started circling job and house advertisements.
