Richard apologised

Lola Carrero brought Adrian home drunk. She was taking him to his room when Anna descended the stairs. She smiled at her broadly and told Lola the direction to Adrian's bedroom.

Next morning, When Adrian woke up, he had a terrible hangover. It seemed to him that he lost consciousness totally. This is the second time this has happened to him.

It seemed to him as if he was knocked out entirely. Being drunk doesn't make him lose consciousness to his environment this way. It's almost like he was drugged, not drunk.
