Chapter 8

He then closes the tiny distance between us, causing his uncovered skin to blanket me.

He starts to plant kisses on my neck, causing me to moan from pleasure.

“Stop.” I say breathlessly to him, even though I don’t want him to.

His rough calloused hands holds the back of my neck as he moves up to my ear with his trail of kisses.

Soon his mouth hovers inches over my ear, almost causing my knees to buckle from my emotions.

“You should worship me.” He whispers, as the heat of his breath caresses my ear.

My voice betrays me as my emotions go wild. Words fail to fall from my lips as feelings I never knew I could feel envelops me.

At that moment, I knew that I was never getting free from his ungodly touch.

What have I gotten myself in?

A knock on the door startles me exactly when Robert squeezes my bosom.

We both withdraw from each other quickly.

I forgot, the door was left open.

At the door stands one of Robert’s guards.

When Robert’s eyes lands on him, he scoffs frustratingly.

“You are always on spot with the wrong timing.” He says as he walks towards the guard.

The man face looks stoic and without emotion. He glances at me, and I give him a small wink. He seems unaffected by it though.

He averts his gaze to his boss, and scans his half naked form.

“You should get dressed, you have a meeting at the company in twenty minutes.” His voice is just as bland and robotic as his facial expression.

“Okay, James. Now leave.” He says to the guard, but he does not make any attempt to.

“James, didn’t you hear me?”

“Sir, you have to be at the company in nineteen minutes now; I’m not leaving until you get dressed.” James replies without fear.

Robert runs his hands in his hair frustratingly. He then turns to me and gives me a sad smile.

“It’s okay.” I say.

“I was leaving anyway.” I say as I try to straighten my ruffled clothes.

When I’m done, I walk out without a glance back. As I walk through the hallway and then down to the stairs, I begin to think that maybe meeting Robert Jones isn’t such a bad thing.

Maybe I can let myself love again.

Just maybe.

I meet the other guards standing at the exit of the house. They all watch me keenly, as if I am a ticking bomb.

“Hello, boys.” I say when I reach them, and they continue to study my movements.

“You’re leaving?” One of them asks me, and I nod with a seductive smile.

He smiles back, and his friend smacks him behind the head.

“Focus, nutcase.” He says to him.

I then walk out of the house, and the view of the compound shows its glory.

There are many cars that obviously cost a fortune. There is even a fountain here, and not a little one. The fountain here is grand and huge.

I walk down the stairs and onto the pavement. I then look at the watch on my wrist and it says: 2:13 PM.

As I walk towards the front gate, I retrieve my phone from my pocket and I make a call.

“Hello?” The person answers on the first ring.

“Chad, I need a favor.” I say into the phone.

“You could at least ask how I’m doing.” He says and I chuckle.

“Chad..” I say his name in a warning tone.

“Okay, okay. What do you need?” He asks.

“I need all the information you can get me on a wealthy middle age man that goes by the name of Victor Sans.” I say and he breathes a sigh.

“Will he be dying?” He asks in a scared tone, and I can’t help but laugh.

“We will see, Chad. We will see.” I say and he makes a funny noise.

“Okay, I will get back to you as soon as possible.” He says.

“As soon as possible.” I remind him.

“Yes, Jen.” He says, and I end the call.

Chad is my best friend, and he is a highly skilled engineer that is really good at computer and technology.

He is an expert in finding people. Even people who the government hides.

If I want to find someone, or get information on anyone or anything, Chad Simons is my the guy.

He tried to ask me on a date one time, and I almost beat the crap out of him. From that day, he knew he would be friend zoned forever.

It was a funny, educational, and serious moment at the same time.

When I reach to the front gate, it opens by itself. It is clearly automated.

When I step outside, I spot my motorcycle across the street, and I smile.

Seeing my baby makes me smile every single time. That motorcycle costs almost a million dollars, but damn, it’s worth every penny.

I begin to cross the street. Crossing here is easy, there are no cars zooming through. Only occasionally does a car drive through.

When I am on the other side of the street, I walk towards the motorcycle, but my phone interrupts my movements.

I stand still as I try to answer it.

When I look at the caller ID, I see that It’s Chad.

Well, that was fast.

I place the phone on speaker and Chad speaks, “Victor Sans, I have everything on him.”

“That sure was fas-“ I was saying, but something interrupts me.

I feel a tap on my shoulder.

As I turn to see who it is, something extremely hard hits my forehead, and I black out instantly.

It all goes dark.
