Chapter 34

The way he says it causes a light feeling of fear to choke me.

“What’s in the box, Robert?” I ask him and he holds his mouth in horror.

I decide to investigate and I walk towards the opened box on the bed. The first thing I see are tiny splatters of blood in the box.

When I reach it, I look in and I see mutilated human parts, specifically fingers.

I count the amount and I realize that there are ten of them. There also happens to be a note right next to them.

I reach in and I pick up the note, it has some blood on it.

“Jen..” Robert says in unbelief.

I have seen worse than this.

I unfold the paper and it reads: “I guess the sniper won’t be using his finger to pull any trigger in his life again. Truly Yours, Naomi.”

I smile widely, showing my teeth as I realize that Naomi has done her part. She dealt with the sniper, and might I say, in the best way.
