Chapter 11

I blinked. His mood was confusing. He was so angry and violent awhile ago but now he looked so meek and humble. Was he naturally like this? I almost shook my head. I had to agree with what he said before that I didn't know any single thing about him.

He was intensely gazing at me which made me feel really uncomfortable. I sat straight and looked out the window to avoid his eyes.

We were parked in front of a vacant lot. A few meters away, I could see a gasoline station and a convenience store. The only sound in the car was coming from the air conditioner. This was probably the time to tell him what I wanted to say to him nine years ago.

"I am sorry for what I did in the past. I didn't know what I was thinking. I wanted to apologize to you but I was afraid you wouldn't forgive me. Believe it or not I didn't mean what I said back then. I admit I was a bitch. When I finally gathered all the guts I needed to say sorry to you, you were gone."

I was about to look at him when he spoke.

"It will take more than a sorry to erase everything," he said as if to himself.

I turned my head. He was staring at the windshield. I bit the inside of my bottom lip.

"Trevor..." I began.

"From what you've seen back there you probably know that I am serious with things I say. I warned you to stay away from that bastard but you defied me. I never say things I don't mean," he said still not looking at me.

I lowered my eyes.

"You don't know me Christina. I could do worse," he added.

I moistened my lips and raised my eyes at him again.

"I know it's not easy for you to forget what I did and said nine years ago. Please tell me what you want me to say and do so you will stop holding a grudge against me, "I sounded helpless.

This time he turned his head to look at me. His expression was impossible to read.

"Just stop being like this Trevor I am begging you. I have apologized to you already what else do you want? We can't work together if you still feel that way."

He let out a sarcastic light laugh. "And what the f*ck do you know about how I really feel?" he asked tonelessly.

I sighed heavily. I looked out the window again. I massaged my right temple when I felt I was going to have a headache.

"You're right of course. I have no idea how you are feeling but I already said my apology. I don't know what to do anymore."

I couldn't imagine spending almost eight hours for five days a week at the office with him if he was like this.

"I don't want just your apology." he suddenly said which made me transfer my eyes to him again.

His face was as serious as his voice.

Frowning, "What do you mean?" I asked.

"I don't want you seeing other men but if you want a repeat of what I did to Alice's cousin, then go ahead!"

"We are just business partners!"

"I told you that we will be more than that!"

I jutted my chin as I started to get annoyed again. "How can you say that to me? I know I said some insulting words to you nine years ago but I already admitted that I didn't mean them! I was too young and stupid to say such things to you before and I will say sorry again! So you don't have the right to think so lowly of me! I am not desperate so I will never be with someone who is already committed!" I hissed.

His lips twitched upwards to one side which made him look yummier but I didn't care. I wouldn't allow him to make me his side chick!

"Drive me home now!" I demanded.

"Are you jealous of Lolla, honey?" he suddenly asked with a hint of amusement.

I sighed heavily as I rested my back against the seat with my eyes on the road ahead of us.

"You wished!" I mumbled but he heard. He chuckled.

"Just take me home. I'm sorry if I didn't go back to the office. I will be early tomorrow, I promise."

"I want you to be mine again, honey," I heard him say in a breathy voice.

With narrowed eyes I looked at him again. I almost caught my breath when I saw his hot as hell good-looking face and expression. His eyes turned molten and he was gazing at me as if he wanted to do something indecent but pleasurable to me.

"F*ck! You are so lovely!" he uttered as his eyes feasted on my face.

My heart almost skipped a beat. I swallowed. I mustn't be taken by his charms and his words. He was a man slut, so he had a way with words to lure women. I raised a brow.

"Didn't you hear me a while ago? I said I will never be with someone who is already committed...mmp!"

He pulled me to him and inserted his tongue inside my mouth. I pushed his chest. He was really a pervert! He had been kissing me like he was still my boyfriend. I pinched his arm. Finally after a while, he stopped assaulting my mouth and lips. While chuckling, he removed my hand from his arm. He pinned it between us with one of his hands. He had a naughty smile on his lips as his other hand went up to cradle my chin.

"You always take advantage of me you perv!" I rasped.

He moved his face closer to mine and I couldn't move away because he was holding my chin firmly.

"Don't be jealous and angry honey. Lolla isn't my girlfriend. It's only you I want, " he said huskily while looking at my lips then my eyes.

My mouth slightly opened in surprise.
