36-Facing Her Mistakes

Bridget’s POV

“Thank you, Bridget,” Mrs. Taylor says as I bring her the muffins today.

It’s my favorite part of the day. I used to do this with Abby and Kesly when I was a little girl. We hand out baked goods every day to widows.

Over the years between rogue attacks and the one war we have lost warriors. They left behind mates and children.

Kesly likes to check on the widows every day. When a werewolf loses their mate, they can lose themselves. By checking in on them daily, Kesly knows who needs extras support and who is coping.

“I miss my smiling Luna Marcella, how are they fairing?” I hear Mrs. Curby ask Kesly.

“Well, when I spoke to my son last night, her heat is over, and they are traveling the packs in China now. They will start working their way west, ending in Glasgow where they will fly to New York and then home,” Kesly tells her.

“Oh Bridget, it is so nice to see you back out here. We have missed your sweet face as well,” Mrs. Curby tells me, seeing me. “I hear plan
