Chapter 176 ~ Is He Kidding Me?

{Isla’s POV}

We were marching through the woods, silence on our lips but our feet roaring with thuds. It was only a matter of time before our lips would tear into the silence with war cries and our claws would be swung into the air to spill blood.

But for now, there was still serenity. However, the serenity wasn’t for me. Unlike everyone else traveling through the forest, my enemy wasn’t just the Lycans and their King. I had other enemies— unknown enemies and I had to fish them out before they would do more damage.

I had to separate those I knew I could trust from those I suspected to be dubious.

And to start identifying the iffy ones, I turned to my left. “Ralph,” I called.

Ralph tuned out from the conversation he was having with Emkay and turned towards my direction.

He immediately strolled over to meet me. “Yes, my Queen.”

I had a frown on but then I smiled. “You regard me this way so often that I’ve gotten used to it. It no longer sounds strange hearing you call me, ‘my Queen”.
