Olympia's POV
Solo trumpets blared, announcing Silas's grand entrance to the room, and with that one note, there was a racket of complete and utter silence. I stood at the side of the mass, my heart racing from anxiety. Why in the name of humans had I been expected to show up for this circus? The moon goddess had been kind, diverting Silas from me with some freak happening outside the palace walls, but now his attention turned to me once more. "Olympia, come here!" Silas boomed, his voice echoing off the chandeliers. I held back, my feet heavy with reluctance, but a gentle nudge from one of the pack pressed me forward. As I walked up the stage, a wave of nausea hit me, and I clutched my tummy. The room spun around, and with not an iota of balance, I felt myself sway. Next thing I knew, I was throwing up; my stomach contents spilled on the shiny floor. There erupted gasps and murmurs from the crowd. Silas strode over to me with a furrowed brow, his face scrunched up. "What is it, Olympia?" he implored in a low, urgent voice. I knew the truth; but I could not say it—yet. The pack doctor was summoned, and my heart sank. For weeks now, I'd managed to keep my secret hidden and was plotting my way out of here. Now, it seemed, my secret was about to be exposed. His hands pressed against my stomach, and I winced, wincing to burlesque my fear. "She's pregnant," he announced to the room. Silas's face twisted in rage. "What?" he bellowed again, his fist connecting with my stomach. I doubled over, pain searing through me. "You whore, who was the bastard who screwed you?" I gasped, memories of that fateful night flooding back. And then, I heard it – the sound of the voice that made my heart race. "It was I," said the stranger with deep tones echoing through the room. I turned, my eyes locking onto his, the world crashing down. In front of me was the father of my child, the man who haunted my dreams. His eyes burned with intensity. The air hummed with tension as Silas's eyes narrowed, his fists clenched, and his voice growled, "Who the hell are you?" The stranger's smile was a slow, velvety unfolding, like a rose blooming in the night. "The father of her unborn child, and her second chance mate," he replied, his voice oozing confidence. I felt like someone had sucker-punched me in the gut; my breath fled from me all at once. "My second chance mate?" I parroted, my voice barely above a whisper. This stranger's eyes locked onto mine, and electricity sent a shiver through me. "Yes, sweetie, I'm here to whisk you right out of this place," he said in a low, husky voice. Silas's face flushed deep red, balling his eyes like a toad's. "Who are you?" he growled again, as his voice shook with rage. But the stranger's grin was something else, an exquisite portrait in nonchalance. "Oh, you mean my identity?" he smiled, the tone oozing with amusement. "Xavier McKinney," he said, his voice bell-like. A collective breath halt, the room was like a breath held. Silas's eyes were wide, white circles, his face bloodless, his mouth hanging wide open. I felt like I'd been gut-punched again as my mind strayed to what all of this might mean. "You're the mighty Lycan king?" I asked, my voice barely audible. Xavier nodded, his gaze locked on mine. I felt submerged in them like a shipwrecked sailor. Silas's growl was low, a rumbling threat like thunder on a summer day. "What are you doing here in my territory?" he sneered, his muscles flexing as if caged. Xavier rolled his eyes heavenward, saint-like in his forbearance of fools. "I'm here to get my mate," he drawled, monotone, so drab it was positively soporific. Silas's face turned purple, his eyes popping out of their sockets frog-like. "You mean my mate?" he spat at him with a resounding spit, his poison like venom inside. Xavier's smile was a slow, sweet unfolding, an ascension of the sun in the mountains. "No," he answered in that voice like honey and wine, deep and husky. "I mean my mate." He looked further. "And I'm not leaving without her." Turning to Silas, Xavier's eyes had the sparkle of fun in them. "I thought you turned her down," he said, his voice tinged with a curiosity that made Silas's face darken and his eyes flash in anger, but by then, Xavier's attention had shifted to me. "Olympia, I'm here to take you with me, to mine, as my mate and future Luna Crystal," he said, his voice low, husky, sending some shivers down my spine. "Are you willing? If you do not want to leave, I respect your will and will not force you." His words touched my heart; his consideration and respect for my choice were balm to my soul. Beaming, I nodded at him—my mind decided. "I'd love to go with you to your pack." Silas's growl was low, full of danger—a rumbling sound. His eyes blazed with furious precious metal burning in them. "Not on my watch," he snarled, stepping a pace further forward, but his father's firm hand stopped him on the shoulder. "She's chosen, son. Deal with it," Xavier said, firm but calm in tone. Silas's eyes fastened thoughtfully on Xavier, full of rancor, and then he turned around and strode out of the room, leaving a deafening awkward silence. The look I was getting didn't stop from asking my questions though, "So what's the plan?" I asked and he chuckled darkly. "You're going back with me." He said that so smoothly without hesitation that I started asking myself questions. The night has grown thick and it was very clear that we can't return to Xavier's pack this late in the night. I wondered why the pack members were still awake including the council of elders. I've been scared for so long but I feel safe with Xavier besides me. "This is an honour to me, that's how it's been done." Xavier explained and I nodded wondering how he knew what I was thinking. "There is no room reservation for you both!" Silas stated with so much energy and just a glance from Xavier, he immediately behaved and toned down. "No matter what, just know that she's a slut and will forever remain one." Silas wasn't having it and he was throwing tantrums. "She's my Luna now so the best you can do is give her the same respect you would give to me without hesitation." Xavier said with more authority and maturity, I admired him for that. He was a definition of calm, collected, caring and above all handsome. I think that's something Silas can't seem to handle. **** I stood frozen, my heart racing, as I read the words on the page. The letter, seemingly innocuous, now felt like a ticking time bomb in my hands. The message was brief, but its impact was devastating. "Run away from Xavier. He's a monster. He's behind your parents' brutal murder. He's been playing you all along, using his charm to manipulate you. Don't trust him. Don't go near him. He'll destroy you too." The words seared themselves into my brain, conjuring up images of Xavier's smile, his laughter, his gentle touch. But now, those memories seemed tainted, corrupted by the sinister truth. I felt a chill run down my spine as I realized I had been living with a monster. The letter went on, its words dripping with malice. "He's been watching you, studying you, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. You're just a pawn in his game, a game of death and destruction. Don't become his next victim." I felt like I was trapped in a nightmare, with no escape. The room seemed to close in around me, the shadows cast by the flickering lights twisting into sinister grins. I thought of all the times Xavier had been alone with me, the times he had touched me, held me. My skin crawled at the memory. I knew I had to get out of there, to escape the monster that lurked beneath Xavier's charming facade. I grabbed my bag and ran, not knowing where I was going, but knowing I had to get away. The letter's words echoed in my mind, fueling my fear, my determination to uncover the truth. As I fled, I couldn't shake the feeling that Xavier was watching me, waiting for me to make a wrong move. I glanced over my shoulder, expecting to see his smiling face, but there was no one there. Yet, the feeling persisted, haunting me like a ghost. It was dark and late in the night, but I ran like I was being chased!Third person’s POV Xavier woke up the following morning to an empty bed but Olympia wasn’t in bed anymore. His first thought was that she had woken up earlier to prepare for their journey back to his Kingdom where they were going to start a new life but when he got out of bed and searched for her, he couldn’t find her anywhere. He searched frantically for her but she was still nowhere to be found. He paused for a while to wonder where she could be and a wild thought crossed his mind. Perhaps, Silas sent men to abduct her in the middle of the night while we slept, he thought. He got dressed and stormed out of the room, making his way to Silas’s home. When he got there, he tried to make his way through to confront Silas but Silas’s men refused him entrance. It was at that point that Silas stepped out. “What’s this noise so early in the morning?” He asked but immediately he saw Xavier, confusion spread out on his face. “Xavier? What are you doing here? You already took my mate with
OLYMPIA’S POV “Come live with me,” she said.“Why would you do that? You don’t even know me,” I said, confused.Lola chuckled before replying, “I don’t need to know who you are before I help out. You need help and I have the resources to help. That’s why I’m offering you a place to stay. Also, I think we’d be very good friends.”I looked at her face and she had a smile etched on it. She looked like a really nice person and a harmless one at that. It would be rude of me to reject her offer. “But I really don’t want to impose on you,” I said.“And who said anything about you imposing? You’re not imposing at all. I really want to do this. Well, I’m not trying to force you to accept my offer but I really would be happy if you accepted it,” Lola said. I looked up at her with a smile. I guess it’s not a bad idea. After all, I’ve not gotten a place for the night yet, I thought. “Fine, I’ll take you up on your offer,” I said and a bright smile exploded on her face. She hugged me in exc
Xavier’s POV(Back at the Lycan Territory)“Xavier, it’s been six years since she went missing. Why don’t you give up?” one of the elders of my pack said.“You don’t tell me what to do, Elder Wade. I will not stop searching until she’s found. So, get used to it,” I replied.“So, what if she’s never found? Or you find her and she’s already dead?” Elder Moore said.I turned to look at him, rage burning in my eyes.“Don’t you ever make such a statement again, Elder Moore. And I’m saying this to everyone else. Anyone who isn’t comfortable with me searching for Olympia can leave but I’ll keep searching for her and that’s final,” I said, scanning the room.By the look on their faces, the elders weren’t pleased with my decision but unfortunately for them, I am the Lycan King and what I say stands. I dismissed them before walking out of the throne room. Back in my room, I couldn’t help but wonder if Olympia would ever be found.Since she mysteriously disappeared 6 years ago, I’d been searchin
Olympia’s POV Lola, Zayn and I were having breakfast one Saturday when Zayn suddenly asked,“Momma, where’s my Dada?”Lola and I exchanged glances, as I wondered why Zayn was suddenly coming up with such a question.“Zayn baby, where did you hear that from?” Lola asked him.He turned to look at her and replied,“My friends at school have daddies that take them out for fun. Why don’t I have a daddy like that?” he replied.Lola and I exchanged glances one more time. Both of us had no idea what to say to him. My mind raced as I struggled to look for the best answer to give him. What’s the best way to explain to my 6-year old son why his father is absent in his life? I began to feel hot and confused. Lola must have noticed my uncomfortable state because she turned to Zayn with a smile on her face and asked, “Hey buddy, would you like to go to the park with me?”Zayn, immediately forgetting the question he had asked earlier, turned to face her in excitement and nodded his head happily.
Olympia’s POVMy heart sank as my eyes remained fixated to the envelope in his hand. I couldn’t move. I couldn’t speak. I just stood, frozen.“Olympia, should we order pizza tonight or…” Lola was saying and then trailed off.“Olympia, what’s wrong?” she asked me but I didn’t answer, she turned to look at Zayn and then she saw it.“Is that…” she trailed off again.“Who gave you that, Buddy?” she asked Zayn.“I was playing outside with my ball and a man gave me this. He asked me to give it to mummy,” Zayn replied.Lola took the envelope from Zayn and asked him to go up to his room. Immediately he was out of sight, she approached me and helped me sit back down on the couch.“Olympia, here is another letter and I’m sure it says the same thing as the others you’ve received. Why don’t you change your mind and go to the Lycans territory? This message could be coming in repeatedly for a reason. Perhaps someone out there is trying to tell you something. Who knows? You could find out the truth
Olympia’s POV“This is your plan?” I asked Lola as we stood in front of the building.“Uh-huh,” she replied. “Lola, we’re supposed to be in hiding, remember. Xavier cannot know that I’m in his territory and working as a healer in his territory’s hospital is going to put me in the spotlight. Besides, why would you think about me working here?” I said to her.“What’s wrong with you working here? Girl, you’re one of the best healers I have ever seen. All those times you healed Zayn and I whenever we had a bruise or fell ill is enough experience you need. I still don’t know why you refused to apply for a healer’s position at our former territory’s hospital. By now, you probably would have been made healer,” she said.“Fine, you’ve said enough but what if Xavier sees me here?” I asked. “No, he wouldn’t. I already asked a friend who works here and she said the Lycan King rarely comes to the hospital. The healers go to him in the palace whenever he needs to be treated. So, you have nothing
Olympia's POV I froze, not knowing what to reply. His piercing gaze was still fixated on me, making me believe they were capable of reaching into my soul. “I'm…I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that. It's just…” I was saying until I got cut short by Head Healer Ryder. “Are you kidding me? That was incredible” he said, his voice dripping of admiration and praise. I looked at him with a shocked expression and said, “Really?” “Of course. Your healing abilities are impeccable,” he answered. I stood still, dumbfounded as I watched the man who had not long ago scorned my qualifications, now singing my praises. “Told you she's good,” Lola said to him, beaming from ear to ear. “And I should have believed you,” he replied. Then turning to face me, he said, “I'm sorry for underestimating you earlier. It's just that we've had many people come in to apply for positions like this and they don't have any experiences and qualifications and when we give them a chance, they mess u
Olympia's POV The following morning, I woke up very early, feeling both nervous and excited at the same time. I was eager to begin my first official day as a healer in the hospital. I had just finished dressing up in the blue uniform that was delivered to the house the previous night when Zayn ran into the room. “Wow Mommy, you look so beautiful,” he exclaimed. “Aww thank you baby,” I replied. “I'm so excited,” he said. “And why’s that, baby?” I asked him. “Aunty Lola said you will be saving lives. I can't wait to tell everyone that my Mommy is a lifesaver,” he said. I felt my heart warm up when he said this. This meant he was proud of me as his mother. I pulled him in for a hug. “Aww baby, mummy is so happy to hear that. Don't worry, I'll do my best to save as many lives as possible, okay?” I said to him and he nodded in excitement. I looked at myself in the mirror one last time to ensure that I wasn't missing anything before grabbing my back and leaving the room. W
Chapter 49Their gazes met and clung as she slowly pulled the tie until it slipped loose. The size of his erection parted the built-in split, but it wasn’t enough. Olympia took hold of the waistband and just as slowly pulled his bottoms down. She dropped with them, keeping her gaze on Xavier’s but very aware of how close his sex was to her face. His cock was long and thick and bobbed as if inviting her to put her mouth on him. The musky scent of his arousal sucked her in.It was an intoxicating aphrodisiac.Olympia couldn’t help it. As she began to rise, she stuck her tongue out and gave his cock a long sweep from where it jutted out at his balls, to the dripping, bulbous head. She heard Xavier's hiss, and then he was hauling her into his arms."I'm going to enjoy fucking you." He kissed her roughly.Being crushed against his naked, aroused body fueled Olympia’s arousal to dizzying heights. His cock slid between her thighs and over her pussy like a hot poker, burning her while turnin
Oh my god!Olympia slammed the door shut and locked it. She was trapped in the home of a man who thought he could change into a wolf! She’d gone to the door to ask Xavier if he minded if she made another pot of coffee when she’d heard him say, “I want her, cousin.” Though her name hadn’t been mentioned, instincts warned her that they were talking about her. She couldn’t believe what she’d heard following that. She’d always been curious by nature, too curious; her mother would scold her when she was little. But nothing could draw her away from the door at that point. She stepped back into the shadows when Xavier got up from the steps, only revealing herself when she sensed that their conversation was ending.Terrified, her gaze darted around the room for something, anything she could use as a weapon. All she wanted now was to get out of there alive. The doorknob rattled behind her, and Olympia swung around with a cry. Then, before her disbelieving eyes, the door was kicked in and Xav
SHE’S IN HEAT,” WAS the first thing out of Max’s mouth as the two men sat down on the porch steps. An abrupt laugh escaped Xavier that had little to do with humor. “Yeah, I've noticed. It’s been fucking hell.” Keeping his distance, ignoring the pull of her scent would break a weaker man, but that man wasn't him.“You haven’t mated her yet?”Xavier shook his head. “She doesn’t know why she’s here. I at least owe her an explanation before I claim her.” He only hoped that he could hold out.Max chuckled. “You think that’s going to make a difference? Maybe if she’d grown up within the pack and knew our ways, knew what to expect. She was raised differently, cousin. She doesn’t even know that we exist.”“Seeing is believing. Besides, it doesn’t matter what she believes. She’s my mate, and she’ll have to comply with our laws.”It’s going around that you and Clive fought over a woman last night. I’m assuming it was Serena.” Max frowned. “I’m confused over your hostility toward her though. You
Olympia sighed and moved against the soft blankets, confused by what was happening to her. She was alive, but more than that, her body was consumed with a fierce need she couldn’t will away, and she didn’t want to. The feeling coursing through her was stronger than she’d ever known, a hunger that was going to eat her up if she didn’t do something about it, and soon. Was she still sleeping, or locked in some kind of sensual dream? She couldn’t seem to open her eyes. Everything seemed intensified, her heartbeat, her breathing, the erotic rush that followed the caress of her hands as she touched herself. Oh, God! What’s happening to me? Olympia caressed her aching breasts and taut nipples before her hand glided down to the pulsing flesh between her legs.God, I’m so hot!She parted her thighs and touched her tingling clit. It was as hard as a rock and twice the normal size. Rapture overwhelmed her at that slightest touch, causing her to arch her hips off the bed. Why am I so horny? Wha
Xavier stared down at Olympia as she slept; satisfied that she was going to be okay now that she was dry and warm. Once he’d gotten her back to his cabin he’d stripped her and wrapped her in blankets warmed in front of the fire. Hypothermia would have been the least of her troubles had his half-brother Ryder gotten to her first.Even knowing that Olympia was born his mate, Ryder had been hell bent on getting to her first and leaving his mark on her. That would have ruined the elders’ plans, but it wouldn’t have stopped Xavier from claiming her as his. Wolves only had one mate, and they mated for life. As the alpha male in the pack, they could deny him nothing. He’d sensed her presence almost from the moment she’d arrived in Savage Hills, at his invitation, and under the promise of a job. It hadn’t taken him long to locate her, either. Her scent was a powerful aphrodisiac to him, tempting the wolf in him to come out, to seek and protect. The urge to claim her was stronger than he’d ant
The answer became clear the second the wolf began to paw and slam against the driver’s side window with bruising force. Ollie wasn’t going to hang around to see what he was going to do before she made up her mind. He was after her, and going by his frenzied actions, he didn’t want her to pet him. She struggled to her feet, blinking against the pounding rain. It didn’t matter which way she went, she only knew that she had to run.She turned toward the woods and didn’t think twice about heading for them. Barely paying attention to the branches and leaves that were striking her body, she ran as fast as she could, blindly into the cold, wet darkness, aware that the wolf’s mate was somewhere out there, too, and possibly with the rest of the pack.Ollie ran until she couldn’t run any further. Out of breath and with a painful stitch in her side, she fell to her knees. She grabbed her side, wheezing and panting, listening for any sound that indicated that the wolf was following her. For a whi
Olympia POVMy eyelids flutter open, and I stare at the ceiling, feeling dazed.'Where am I?'I don't know this place. The ceiling is enough to tell me that this isn't my place. My ceiling is dark and spotty. This one has been painted over with a vibrant blue.Pulling myself into a sitting position, my eyes take in the room. My head is splitting, and my body feels heavy. It takes me a couple of minutes to realize that this is a motel room. The small outdated television box across the room is a dead giveaway. My fingers run through my hair, agitated, "How did I get here?"My memory is fragmented. There's no scent in this room except mine.I know I didn't walk here on my own two feet. Even if I had been drunk out of my mind, I wouldn't have come to an unknown motel just for kicks. No, somebody brought me here. Tense, I get to my feet, my whole body feeling like it has just taken a savage beating. Using the bedpost for support, I search the room for my things, but I can't find them. My h
Olympia POVWe had been on the run for weeks, driving north to ensure no one would find us.But now we have to stop running. We had no choice when I felt my heat stir beneath my skin, ready to break free.Only this time, I was excited about it. Because now it was with Xavier by my side.Anticipation rose, sparks ignited on my bare skin when he pulled me closer, hating how my scent peaked and we were still in the car with the others.Ryder was driving like crazy, trying not to get distracted by my heat, while Xavier couldn’t stop his chest from rumbling. Logan growled possessively beneath the surface.Yes, it kept the other wolves at bay, but it also made this fire inside me rise higher and higher.“I think we need to stop.” Ryder’s words were strained, his hands turning white from the firm grip on the steering wheel.“Are we almost there?” I asked and immediately cursed myself for opening my mouth. Because the way my voice sounded, all needy, really didn’t help.Conner and Ryder tried
Olympia’s POV "What? That drawing!" Xavier exclaimed from behind me as I was done drawing."What? Does it bring a bell?" I asked, looking at him in surprise."Uhm... Kind of." He said."Are... are you sure? You acted like you remembered the logo or something." I asked, eyeing him suspiciously. He grabbed a bottle of beer and slurped almost all the content in it.I tried to snatch the bottle back, but he's bigger and stronger than me, and there's no way in hell he's letting me have it back."It's none of your business," I spit out weakly."These are illegal," he says furiously, "which makes it my business.""Nu-uh!" I shake my head. "They're not, and they're mine. You can't steal my property!"He meets my gaze, tucking the orange-colored bottle into his back pocket, "You're in a lot of trouble.""I have to take those!" I snarl. "Or I'll go out of my mind! I have classes with you every other day, or have you forgotten?! And then you show up like clockwork at my place of work! This is t
