Cassie quickly entered the changing room, hoping to escape Arden's questioning. But he followed closely behind, his voice echoing off the locker room walls.

But Arden didn't give up. He followed her to her locker, his eyes locked on hers. "Cassie, talk to me. What's going on?" he pressed.

Cassie gathered her belongings and turned to Arden. "I'm going home," she said. She didn't know what annoyed her more, the fact that she was stolen from, or the insufferable girl out there.

Arden looked concerned. "Cassie, wait. What's going on? You just stormed off the court and now you're leaving?"

Cassie hesitated, then asked, "Did you know about the launch?"

Arden frowned. "What launch?"

Trent shrugged off the shattered glass, not even bothering to glance back at the mess he had made. He strode into his office, slamming the door behind him. He began to pace the floor. Trent was angry and frustrated. As he walked, he blew into his palm, trying to calm himself down. He took deep breaths, attempting to regulate his heartbeat. But no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't shake off the feeling of disrespect that Ross's behavior had left him with."It's not just about the shareholders meeting," Trent muttered to himself. "It's about the fact that he can't seem to respect me, no matter how hard I try."Trent stopped pacing and stood in front of his desk, staring blankly at the wall. It had been a week since Trent was in custody but he was in a fancy prison cell. They had applied for bail multiple times but their bail request kept getting canceled. So they opted for the next best thing, a boujee house arrest. Trent was sitting on the soft couch in the beach house, staring out the window at the ocean, which was a much more pleasant view than the one he would have had if he were still in jail.He couldn't go back home for obvious reasons. His lawyers had been able to arrange for him to be placed under house arrest at the beach house, which was a much more comfortable and luxurious environment than a jail cell. The beach house was fully staffed, with a personal chef, maid, and security team, and Trent had access to a private gym, pool, and outdoor lounge area.Despite the luxurious surroundings, Trent was getting restless and anxious to clear his name and get back to his normal life. His lawyers were working hard to prepare his defense, but the wait was agonizing f
