It has been one month since my father played a prank on me by showing me a silly phone recording of Fatima’s voice. It has also been one month since I became Lucas’ Luna. I still experience feelings of guilt, but I can also recognize the value of being respected and cherished by others.
“Fatima,” Lucas called, reaching for my hand.
I observed as he kissed his hand, and to my surprise, he promptly placed a ring on it without hesitation.
“What are you doing?” I asked awkwardly and ended my words with a laugh.
“Fatima, ever since you became my Luna, I cannot imagine my life without you. You have become even more perfect, although I sense that something about you has changed--”
Amid his sentence, I abruptly silenced him with a passionate kiss. His lips met mine passionately, igniting a fire within me. As our mouths moved in perfect harmony, his hands eagerly traced the curves of my waist, sending shivers down my spine.
“Fuck. You’re driving me insane.” He chuckled as we stopped kissing, and I gulped nervously.
“Thank you, Lucas . . . I hold this thing dear, and my love for you has grown stronger. I love you more now than I did before.” His expression underwent a noticeable change upon hearing my words. I felt a gulp rise in my throat, causing me to stumble over my words.
“I have loved you for a while now, but recently, my feelings for you have intensified. I find myself becoming even more infatuated with you.” I snickered, and he nodded in understanding.
“I understand, Fatima. However, there is something that is bothering me.” His gaze grew serious as he looked at me.
I raised my eyebrow and could feel the pounding of my heart. “Have you killed Lilith?” I was taken aback when he asked me that.
He shook his head and gently touched my hand.
“Listen, Fatima . . . I’m sorry for bringing this up, but you mentioned that you kill harm, and I haven’t seen her since then.”
“Lucas, please stop.” I sighed and rubbed my forehead in frustration before turning away from him.
“So, you’re pretending that you don’t despise her now--”
“I strongly dislike Lily!” I shouted at him, giving him a disapproving glare while also conveying sadness in my eyes. “Please refrain from mentioning her. I am not familiar with her anymore, okay . . . ?” I muttered.
I feel angry right now. So, she’s planning to kill me all the time.
Lucas is holding my hand. “Fatima, please try to calm down. I am concerned about your well-being. You know that I will always be willing to do anything for you and—”
He abruptly stopped speaking, and I could sense his gaze fixed on my back. The room was filled with murmuring voices from the surrounding crowd.
I arched my eyebrow. “Lucas . . .” I attempted to call him, but he was still looking at my back.
I took a deep breath and turned around, completely surprised to see Fatima. Her eyes were fixed on us, and she had luggage as if she were planning to move here. To my astonishment, I noticed my father chasing after her, equally shocked by the sight.
They appeared to have a sense that she was the genuine Fatima.
“What is this?” she asked. Everything about her exuded Fatima, from her attire, which consisted of her favorite dress, to the way she dropped the bag she was holding. As a result, all eyes shifted toward me and then quickly diverted to her.
“What is currently taking place?”
“Is that Lilith or Fatima?”
“Attention, everyone! My name is Fatima, and I am the authentic Fatima. I am the Alpha King’s sole mate, and I am here to reveal the truth about Lilith. She falsely claims to be me to win over Lucas, and she even went as far as to kill me!” I shook my head in disbelief as she began to roar and cry.
No . . .
This couldn’t be real.
I turned around to face Lucas. “Lucas, that statement is not accurate.” I find myself frequently shaking my head.
I feel nervous. I feel like this is the end of the world of mine.
“Oh, please don’t lie, Lily! You constantly associate everything with my death. You went as far as creating a tombstone with your name on it and even vandalizing my car, hoping that I would meet my demise that night and--”
“I’m sorry; that was an unintentional mistake! I did not kill you!” The moment I shouted those words, everyone’s eyes widened.
I have just confirmed that I am not Fatima.
It’s making people crazy.
And it’s making me go insane.
I faced Lucas again and attempted to reach out and hold his hand, but he forcefully pushed me away.
“What the heck. . . So I’ve been kissing Lilith and thought she was the love of my life?” He stuttered, his eyes turning red as he looked at me. Tears began to drip from his eyes.
“I apologize for lying, Lucas--” He walked past me and approached Fatima.
“Fatima,” he spoke, his words faltering.
I can see that everyone is looking at me with expressions of disgust.
“I’m sorry, Lucas. I suffered severe facial injuries, which required me to be in a coma for a month to survive. Additionally, I need time to heal. To my surprise, someone has already taken over my position.” she uttered, and now I understand that my father has disappeared.
It’s disheartening to realize that he couldn't even protect his daughter from his plan.
I know he wouldn’t care at all.
A tear rolled down my cheek. “I can explain to every one of you--”
“Punish her!” The words echoed as everyone yelled, and Lucas, with tears streaming down his face, turned to look at me.
“Lily, you are not welcome here. Your act of lying has caused me to feel disgusted. Are you feeling desperate?” he spoke with a cold tone.
“Listen up, Lucas. Let me explain everything to you. I desperately yearned to engage in a heartfelt conversation with you!” I sprint after him, my heart pounding as I push my legs to their limits, determined to catch up.“Lily, there’s absolutely nothing worth discussing. You must leave immediately--”“I swear, I am innocent! I would never lay a hand on Fatima!” I cried out in surprise and sorrow as tears welled up and spilled down my cheeks. He exclusively indulges in the rich, velvety nectar of the gods - wine.He abruptly shifted his body, fixing his gaze directly on me, causing me to shake my head in response instinctively. “I’m at a loss for words, but she was involved in a devastating accident, and my father said--”“I couldn’t care less about your explanation, not even a single ounce of concern! You nearly took Fatima’s life, and she’s still recovering!” he bellowed, his voice
From Lucas’ perspectiveI find myself in the solitude of my office, surrounded by nothing but the echoes of my thoughts. My mind is a swirling vortex of thoughts. Suddenly, Fatima materialized before me, her countenance devoid of any emotion, her face an empty canvas.“Is there something amiss?” she inquires, her brows furrowing with concern. She is the woman who holds my heart, but our once vibrant love has become a mysterious enigma.I gently reached out and caressed her soft, rosy cheeks. “I can’t help but feel a surge of joy as I see your familiar face standing beside me once more.” I softly exhaled my words, barely audible.“I adore you with such intensity that the mere thought of losing you again sends shivers down my spine. . .” I whispered under my breath, desperately yearning for the gentle caress of her touch.
