AUTHOR’S POV

Lily knew there was something off about Cruz and she could tell by how distant he had been of late especially ever since she came but she refused to let that get to her regardless because she believed that he would always be hers and only needed time to process everything. Her coming back and all.

So she provided him with a better offer and that was sex since it was said to connect two lovers together. But the outcome of it had been more scarier than she thought. Every-time it crossed her mind that she almost died in the hands of the male she loved, a different kind of chill would run down her spine.

It had been hours since they last saw and he also made no attempt to come to the room so she could tell that he was beating himself up over it again just like he always did whenever things refused to go his way. She went in search for him but couldn’t find him in his study room and she was starting to get worried when she crossed Martins who directed her to where he was but

ELEANOR’S POV It had been days since I got here, days since Damon held my hand as I gulped down the bitter herb and days since I started to see him as a brother figure because he turned out to be more friendly than I thought. I was starting to get better too because I no longer felt any unnecessary pain except the headaches that came once in a while. My eyes followed Nana as she walked towards me with another herb concotion in her right hand and it caused me to move my nose in an irritable way.“Don’t give me that look, young lady. You should be used to the smell by now.” She said causing me to grump a little before she shoved it in my face and I took it from her.My eyes moved from her to dart across the room. Damon had been gone all day and it was unlike him not to be here anytime it was time for my medication because he knew how I felt about the horrid smell and all, most especially Nana’s hard stare every time she wanted me to use them.“You need to think of your baby.” She wou

Was he strange that he made no attempt to ask me questions about who the father of my baby was ever since we figured out I was pregnant?I was glad that he didn’t though because I doubted that I would have told him.But now that he sat beside me at the dinning table, chewing carefully on his spaghetti and sauce, I couldn’t help but wonder that he at least deserved to know.“He doesn’t know I’m pregnant.” I blurted out before I could stop myself.Don’t mind me, I couldn’t think of the best way to bring the conversation up.I watched him hang his hand midway as he raised his head to look my way.“Who?” He asked in confusion and I bit on my lower lip before looking back at him.“The Father of my baby.” I responded, given that I believed that was the best way to refer to him without hurting myself.“Oh!” He exclaimed. “Reason be?” He asked.I looked away from him to stare back at my food, my right fingers clu

She reminded him a lot about of her late Mother who happened to have being the best thing that ever happened to him. “Thank you, Father. You look young yourself.” She complimented too causing a laugh to erupt from the depth of his inside.Beatrice cleared her throat from where she stood, just beside the two whose love and affection seemed to have overwhelmed their presence. One of the things she hated about seeing them both together. She felt a pang of jealously deep down because she could tell that Patrick loved his daughter more than he loved her and her son, Robe

CRUZ’S POV I was starting to have a rethink of just how much I claimed I could live without Eleanor because that was starting to look and feel impossible. I found myself yearning for her touch and her heart called out to her almost every minute. Deep down, it felt like my chest was sliced and my heart was pulled out then squeezed into tiny chucks. My pain knew no bound, not in the slightest. Not only did I feel miserable but I also looked miserable and Martins had confirmed that on the day I asked him to get me some nice suit, although I never told him it would be for my new wedding.New!The word hurts.“Master, you good? You look miserable.” He had said causing me to nod in response before continuing to torture myself with more push ups.I could tell too myself with the way my eyes had fallen deep into my socket and the bags that now settled underneath them. I couldn’t remember the last time I shaved too. Aside today.Lily had informed me at breakfast this morning that her family

CRUZ’S POV Sitting here only reminded me more of El. It reminded of the day that I had bought her, the day that my whole world changed for the best. I could remember bringing her here to get some new clothes and an image of hers played in my head.It felt weird that I was sitting here too waiting for someone that wasn’t El. Waiting for the female that was now going to be her substitute. What a creep I was?Toying with these females’ emotions as though they meant nothing.Deep down, I asked myself what I would have done differently if I ever had the chance to go back in time and relive the day I bought her and although any sane Wolf response would have been not to buy her. Mine was that I would have learned to love her early, instead of discovering so late just how much she meant to me.But it was too late now. My feelings meant nothing anymore because she was probably somewhere, living her life, laying in the arms of another male and screaming out his name as he slid in her and bange

CRUZ’S POV It had been hours since the incident, long agonizing hours since we got home and I watched Lily head to her room without sparing me a glance. I doubted that she even remembered to take her thong with her.I wouldn’t blame her though, if she hated me because as I obviously hated myself as it is and my head kept twirling at the thoughts of how I could make it up to her.Our wedding was in two days time and I was starting to accept the fact that there was no way out of this now. Another sweat rolled down my forehead to land in front of me as I did the hundredth push-up, ignoring the throbbing pain in my arms. A voice in my head reminded me that I couldn’t stay here all day and that I had to do something so I did. I stood up and headed into the restroom to take a quick shower then headed out, to pick up the drug I had snuck out to get. According to the female, she said it would start working just fifteen minutes after use.I threw two pieces in my mouth and gulped it down wi

AUTHOR’S POV It was finally time.Lily thought as she smiled at the beautiful reflection of herself in the mirror. She loved him so much and she was glad that at last she would get to spend forever with him.“It’s time, my love. Time to finally start your own family.” Mr Patrick said as he fixated his eyes on her with his palms placed on her tensed shoulders.“I’m nervous, Father.” She said truthfully. “Did you feel this way too? I mean with Mom?” She asked out of curiosity even though she knew what the answer would be because every one knew for sure that her Father always loved her Mother even till the point of death.“Of course, darling.” He responded and let out an heartwarming soft laugh as his mind flooded with the memories of the past. The best thing of his life. Only that every day with Jane was the best day of his life.“Would you find it weird if I told you that I pooped my pant just minutes before the aisle walk?” He paused to laugh some more, his eyes filled with warmth a

AUTHOR’S POV She sat there, staring at them as they did her thing while anger surged through her because she despised Lily. She hated that she had to get everything good and had things at her disposal. She couldn’t bear seeing the smile that Lily had on because it only made her stomach clench the more.Deep down she knew she had to do it. She had to wipe off the smile she had on so she did it, raising her voice as she made her way to the front.“Stop the wedding.” She said again, this time her voice louder as she watched everyone turn their heads her way to check if she really meant it.“What are you doing, Beatrice?” She heard Patrick, her husband, say as he made his way towards her to pull her off the stage. She knew what he was about to do but she refused to let him. She refused to let them both lie to this innocent Male just like they had done all these while.“Don’t do anything stupid.” Patrick warned sternly as he sent her a hard glare then grabbed her arm.“Leave me, Patrick.
