ROSALIA'S POV:-

"DON'T YOU FUCKING DARE DISRESPECT ME EVER. I've already warned you. Don't make me hurt you. Next time I won't let it slide this easily," He shouted, making me flinch, and left.

I sat there crying and caressing my bruised cheek.

It was almost 11 when Maria came in with a tray full of food.

"Madam I brought your breakfast. You didn't come downstairs--"

"I don't want to eat", my voice trembled. I looked at her with teary eyes.

She put the tray on the nightstand and hurriedly came close to me. I hugged her tightly and wiped away my tears.

"What happened madam?" She held my shoulders trying to comfort me.

"Do you know I'm forced here?" I asked looking into her eyes. She looked down confirming her affirmation. "You all know this but still support Kevin. Why?"

"We are just servants madam. I've been working for this family for almost twenty years now. Loyalty and obedience are the only things that earn us respect here."
