Tricked!

Steve sat behind his desk in his study, he thought back to the woman in his bedroom and pinched the space between his brows. A hint of frustration flashed through his eyes, he was quite angered too, he never thought that someone would have the mind to trick him on his wedding and set him up with another woman.

He drummed his fingers on the table as though he wanted to dispel his anger through that action. He halted his action after a moment and reached out to pick up the phone in front of him. He dialed a number on the phone and raised it to his ear.

The phone rang a couple of times before it was picked up on the other side. Just as soon as the call connected, a soft voice sounded through the speaker from the other side.

"Steve, you called me today, sorry I did not pick up quickly, I am busy here in Paris and– shit!" Halfway, the woman suddenly stopped talking and cursed.
