"Welcome to White Rose Pack Elle." Alpha Hansel toned beside me with so much delight as the limo drove through the boundaries of the Pack. I looked out through the window and I would be lying if I said I wasn't stunned. The trees were tall and beautiful, filled with the tweeting of birds. The roads were tarred and the houses and buildings were elegantly built with the people going about their daily business. In all my life, this was the biggest and most beautiful Pack I've ever been to.

I glanced at him but he was busy with his phone like he wasn't expecting me to be stunned. Or maybe he just didn't care about what I thought.

"It's beautiful," I remarked silently but it was more than enough for him to hear.

"I know." He replied nonchalantly without a glance. I kept smiling at my window until we arrived at the Pack House. Two guards came to approach our vehicle. One on the left and the other, to my side. They opened our respective doors courteously and as I stepped out, my jaw dropped. The afternoon's sun warmly graced my skin, My breaths hung in my throat while my eyes twitched repeatedly at the gigantic white mansion standing before me. With the number of guards protecting this place alone, only a fool with a death wish would try to attack this place. Yes I knew, Alpha Hansel was wealthy but I didn't know his affluence reeked this much.

"When you're done daydreaming, come inside." The Alpha's voice tousled my thoughts before he climbed off into the building.

"I know right," someone said beside me, it was his Beta. He had a proud smile as he stared at the building too. "It's beautiful." He muttered as if he knew exactly what was in my mind.

I smiled.

"I don't think we had the opportunity to introduce ourselves properly, last night was a blur for me." He chuckled. "I'm Simon, The Beta of the Pack."

"I'm Elle," I beamed, he hummed in an interesting manner.

"Welcome to White Rose Pack. He told me everything yesterday and I hope you can fulfill your promise. I'm sure he'll treat you right." He muttered and my beam slowly diminished. "Come on in, you don't want to keep him waiting." He beckoned and I followed him from behind. As we climbed the stairs leading to the twin doors, the two guards positioned by the door side opened it while they bowed slightly. It's exterior was a stunner but inside? It was another heaven on its own. Once we got to the ridiculously large living room, Alpha Hansel was seated on a white couch while the maids dressed in short white and black gowns all arranged themselves before him. With just a glance, I could tell they were over thirty.

"I was waiting for you." He uttered while he focused on me, Simon on the other hand sat on another couch in a lazy fashion. "Come over here." He ordered and I quickly obeyed. Walking past the maids I could already hear them whispering about me. I stood nervously by his left whilst wondering what he was up to. "Sit." He ordered, pointing at the couch's arm.

My heart rate started to hit harder but there was no way I could disobey him so I cautiously sat.

"I want you all to meet Elle, my pet." He said and I felt pain and disgust course through my veins like a tidal wave. Of course I was of no relevance to him except breaking his curse but tagging me that name alone brought hurtful memories of Jeff and my past. "She'll be living with us henceforth so you all better treat her as much as you treat the other residents of this house. Is that clear?"

"Yes Alpha." They chorused.

"Elle, I want you to meet Lydia, she's the chief maid and henceforth she would be in your care." He gestured at the stunning brown haired lady at their center. She smiled at me and somehow that relieved me a bit.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Elle." She toned sweetly and I flashed her a smile that only lasted a second.

"Give her the best of the rooms we have, she'll be needing some clothes too," he stared at my body for a while. "Lots of them and make sure to answer all of her requests except it requires my permission."

"Your wish is my command, Alpha Hansel." She beamed at him.

"Alright, take her to her room and do the needful. The rest of you are dismissed." He said while Lydia beckoned me to follow her. And so, I threaded up the stairs behind her and across the hallways till we finally arrived at my room that easily struck me in awe. The room was donned in gold paintings with several luxurious furniture to complement its beauty.

"I hope you like it and if you don't we can make the adjustments as you like." She chirped with my eyes still dazing around.

"No it's fine, I love it." I beamed at her.

"That's great!" She pitched. "So, now that's done, let's get you fixed up. You must have had a long journey, so why don't I treat you to a nice and warm bath?"

"I would really use a bath right now," I exhaled lightly and she chuckled.

"I'll go prepare your bath now, but before that, What would you like to eat?"

"I really don't know but I'm starving." I sat lazily on the edge of the bed.

"Well, I'll surprise you then." She gestured with a wink and I smiled. "Oh and I'll be needing to take your measurements, so we can get the right clothes. Do you have a favorite color?"

I squinted my eyes for a while before I wriggled my head in denial.

"That's--" she paused trying to find the right words.

"Weird?"

"Not at all," she chuckled. "Interesting, is the better word."

I hummed, but deep down all these things didn't really matter to me. All I wanted was to escape from here at the slightest chance I got. Maybe time came back so fast, but it was a better thing either way. The night had finally descended. Hansel and Simon were apparently out with their respective affairs and here I was in my room, alone. This was the perfect time.

I alighted from the bed, and headed to my large window. I could see a huge forest a few meters after this compound, and somehow there must be an escape route, Hopefully. I opened the window and the height below me was tall enough to tell me jumping would only break my legs. But that would only happen for a normal human.

I pulled out a strand of my hair and then my eyes gleamed Scarlett red. I chanted a spell as I held on to the hair and it suddenly turned to a small bird. I let the bird fly out through the window, controlling it till it landed somewhere in the forest. It was a simple teleportation spell. One I never learnt or remembered acquiring in the first place. All I knew was, the spell was always in me and now again, it was going to be handy for me. My eyes gleamed red again as I chanted the finishing spell. I closed my eyes and as I opened them, the moonlight's gaze was what welcomed me first and the gentle breeze that came with it. It was mainly dark but I could still navigate my way through somehow. I turned back only to see the building I'd just left.

"I'm sorry, Alpha Hansel." I whispered and the wind blew past me in a stormy way. Maybe it was just me but it felt wrong leaving. My heart kept judging me but I was definitely not going to listen to it. I've had enough of getting used by Alphas for one moment in my life. And on that note, I started running.

As I strapped my white towel around my waist, my room door opened and I glared in that direction ready to yell at whoever it was that came in without my permission."Christine," my frown vanished as a smile spread on my lips. She is the head of tourism management in my Pack but we were more. "You could have knocked. What if I was naked?"She smirked while she gently closed the door."Do I need permission to see my Alpha," she toned sensually as she approached me. "Besides, I've seen that little man down there so many times." She slowly ran her right index finger across the middle of my sturdy chest and my pulse began rising. Her blonde hair was packed in a messy bun revealing more of that dazzling beauty. Her blue eyes gleamed of one thing, lust and passion and I loved it. Even if I wanted to hold back, her shirt did enough justice revealing her cleavage. I gulped down my saliva, trying to tone down the imaginations running wild in my head."Don't play with me tonight, Chris." I gently

“My goodness, What happened?!” Simon exclaimed as he met me threading towards the Pack House with Elle in my arms. “Get the Pack doctor!” He yelled to the two guards behind him who quickly heeded to his orders. “What happened Hans?!” He demanded as I briskly sauntered into the Pack house. “I- I attacked her by mistake,” I stuttered, unable to process my thoughts clearly. For the first time in so many years, I was overwhelmed with fear.“She’s bleeding real bad Hans.” He toned worriedly as I threaded up the stairs to my room. “I know!” I almost yelled. He helped open her room door and he quickly laid her bed well before I placed her carefully on it. My hands wouldn’t stop trembling, I didn’t even care about the fact that I was naked. All that mattered was the safety of my witch. Of course I was mad at her but at the same time, a major part of me cared badly for her. A part I didn’t know existed. My wolf was even mad at me. “Where the hell is the Pack doctor?!” I barked at no one in

“I know how to deal with your curse.” I muttered and yes, that was clearly another lie. I just promised him not to lie but the truth is, If I didn’t give him something to hold onto for some time, he would get suspicious. Besides, I already knew better that escaping from this Pack wouldn’t be an easy task. I would have to prepare a thorough plan to escape even if that meant feeding him more lies. “Your heart is beating fast, your breaths are unsteady and the look in your eyes is not so convincing. You’re lying to me, Elle.” He peered at me deeply. I gulped down my saliva, for a split moment I had totally forgotten I was dealing with a werewolf. An Alpha one at that. But I couldn’t give up now, to survive I needed to shape my lying abilities to be better. The pain from my stomach is enough to remind me of the torture I would go through.“I swear on my life.” I avowed but he still wasn’t convinced. “Curses are like wounds and all wounds require treatments to be cured. My eyes slowly opened to the morning rays and the sounds of birds tweeting by the window side. I was about to yawn when I suddenly realized the position I was in. I couldn’t take it! Every part of me wanted to hurt them just like they did to my woman. I didn’t even know why I was claiming her as mine but it felt right. Her soft touch on my arm easily soothed my wolf and I to the core. It was divine and like that my anger vanished into thin air. Samantha quickly arranged her Package including a map, the one I overheard them talking about but I wasn’t too inclined to care. A part of me was still deeply concerned about the pain on her wrist. “Let’s go,” she beckoned softly, I glared at Eve for a while. It was my way of warning her this incident hasn’t been forgotten. When we got to the car, “Alpha Hansel,” she called and once again I hated that formal tone. “Do you have any injuries?” She asked. I smiled. “I’m a werewolf, remember?” She nodded slightly and handed me my shirt but I was still drenched in blood. So I cleaned my body with it and took another shirt from my backpack. When I was done, she was waiting inside already. “Thank you.”

My eyes opened to the familiar ceilings of my old room. My old room? This was Jeff’s Pack House! I jolted awake, sitting up restlessly but then I felt a spark from someone holding my left palm tightly but in a gentle manner. “Alpha Hansel,” I whispered, staring into those gray eyes full of so much emotion. “You’re finally awake,” he mumbled with a light sigh following suit, while I stared at my palm that was in between his. “What happened?” I asked, trying to recall how I got here. He cleared his throat. “You fell,” he started and immediately, I recalled how I fell through that thorny hole that clawed me deep as I slid to the ground. And then there was the moonstone and Alpha Hansel yelling my name. “The moonstone!” I exclaimed weakly. “I couldn’t get it.” He wriggled his head and guilt haunt me. “You were dying, Elle. I had to choose one.” He paused.“How—“ my voice trailed off. “How did you do it? It’s not possible to save someone in that forest,”He hesitated for a while and

As I opened it, my eyes exclaimed in awe. “The moonstone,” I mumbled in oblivion while I glanced at Elle who was at the other side. She was just as surprised too but she chose to say nothing regardless. “Why are you giving me this?” “After you told me about what you were looking for in Moonfrost forest, I realized I had one. I got it long ago from a shop mainly because of its aesthetics but looking at it now, you seem to have a more important use for it. So why not,” he explained. “Jeff, this is too precious. I can’t take it.” I tried handing it back to him but he refused vehemently. “I want you to have it, Alpha Hansel.” “Obviously you’re not giving this out just for free, what’s the catch?” “Let‘a just say I want you to owe me a favour. As I sauntered into the shop, the same one Elle had taken me too days back, everyone diverted their attention to me. The smell of tension and fear easily reeked off them and that was exactly what I wanted. I still vividly recall incidents that happened the last time I came here like it was yesterday. And I still wanted to punish them more but maybe tonight, they could make up for their actions. “Well well well, to what do we owe the presence of the great Alpha Hansel,” Eve muttered as I reached the counter and I scoffed. “Certainly, you’re not here to take revenge over the last incident right?” “I might, depending on if you satisfy me or not.” I retorted and she donned a sinister smile. “If we fail to satisfy you?” “Then you and everyone present here should consider this the last breaths you all will take here.” I smiled back in the same manner and immediately, some of the customers dashed out of the building. “You’re alone, Alpha Hansel, my shop is not that easy to be bullied.”
